APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INJECTION MOLDING ENCAPSULATION
An injection mold for encapsulating a substrate comprises a lower mold component and an upper mold component adapted to form an encapsulation mold at an edge of the substrate when the upper mold component engages the lower mold component. The lower mold component comprises a substrate support and wherein the upper mold component comprises a recess. The injection mold includes a tiltable insert sized and shaped to slide within the recess to form a seal for the encapsulation mold, the insert having a substrate-contacting surface defining an area of the substrate contacted by the insert. The injection mold includes a plurality of pressure-exerting actuators connected to the tiltable insert and each being configured to independently apply pressure on the substrate via the insert, wherein the plurality of pressure-exerting actuators are adapted to equilibrate a total predetermined pressure exerted by the insert substantially evenly across the area of the substrate-contacting surface.
FLASHLIGHT WITH OVERMOLDED GRIP AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A flashlight can include a flashlight shaft, a grip overmolded on the flashlight shaft, and a light element connected to the flashlight shaft. The flashlight shaft can have a circumferential grip recess bounded by two raised portions. The grip recess can have a surface lower than the two raised portions around a circumference of the shaft. The shaft can be integrally formed as a single piece. The grip can be overmolded into the grip recess, such that the grip covers the surface of the grip recess and is bounded by the two raised portions. The grip can be formed of a material that is insufficiently flexible to pass over the two raised portions without damage.
Needle-equipped syringe and injection molding die for the same
A needle-equipped syringe reduces an inclination of a needle by reducing an inclination of a core pin when insert molding is performed. The needle-equipped syringe includes a barrel formed using a resin and having a cylindrical body, a nozzle part provided at a distal end of the body, and an opening part provided at a proximal end of the body; and an injection needle held by the nozzle part. The injection needle and the barrel are integrally molded so that an axis of the injection needle is substantially parallel to an axis of the body. The body has a thick part and a thin part located at a proximal end of the body at opposing positions across the axis of the body. At the proximal end of the body, an axis of an inner surface of the body is offset from an axis of an outer surface of the body.
Foil body, method for back-injection molding a foil body and back-injection molding tool
The invention relates to a film body, a method for the back-injection molding of a film body and a back-injection molding tool therefor. In particular, the invention relates to a method for the back-injection molding of layer electrodes (1) for producing touch-sensitive sensors for example for touch screens. Parts of the layer electrode (1), which after the back-injection molding should still be able to move freely, are covered by a sacrificial film (3) before and during the back-injection molding.
UNIT CELL OF FUEL CELL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A unit cell of a fuel cell includes: an insert including a membrane electrode assembly and a gas diffusion layer; a foamed body disposed on an outer side surface of the insert; and a frame covering an outer side surface of the foamed body such that a polymer resin is injected to the outer side surface of the foamed body while the polymer resin partly penetrates into the foamed body.
Method of Making a Trim Component Having a Fibrous Decorative Covering
A method of making a trim component having a fibrous decorative covering is provided. The method includes providing a polymeric composite sheet having inner and outer surfaces and providing a fibrous decorative covering overlying the outer surface of the composite sheet. The method also includes pressing, in a mold cavity at a molding station, the composite sheet against the covering after the steps of providing to bond the covering to the composite sheet. The method further includes injecting a molten polymer compatible with the polymeric material of the composite sheet into the mold cavity in accordance with a predetermined set of process parameters which are high enough to integrally form at least one structural component via polymeric interfusion at the inner surface of the composite sheet but low enough to avoid damaging the covering.
Clamping fixture for plug electrode
A clamping fixture for plug electrode, including an upper mold, a lower mold and at least one clamping guide block is provided. The lower mold and the upper mold can be separated from and combined with each other. The upper mold has at least one opening through which at least one plug electrode is inserted. The at least one clamping guide block is disposed between the upper mold and the lower mold for clamping and releasing the at least one plug electrode. The lower mold has an inclined surface. When the upper mold is combined with the lower mold, the upper mold pushes the clamping guide block to move toward the lower mold, and the clamping guide block is guided by the inclined surface to move for clamping the at least one plug electrode.
Method and apparatus for producing hollow articles made of injection moulded plastic material
A method and apparatus for producing hollow articles made of injection moulded plastic material by a mould having a die within which there is inserted a core, and at least one injector including a pin valve displaceable between a closing position and an opening position for injecting the pressurized plastic material into a space comprised between the die and the core. During the injection, any flexural deflection of the core is detected and the pin valve of the or of each injector is displaced in a controlled fashion to adjust a pressure and a flow rate of the injected plastic material, so as to reduce or eliminate such deflection of the core.
Method for manufacturing a sensor for a motor vehicle
A method for manufacturing a sensor for a motor vehicle. The method includes placing a sensor core in a lower indentation of a mold; the sensor core having a metal lead frame, including connection pins and lateral retention members, and an integrated circuit, including at least one measurement cell and being overmolded on a support zone of the metal lead frame so the lateral retention members and the connection pins are exposed, and an electrically conductive terminal on each connection pin; placing a magnet in line with the overmolded integrated circuit; placing two lateral indentations of the mold on either side of the magnet and the integrated circuit so the lateral indentations retain the lead frame in the vicinity of the lateral retention members; overmolding the integrated circuit, the magnet and part of the lead frame to allow the free end of the terminals to project; and removing the mold.
