The staple cartridge assembly also includes a compressible adjunct positionable against the cartridge deck, wherein the staples are deployable into tissue captured against the compressible adjunct, and wherein the compressible adjunct comprises a first biocompatible layer comprising a first portion, a second biocompatible layer comprising a second portion, and crossed spacer fibers extending between the first portion and the second portion.
SYNTHETIC FOAMED CONTAINER THAT DOES NOT WICK AND A METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A recyclable multilayer synthetic foam container that does not wick, for direct and non-direct food contact and aseptic packaging application is disclosed. In one aspect, a container comprises a pre-creased and/or folded multilayer synthetic foam sheet comprising at least one foam layer, that can be hermetically sealed along the edges, wherein the synthetic board sheet is a recyclable material that does not wick. In another aspect, the product has a bending stiffness value greater than 17 in Taber stiffness unit configuration according to TAPPI/ANSI T 489 om-15. In some embodiments, the product can have an oxygen transmission rate of less than 20 cc/m.sup.2/24 hr, according to ASTM D3985. In some embodiments, the product can have a water vapor transmission rate of less than 10 gr/m.sup.2/24 hr, according to ASTM E398-13.
ANNULAR NOZZLE
An annular nozzle contains a nozzle body, the nozzle body comprising at least one annular gap for the discharge of a film. The annular gap is laterally bounded by a stationary wall and a flexible lip. A plurality of threaded pins and a corresponding number of bolts are arranged in the nozzle body. Each of the threaded pins is rotatably mounted in a first bore in the nozzle body. Each of the bolts is slidably mounted in the nozzle body in a second bore in the nozzle body. The bolt is in contact with the flexible lip and the corresponding threaded pin so that a compressive force can be transferred from the threaded pin to the bolt and via the bolt to the flexible lip.
COMPRESSIBLE ADJUNCT WITH CROSSING SPACER FIBERS
A staple cartridge assembly for use with a surgical stapling instrument includes a staple cartridge including a plurality of staples and a cartridge deck.
Foam for optical fiber cable, composition, and method of manufacturing
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to an optical fiber cable having at least one optical fiber, a cable jacket and a foam layer. The cable jacket includes an inner surface and an outer surface in which the outer surface is an outermost surface of the optical fiber cable. The inner surface is disposed around the at least one optical fiber. The foam layer is disposed between the at least one optical fiber and the cable jacket. The foam layer is made of an extruded product of at least one thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), a chemical foaming agent, and a crosslinking agent. The foam layer has a closed-cell morphology having pores with an average effective circle diameter of less than 100 μm. Further, the foam layer has a compression modulus of less than 1 MPa when measured at 50% strain.
Method for preparing an adhesive polyolefin, adhesive polyolefin, use thereof, and manufactured article
The present invention refers to co-extrusion of one or more polyolefins with one or more adhesive layers to improve the adhesiveness of the polyolefins in metal, epoxy resin, glass, ceramics, paper, wood, thermoplastic resin, fabric, non-woven fabric, varnishes and formica. More specifically, the present invention refers to a method of co-extruding at least one polyolefin with an adhesive layer, thereby enhancing the adhesion properties of the polyolefin, particularly in polyurethane foams such that a polar surface is imparted to the obtained adhesived polyolefin.

Method for Forming a Multilayer PVC Sheet Material with a Foamed Carrier
The present invention relates to a method for forming a multilayer plastic sheet material for floor and/or wall panels, wherein a first polymer mass comprising a chemically foamed PVC is melted under pressure and is forced through an extruder head at a well-defined discharge rate as a plastic strand in sheet form that is provided with one or more layers so that a multilayer plastic strand is formed, which is propelled towards two or more rolls of a rolling mill, which processes the multilayer plastic strand to a sheet of a defined thickness and where one of the rolls will apply a three-dimensional structure in the top layer. This sheet will then be led away by a discharge device to a sawing device to be cut off to the desired length and width and finally, in a subsequent production step, as multilayer plank-shaped elements, will be provided with coupling parts on two opposite edges so that several of said plank-shaped elements are couplable together.
