STRANDS, NETTINGS, DIES, AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Netting comprising an array of polymeric strands, wherein the polymeric strands are periodically joined together at bond regions throughout the array, and wherein at least a plurality (i.e., at least two) of the polymeric strands have a core of a first polymeric material and a sheath of a second, different polymeric material. Nettings described herein have a variety of uses, including wound care, tapes, filtration, absorbent articles, pest control articles, geotextile applications, water/vapor management in clothing, reinforcement for nonwoven articles, self bulking articles, floor coverings, grip supports, athletic articles, and pattern coated adhesives.
FORMATION OF THREE DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS INCLUDING MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Implementations described herein are directed to forming objects including one or more layers of a polymeric material that include a magnetic material. The objects can be produced by forming one or more first layers that include a first polymeric material. The one or more first layers can be free of a magnetic material. Additionally, the object can be produced by forming one or more second layers that include a second polymeric material having a magnetic material. For example, the one or more second layers can include a polymeric material embedded with magnetic particles. The one or more first layers and the one or more second layers can be formed by extruding the first polymeric material and the second polymeric material onto a substrate according to a pattern. A magnetizing device can be used to magnetize the magnetic material included in the one or more second layers.
Systems and methods for producing cable
One embodiment relates to a method for producing cable. The method includes applying an insulative coating to each of a plurality of conductors to form a plurality of insulated conductors. The method further includes taking up the plurality of insulated conductors in a twisting system to twist the plurality of insulated conductors together and apply a first portion of a desired twist to the plurality of insulated conductors. The method further includes paying off the plurality of insulated conductors from the twisting system to further twist the plurality of insulated conductors together and apply a second portion of a desired twist to the plurality of insulated conductors to form a twisted plurality of insulated conductors.

Method to improve optical properties of stabilized polycarbonate compositions
Methods for producing transparent polycarbonate articles include melting a composition at a temperature of 300 to 390 C., extruding the melted composition to form a strand, cooling the strand of extruded composition, cutting the cooled strand into pellets, drying the pellets at a temperature of 50 to 140 C. and injecting molding or extruding the pellets at a temperature of 300 to 380 C. to form an article. The composition can comprise a moisture content of 0.1 to 5 wt. % and a crystalline additive having a melting point of at least 280 C., a heat of fusion greater than or equal to 1.0 Joule/gram (J/g). The composition can be cooled to at least 20 C. below the glass transition temperature of the polycarbonate.
Method for producing an extrusion molded product for automobiles
A method for producing an extrusion molded product for automobiles, comprising the following steps: A synthetic resin injected into a first extrusion molding machine (21) is extruded through a first mold die (20) as a core material (3); the core material (3) passes through a first cooling tank (25), and then is bent by bending rollers (22) into a desired curved shape with a radius of curvature R1; the core material (3) is extended linearly, and goes into a second mold die (23); a thermoplastic elastomer injected in a second extrusion molding machine (24) forms seal portions (2) and seal lip portions (6) on a periphery of the core material (3); thereby forming a curved portion with a radius of curvature R2 on the extrusion molded product (1).
COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITION
A composition containing polytetrafluoroethylene and zeolite supporting a metal, and a method for producing the composition. Also disclosed is a composition containing an organic solvent and zeolite supporting a metal, and a molded article made from the compositions.
Apparatus and method for extruding stripes onto an extruded product
An apparatus for extruding a jacket and/or insulative material onto an extruded product with one or more longitudinal stripes incorporated onto the surface of said extruded product comprising a body, a primary feed conduit for conveying a primary extrusion material, a striping die, a secondary feed conduit for conveying a secondary extrusion material, a striping die adapter, a striping feed conduit extending through the striping die adapter for conveying striping extrusion material. The striping die adapter may also include a thermocouple for maintaining the viscosity of the striping extrusion material and a thermocouple for monitoring the temperature of said striping die adapter. The striping die includes one or more striping extrusion outlets for conveying striping extrusion material onto the extruded product. The striping die may also include a wishbone-shaped trough for delivering equal amounts of striping extrusion material to said extrusion outlets for extrusion onto the product.

Methods for manufacture of extruded objects
In a method of manufacturing objects, extrudable ceramic forming material is extruded through multiple dies arrayed around an extrusion axis, the dies mounted to permit controlled movement of the dies during the course of extrusion to vary the position of several extrudate streams exiting the dies. Extruded objects are defined by spokes corresponding to the extrudate streams with the streams having a varying spacing from a central axis.
