Spa shell reinforcement systems and methods
A system and method for reinforcing a spa shell includes a structural support layer on an underside of the spa shell. The structural support layer may include an inner layer of rigidizer, a central foam layer, and an outer layer of rigidizer. The structural support layer may extend from a bottom side of the underside of the spa shell, across at least one sidewall of the underside of the spa shell to a lip of the spa shell, the structural support layer forming at least one rib along the sidewall of the underside of the spa shell.
CONSTRUCTION COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS FABRICATED USING EXTRUDED MATERIALS
Construction components and systems fabricated using extruded materials are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: a sheet fabricated from an extruded material; and a core structure internal to the sheet, the core structure including voids, the voids being triangular-shaped and arranged in an alternately inverted pattern.
METHOD FOR EXTRUDING A SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT MADE OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
A method for extruding a semi-finished product made of elastomeric material. An elastomeric material is fed to an inlet channel of a gear pump with an inlet pressure value and dispensed through an exit channel of the gear pump with an exit pressure value greater than the inlet pressure value. The method detects the exit pressure value and adjusts the operation of the gear pump to maintain a predetermined pressure difference between the exit pressure and the inlet pressure based on the detection of the exit pressure value.
Implantable layer with spacer fibers
A staple cartridge assembly for use with a surgical stapling instrument includes a staple cartridge including a plurality of staples and a cartridge deck. The staple cartridge assembly also includes a compressible adjunct positionable against the cartridge deck, wherein the staples are deployable into tissue captured against the compressible adjunct, and wherein the compressible adjunct comprises a first biocompatible layer comprising a first portion, a second biocompatible layer comprising a second portion, and crossed spacer fibers extending between the first portion and the second portion.
IMPLANTABLE ADJUNCT WITH DENSITY GRADIENTS
Implantable adjuncts for use with a surgical instrument are disclosed. The implantable adjunct includes a first mesh positioned about a first side of the longitudinal knife slot and a second mesh positioned about a second side of the longitudinal knife slot such that the first and second meshes define a gap substantially aligned with the longitudinal knife slot of the staple cartridge body.
Seal for a vacuum material lifter
A seal for a vacuum lifter and method of manufacture wherein the seal has a continuous unbroken outer fluid resistant skin of elastomer which forms a boundary around a homogeneous cellular structure with no interior seams or joints.
DIELECTRIC MATERIAL AND DIELECTRIC MATERIAL PRODUCTION METHOD
Provided is a dielectric material (1, 2, 3, 4) to solve the problems of low production efficiency and high production cost of the existing dielectric material. The dielectric material (1, 2, 3, 4) is a tube structure. The tube wall of the tube structure is formed from a foam material foamed. The dielectric material further includes metal wires (11, 21, 31, 41). The metal wires (11, 21, 31, 41) are disposed in the longitudinal direction of the tube structure, and are evenly distributed in the tube wall of the tube structure without being in contact with each other. The dielectric material (1, 2, 3, 4) with such a structure has the advantages of simple structure, accurate control of the dielectric constant, light weight per unit volume, easy and efficient production, and stable technical indicators. Further provided is a dielectric material production method.
PUSH-IN EARPLUG AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME USING A MANDREL
A push-in earplug is provided. The push-in earplug comprises an elongate core comprising a core material. The push-in earplug also comprises an outer layer comprising a foam material, the outer layer covering at least a portion of an outer surface of the elongate core. The push-in earplug also comprises a channel extending through the elongate core from a first end of the elongate core to the second end of the elongate core.
Fastenable member for sealing, baffling or reinforcing and method of forming same
There is disclosed a member for sealing, baffling and/or reinforcing components of an automotive vehicle. The assembly generally includes a carrier, an expandable material and at least one fastener.
FOAM FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE, COMPOSITION, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to an optical fiber cable having at least one optical fiber, a cable jacket and a foam layer. The cable jacket includes an inner surface and an outer surface in which the outer surface is an outermost surface of the optical fiber cable. The inner surface is disposed around the at least one optical fiber. The foam layer is disposed between the at least one optical fiber and the cable jacket. The foam layer is made of an extruded product of at least one thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), a chemical foaming agent, and a crosslinking agent. The foam layer has a closed-cell morphology having pores with an average effective circle diameter of less than 100 μm. Further, the foam layer has a compression modulus of less than 1 MPa when measured at 50% strain.
