Integrally, Extrusion Blow Molded Container, Label and RFID Tag
An improved method for molding a plastic container within a mold including an RFID tag to generate a container which leaves a mold having an RFID tag bonded between the container and a label. This method provides for an improved integrally, extrusion blow molded container, label and RFID tag combination.
Reciprocating Ram-Based Methods for Forming Thermoplastic Articles Having Smooth Edges
The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling. The deflection can include curling the spacer at or near the peripheral edge. The methods can be performed incrementally and/or in a reciprocating fashion.
Die, manufacturing method therefor, and molded body manufacturing method
A mold which can improve an appearance of a molded body is provided. A mold includes a cavity, the mold being capable of subjecting a resin sheet under reduced pressure suction via a plurality of reduced pressure suction holes thereby shaping the resin sheet to follow a shape of an inner surface of the cavity; wherein: the inner surface includes a base surface and a plurality of island-like concave portions provided in the base surface; and a concave portion reduced pressure suction hole index defined by an in-concave reduced pressure suction hole ratio divided by a concave portion area ratio is 0.5 or lower.
Air pressure control for corrugator
In the manufacture of double-walled corrugated extruded pipe it is desirable to form an integral connecting cuff that is of a single wall thickness and typically of a large diameter. The mold blocks and process parameters for forming of the cuff as part of an otherwise double-walled pipe requires a transition as the cuff moves past the die outlets. The present invention allows for accurate sensing and control of air pressure and temperature as the cuff moves past the die outlets. Improvements in both the die tooling and the method of manufacture are disclosed.
Method for evaluating at least one industrial process
The invention relates to a method (100) for evaluating at least one industrial process for the film production of a film and/or for the further processing using the film, comprising at least one production device (20) which is operated for the production of the film, and at least one further processing device (30) which is operated for further processing using the film.
Method for producing a densified material from a complex film, production installation and use
A method for producing a densified material includes: obtaining a film including at least one first layer of plastic material and one second layer with a composition distinct from the first layer, the first layer having a first melting temperature, or obtaining pieces of such a film; compressing the obtained film or the obtained pieces of film through at least one die of at least one extruder, and obtaining a profile of densified material, the extruder including at least one rotary endless screw pushing the obtained film or pieces of film along a screw axis; and optionally cutting the profile in order to obtain granules of densified material, the compression step being carried out at a maximum compression temperature for the obtained film or pieces of film, the maximum compression temperature being less than the first melting temperature. Also disclosed are installation and use of the densified material.
Laminate, molded article in which laminate is used, and method for manufacturing same
A method of manufacturing a molded article, which comprises: (a) a step of manufacturing the molded article by use of a laminate that has a first layer comprising polypropylene, and a second layer comprising one or more selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyamide, an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
Composite useful for molded articles
A wearable container containing a composite which has an alternating pattern containing groupings of woven fabric and groupings of biaxially oriented thermoplastic films. The composite has a thickness of less than about 5 mm. Each grouping of woven fabric contains at least one woven fabric layer, each woven fabric layer containing tape elements having a base layer of a strain oriented olefin polymer disposed between covering layers of a heat fusible olefin polymer. Each grouping of biaxially oriented thermoplastic films contain at least one biaxially oriented thermoplastic film which has a core layer of thermoplastic disposed between covering layers of a thermoplastic able to bond to polypropylene.
Plastic container produced in an extrusion blow molding method, in particular plastic bottle
An extrusion blow-molded plastic container, for example, a plastic bottle, is described which has a container body having a longitudinal axis, a longitudinal end sealed by a container bottom, another longitudinal end adjoining a container neck provided with a pour opening, and a container shoulder. The container body has at least one deformable section which is made flat and which extends over a large part of an axial length of the container body and in the peripheral direction. The deformable section which has been made flat has two longitudinal sides which run essentially in the axial direction and which border regions of the container body which have a greater stiffness than the deformable section.
