RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE OBTAINED USING THIS RESIN COMPOSITION
This invention has an object to provide: a resin composition excellent in impact resistance, flexibility, and recyclability obtained as a result of blending a specific ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition with a brittle resin, a recycled resin, or a composite resin including two or more kinds of different resins mixed therein; and a molded article produced with use of the resin composition. The resin composition includes: a thermoplastic resin (A) in an amount of not less than 1 weight % and not more than 99 weight %; and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition (B) in an amount of not less than 1 weight % and not more than 99 weight %, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition (B) including two or more kinds of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers having different vinyl acetate contents, the total amount of (A) and (B) being 100 weight %.
Hybrid pigmented hot stitched color liner system
A method of making a liner for an appliance is provided. The method includes mixing a polymeric capping layer precursor and a pigment additive to form a color capping layer. The method also includes extruding a polymeric base resin to form a polymeric base layer at a base layer formation temperature. The method further includes laminating the polymeric base layer and the color capping layer to form the liner at about the base layer formation temperature.
Toggled roll stack
A roll stack for the production of plastic sheeting uses a pneumatically-operated toggle joint, instead of a hydraulic press, to precisely separate two rollers. The pneumatically-operated toggle joint allows the rollers to be more quickly and safely further separated from each other in case there is an emergency.
Molded surface fastener
In this molded surface fastener, an engaging element includes a columnar stem portion, and micro pawl portions protruding outward from an upper end outer peripheral edge of the stem portion in a plan view of the engaging elements. A pawl width dimension of the micro pawl portions is smaller than a line segment connecting two points on the upper end outer peripheral edge of the stem portion. The micro pawl portions protrude toward a base portion. This molded surface fastener has a high peel strength and a shear strength with respect to a female surface fastener.
COEXTRUSION OF PERIODICALLY MODULATED STRUCTURES
The invention is directed to a method for manufacturing a foil having a variable strip geometry, which makes it possible to supply a foil that bears a complex security feature. The varying of the geometry is effected by means of an adaptation of a melt flow of the extruder.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR FORMING GROOVES IN A BOARD ELEMENT
A method for forming at least one groove in a board element, wherein the board element includes a polymer-based material and, preferably, a filler. The method includes providing a board element including a board portion disposed at an elevated temperature and forming at least one groove by removing material, such as chips, from the board portion by a processing device.
PAINT PROTECTION FILM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
Disclosed is a paint protection film having a storage modulus measured at a temperature of n ° C. according to ASTM D4065 of En, where n is a number representing a temperature in degrees Celsius, wherein E40/E20 is 0.75 or more and 1.1 or less, wherein the paint protection film has a change index dYI of yellowness according to ASTM E313 before and after a UV irradiation, represented by Equation 1 below, of 0.8 or less, where the UV irradiation is performed for 72 hours at an output of 3 W with a light having wavelength from 280 nm to 360 nm:
dYI=|YI−UV_YI| [Equation 1] in Equation 1, YI is the yellowness of the paint protection film before the UV irradiation, and UV_YI is the yellowness of the paint protection film after the UV irradiation.
Micro Embossing
A polymer embossing-tool shim laminate includes a micro-embossed polymeric surface texture with a three-dimensional geometric pattern cured on a polymeric insulator film. The embossing-tool laminate enables methods of producing polymeric laminates with micro-sized, three-dimensional geometric patterns on their surfaces.
APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSION MOULDING CONCAVE OBJECTS
An apparatus comprises: a dispensing device for dispensing at least one polymeric material; a severing element for severing a dose of polymeric material from the polymeric material dispensed by the dispensing device; a transport element for transporting the dose; a mould comprising a male mould element and a female mould element, the female mould element being positioned above the male mould element.
The transport element is configured to perform a first movement by moving along a path directed from the dispensing device towards the mould, so as to bring the dose to the mould. Moreover, the transport element is configured to perform, in addition to the first movement, a second movement by rotating about an axis, so as to turn the dose from a first orientation with which the dose is received by the transport element, to a second orientation with which the dose is released by the transport element onto the male mould element.
PROTECTIVE FILM
A protective film of the present invention is used at the time of performing heat bending on the resin substrate, and includes a base material layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to a resin substrate, in which the base material layer includes a first layer which is positioned on an opposite side of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer and has a melting point of 150° C. or higher, and includes a second layer which is positioned on a pressure sensitive adhesive layer side and has a melting point of lower than 150° C., the pressure sensitive adhesive layer has a melting point of lower than 150° C., and MFR of a thermoplastic resin contained in the second layer, which is measured in conformity with JIS K7210, is in a range of 0.5 g/10 min to 4.0 g/10 min.
