METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING FOOTWEAR STIFFENERS
A method is provided for making a microcellular shoe stiffener has first and second adhesive layers coextruded on opposite first and second surfaces of a stiffener core. The stiffener core may include a recycled polymeric material. Nitrogen in a supercritical fluid state is introduced into the extruder for the stiffener core to produce a closed cell foam with a gaseous component. The gas reduces the weight and cost of the stiffener without significantly reducing stiffness and resiliency.
HIGH ELASTOMERIC MODULUS AND STRENGTH POLYMER CONSTRUCTS AND METHODS OF FORMING
A method of producing high modulus and strength polymer materials includes compressive rolling a semicrystalline polymer material in at least two different axial directions of the material; and axially orienting at least a portion of the compressive rolled material to a draw ratio less than the ultimate elongation or the elongation % at break of the material.
ANTIFERROMAGNETIC STRAIN RECOVERY INDUCED PHOTON PULSE INITIATING BOND CLEAVAGE IN CROSS-LINKED RUBBER STRUCTURES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to a process involving photodissociation to break a sulfur bond, sulfur-sulfur and/or sulfur-carbon bonds. The process utilizes a component that generates photonic energy upon being subjected to a compressing force (e.g., pressure). The photonic energy is bandwidth resonant with the sulfur-sulfur and/or sulfur-carbon bond, causing the bond to break apart. The resulting rubber is suitable for use in applications typically utilizing virgin rubber, such as new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
Optical sheet forming device and optical sheet forming method
An extruding unit, a forming roll unit and a thick portion forming mechanism are provided. The extruding unit has an ejecting slit which ejects sheet-shaped molten resin. The ejecting slit includes a standard gap portion and an enlarged gap portion. The standard gap portion is formed as a gap having a constant size. The enlarged gap portion is formed as a gap larger than the standard gap portion in a position corresponding to a thick portion. The thick portion forming mechanism forms one or several thick portions which are thicker than other portion, in the sheet-shaped molten resin continuously in the extrusion direction.
Molding method and molding apparatus of molded article comprising fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a molding method capable of molding a molded article having excellent strength and reducing manufacturing costs by shortening a molding cycle when obtaining a molded article from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin by compression molding. The present invention relates to a molding method which obtains a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin by kneading a thermoplastic resin and a reinforcing fiber (14), and a molded article from the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin by compression molding. The molding method of the molded article comprising the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin according to the present invention comprises: a molding step for obtaining a first molded article from a predetermined amount of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin through a molding die (4); a carrying-in step for opening the molding die (4), taking out the first molded article, and inserting the first molded article into a cooling die (5); and a compression cooling step for cooling the first molded article by compressing the first molded article through the cooling die (5).
Method, device and injection molding machine for manufacturing clamping ring
Disclosed are a method, an extruder and an injection molding machine for manufacturing a clamping ring, solving problems that products produced by an extrusion method needs to be processed in two steps. The key point of technical solutions lie in a molding step of acting on a pipe member in a plastic melt state via a molding die set, to form a clamping ring from the pipe member; an injection mold injects plastic materials having memory properties through an injection gate to form a pipe member in the molding cavity, the pipe member comprises a clamping ring and a sealing film provided on one end of the clamping ring, the hydraulic mechanism drives a molding cutter to cut out a joint of the sealing film and the clamping ring in a plastic melt state, thereby a limit end is formed at one end of the clamping ring.
Method for producing carbon fiber reinforced resin molded article, and apparatus for producing carbon fiber reinforced resin molded article
A method for producing carbon fiber reinforced resin molded article of the present invention includes press-molding a mixture-made body including carbon fiber and thermoplastic resin to produce the article that is composed of CFRP. The method further includes perforating pores into the mixture-made body, before press-molding mentioned above. As, in perforating, at least the pores are formed so as to penetrate through a hardened part of a surface of the mixture-made body, the article made of the CFRP that does not have poor appearance, such as whitening or marble pattern, can be produced.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CLOSURE FOR A PRODUCT-RETAINING CONTAINER
A method for manufacturing a closure constructed to be inserted and securely retained in a neck of a product-retaining container includes intimately combining a plurality of coated particles (each comprising a cork material core and a first plastic material) with a second plastic material, and other optional constituents; heating the composition to form a melt; extruding or molding a closure precursor from the melt; and optionally cutting and/or finishing the closure precursor. A composition for use in manufacturing a closure includes a plurality of coated particles (each comprising a cork material core and a first plastic material) with a second plastic material, and one or more blowing agents. Methods for producing particulate material, cork composite material, and additional method for producing closures are also provided.
Rigid High-Gloss Wear-Resistant and Scratch-Resistant Flooring
The present disclosure provides a rigid high-gloss wear-resistant and scratch-resistant flooring. The flooring includes a surface layer, an intermediate Spc layer, and a decorative layer that are laminated; where the surface layer is prepared by combining a melamine glue and a color film; the intermediate Spc layer is prepared by mixing polyvinyl chloride resin, calcium carbonate, a plasticizer, and a stabilizer; and the decorative layer is prepared by a high-temperature material. The rigid high-gloss wear-resistant and scratch-resistant flooring is prepared by the melamine glue and the special color film, has an intermediate Spc layer, and has the decorative layer on a back side. The flooring is prepared by three different layers through a high temperature and a high pressure. The flooring has a surface that is highly wear-resistant, extremely scratch-resistant, cigarette burning-resistant, and non-deformable, and is suitable for use in various public places, with various styles, diverse specifications, and stability.
