Actuator cap for a fluid spray dispenser
An actuator cap (1; 50) for a fluid spray dispenser comprises a second body part (2) and a first body part (3). The first body part (3) is adapted for connection to a container for the fluid to be dispensed and incorporates a spray channel arrangement (4). The second body part (2) incorporates an actuator button (5) and is rotatable with respect to the first body part (3) from a first position in which the actuator button (5) is non-elevated into a second position in which the actuator button (5) is elevated and capable of depression to cause depression of a part (16) of the spray channel arrangement (4). The actuator button (4) defines a first cam profile (20) along which a first cam follower (22) defined by the first body part (3) travels to cause elevation or retraction of the actuator button (5) when the second body part (3) is rotated. The actuator button (5) also defines a second cam profile (23) that bears against said part (21) of the spray channel arrangement (4) such that when the actuator button (5) is in its elevated position and depressed the actuator button (5) depresses the second cam profile (23) and in turn depresses the part (21) of the spray channel arrangement (4) relative to the first body part (3) to dispense fluid from the container when in use. Preferably, the first and second body parts (3, 2) are individual, integrally moulded components that are snap-fitted together to assemble the actuator cap (1; 50).
Insert molding method and insert molding component
An insert molding component includes a primary molding section having a concave portion formed in one surface thereof, the concave portion including stepped lower and upper concave portions, an insert component disposed on a bottom surface of the lower concave portion, a heat-insulating component disposed in the upper concave portion above an opening of the lower concave portion in which the insert component is disposed, and a secondary molding section disposed in contact with the one surface of the primary molding section.
Method of forming a screw boss in an injection molded polymer part
A method of forming a molded polymer part having a screw boss includes positioning a screw boss insert on a pin of a mold tool. The screw boss insert may contact guide surfaces of the mold tool. During molding, polymer material flows along the screw boss insert while the screw boss insert is positioned on the pin. The polymer material may bond to the screw boss insert. The screw boss insert may include one or more geometric features that prevent rotation and/or axial movement of the screw boss insert relative to the surrounding polymer material.
CROSS VALVE
A two-component cross valve for controlling the fluid flow through a fluid conduit, the cross valve being injection-molded in two steps with no need for assembly after the injection molding procedure. The valve comprises a valve house with a plug inside it, and it has sealing means in the form of variations in the transverse sectional area of the plug and house along their lengths. Thereby, a cross valve is obtained which does not require a viscous sealant, such as silicone, to eliminate the risk of leakage, when the valve is open.
MANUFACTURING AN ASSEMBLY OF A FIRST AND A SECOND OBJECT
A method of manufacturing and assembling a first and a second object wherein the first object is made by bringing a flowable compound into a first object shape and then subjecting the flowable compound to a hardening process that results in a change of a chemical composition of the flowable compound, thereby creating the first object or a part thereof. Then, the first object is positioned relative to a second object, and a flow portion of the hardened article of the modified compound is caused to become flowable by an input of energy. An interpenetration zone of the flow portion and structures of the second object is created, and the flow portion is allowed to re-solidify, whereby the interpenetration zone between the re-solidified flow portion and the structures of the second object secures the first and second objects to each other.
CLEANING ROLL
A method of making a cleaning-roll body having a core and a jacket on the core. The method has the steps of forming the core of a first polymer by injection molding in a first injection mold, removing the injection molded from the first mold, inserting the formed core into a second mold and overmolding the jacket on the formed core.
UNITARY RESPIRATOR WITH MOLDED THERMOSET ELASTOMERIC ELEMENTS
A respiratory protection composite facepiece is disclosed and includes a polymeric rigid facepiece body portion having a first surface and a second surface and a silicone sealing facepiece element chemically bonded at least one of the first surface or the second surface. The first and second surfaces can be opposing major surfaces. A second silicone element is chemically bonded to at least one of the first surface or the second surface. Methods of making the same are also disclosed.
INTEGRALLY MOLDED BODY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
An integrally molded body has a rectangular planar structure in which an inner resin material containing a thermoplastic resin is interposed between a plate material having a design surface and an outer resin material containing a thermoplastic resin, the planar structure having a first joint in which at least a partial region of the outer-peripheral-side surface part and/or the outer peripheral edge part of the plate is joined with the inner resin material, and a second joint in which at least a partial region of the outer-peripheral-side surface part and/or the outer peripheral edge part of the inner resin material is joined with the outer resin material.
Gear, gearwheel pair, and method for producing a gear
A gearwheel pair for a gear unit, comprising a first gear and a second gear, which can be meshed with one another, wherein the first gear consists entirely or partially of metal or plastic and the second spur gear comprises an outer part having a gear rim made of a first plastic and having a number of injection-molded portions, an inlay part made of metal, and a connecting part, which is arranged between the inlay part and the outer part and is made of a second plastic for the interlocked and/or materially-bonded connection of the inlay part and the outer part and further relates to the second spur gear per se, a gear unit having such a gearwheel pair, and a method for producing a second gear, which is used for such a gear unit.
