PIPE SEAL, PIPE ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD FOR FORMING A PIPE ASSEMBLY AND A SEAL
The invention refers to a pipe seal suitable for use in a Rieber joint, the seal (14) comprising an annular sealing member (18) and an annular reinforcing member (20) completely embedded in the sealing member (18). The reinforcing member (20) is made of a rigid plastic band and the reinforcing member (20) includes, for increasing an area of contact between the sealing member (18) and the reinforcing member (20), at least one protrusion (24) and/or at least one recess (26).
Polyurethane Bonding Skeleton for Feeding Tube Device
A feeding tube port for use in connection with an enteral feeding system is provided. The feeding tube port includes an inner core made of a first material and an over-layer made of a second material. The over-layer at least partially encloses the inner core, such that the inner core is configured to resist separation from the over-layer. In some aspects, the inner core may be formed from a rigid plastic material and the over-layer may be formed from a pliable material. The inner core may include one or more ribs, slots and/or apertures configured to enhance adherence between the inner core first material and the over-layer second material. The inner core may further include one or more contact points configured for attachment of a feeding tube valve other similar component to the feeding tube port.
SPEED REDUCER CASING, SPEED REDUCER, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SPEED REDUCER CASING
A speed reducer casing of the present invention has inner teeth on an inner periphery thereof. The speed reducer casing includes an inner tooth portion and a casing body portion, the inner tooth portion including the inner teeth, the casing body portion supporting the inner tooth portion. The inner tooth portion is formed of a material having a higher slidability than the casing body portion. The casing body portion is formed of a material having a higher hardness than the inner tooth portion.
INSERT SINTERED PART AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME
By using a forming die having a fixed die and a movable die moving along a parting surface on the fixed die and by moving the movable die along the parting surface, to press and hold a sintered part between the movable die and the fixed die, to form a cavity around the sintered part except parts which abut on the fixed die and the movable die by the forming die, and to fill the cavity with melted material which becomes an exterior part, so that the sintered part and the exterior part are integrated by insert molding.
FILM TENSIONING ELEMENT, METHOD FOR THE APPLICATION OF A FILM TENSIONING ELEMENT IN COMBINATION WITH THE SCAN HEAD OF A SCANNER, AS WELL AS METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FILM TENSIONING ELEMENT
A film tensioning element is provided for dental applications with a film extending between tensioning rings. The film has a modulus of elasticity of less than 2 KN/mm.sup.2. The film is made of a tough plastic with a modulus of elasticity of more than 1 KN/mm.sup.2, in particular of PP, or optionally of PA. The film tensioning element is manufactured together with the tensioning rings.
Gear, gearwheel pair, and method for producing a gear
A gearwheel pair for a gear unit, comprising a first gear and a second gear, which can be meshed with one another, wherein the first gear consists entirely or partially of metal or plastic and the second spur gear comprises an outer part having a gear rim made of a first plastic and having a number of injection-molded portions, an inlay part made of metal, and a connecting part, which is arranged between the inlay part and the outer part and is made of a second plastic for the interlocked and/or materially-bonded connection of the inlay part and the outer part and further relates to the second spur gear per se, a gear unit having such a gearwheel pair, and a method for producing a second gear, which is used for such a gear unit.
Light-transmissive plastic plate structure with curved surface and method for fabricating the same
The invention refers to a light-transmissive plastic plate structure suitable for vehicle sunroof with curved surface and a method for fabricating the same. By using polymer material formulation, UV resistant coating formulation and precision coating technology, the wear resistance of polymer surface of plastic substrate can be improved to the same level as glass, and the original optical and physical properties after various environmental tests can also be maintained. The plastic substrate is first formed into a curved plastic plate through a hot pressing process, and then a connecting structure is formed and fixed on the plastic plate by an insert-molding injection process, in order to replace the traditional car sunroof mechanism which is assembled by glass plate bonded with metal connecting parts. The light-transmissive plastic plate structure with curved surface comprises a lightweight polymer sunroof and a lightweight plastic connecting structure fixed to the sunroof by insert-molding injection, which can reduce the weight of traditional glass sunroof, front and rear windshield, and side window glass assembly, and is particularly suitable for use in oil-electric hybrid vehicles and pure-electric vehicles that require lightweight specifications.
Filter for a vent opening of a container
A filter for a vent opening of a container comprises a filter element and a flange which surrounds the filter element. The filter element and the flange are integrated by means of an injection molding process, in which material is injected against a solid filter element in a mold, from which material the flange arises after curing. The filter element has an edge portion which extends in its circumferential direction. The edge portion has a front side, a back side and a side edge extending between the front side and the back side. The back side is covered the flange and the side edge in circumferential direction of the edge portion is alternatingly entirely and partly covered from the back side by the material of the flange. At the locations where the side edge is entirely covered the front side is also covered by the material of the flange.
Molds for internal hermetic connector seals
An example mold assembly includes a first core, a second core, and a retaining cap. The first core defines an insert seat configured to receive a mold insert. The first core and the second core are configured to define a mold volume adjacent the mold insert. The retaining cap is disposed about a curved end portion defined by the second core, and defines a curved cap surface in contact with the curved end portion. The retaining cap is configured to secure the second core at a predetermined orientation relative to the first core within predetermined tolerances. An example technique includes positioning a mold insert in the mold assembly, disposing the retaining cap about the second core, securing the second core at a predetermined orientation relative to the first core within predetermined tolerances, and depositing mold material within the mold volume.
Manufacturing method of an annular insert molded article
A method of manufacturing an annular insert molded article that suppresses contamination of a metal mold and generation of foreign matter without increase in material costs for an adhesive or contamination of a transfer jig, and has a high adhesion strength so that, when the annular insert molded article is attached to a rotating body, the adhesive does not peel off from the insert or remain as foreign matter in the rotating body. An annular insert molded article 1 is manufactured by injection molding in a state where a thermoset resin adhesive A is applied to a joining surface of an annular insert 2 attachable to a rotating body to an annular plastic 3 and then the annular insert 2 and the annular plastic 3 are placed in a metal mold.
