A process of producing a composite motor vehicle component, the process comprising the steps of: heating a surface treated steel part (1) to an austenite temperature so as to form austenite in said steel part; forming the steel part to a desired shape, cooling the steel part to a temperature below 500 C., applying a patch (2) of a prepreg fibre reinforced polymer to at least a part of said steel part, pressing the applied patch (2) of fibre reinforced polymer into adhesion to steel part (1), and at least partly curing said patch inside said pressing tool.

A method for manufacturing a waterproof felt duct may include (a) laminating a waterproof film on one side of a first nonwoven fabric and laminating a second nonwoven fabric on the waterproof film laminated on the first nonwoven fabric to form a laminated body; (b) forming a waterproof felt base material by thermally adhering the laminated body; (c) cutting the waterproof felt base material into a desired shape; (d) molding a duct while surrounding the waterproof felt base material cut into the desired shape around the external surface of a molding jig having a worm gear shape; (e) heat-treating the molded duct; (f) cooling the heat-treated duct; and (g) ejecting the cooled duct from the molding jig.
Medical support for delivery of a treatment to the nose
The present invention provides a wearable medical support for delivery of a treatment to the nose of a subject comprising: a nose mask formed from a heat moldable sheet of thermoplastic material, said nose mask comprises an aperture dimensioned to fit the nose of the subject, said aperture is flanked by two flaps whereby each flap is configured to be in contact with at least part of a lateral side of the nose; and a device configured to close fit said aperture, said device is provided at one end with an opening for receiving the nose and at the other end with at least one coupling suitable to be connected to one or more tubes for delivery of the treatment to the nose. The present invention further provides a sheet of heat moldable thermoplastic material for molding a mask directly on a subject's nose.

Disclosed is a method for producing an automobile sound absorbing member through molding. In the method, a first fiber and a second fiber are bonded to each other and molded at the same time, so that a working process and a process cycle are simplified, thereby improving production speed and reducing investment for equipment and facility. The method includes (a) preparing a first fiber and a second fiber, (b) providing an adhesive member between the first fiber and the second fiber and placing an aggregate of the first fiber, adhesive member, and the second fiber in a molding machine, and (c) pressing an upper mold and a lower mold of the molding machine so that the first fiber and the second fiber are bonded and molded into a molded body.

A process for manufacturing an undergarment having two superimposed textiles, comprising depositing on certain parts of reinforcements (8) comprising a thick layer of a shaped memory foam elastic material, the polymerization of this material and also the shaping of the textiles of the undergarment by thermoforming, characterized in that it comprises a step of depositing, on the entire surface of at least the textiles, a thin layer of an elastic adhesive-bonding material, and then a step of polymerizing this thin layer of adhesive bonding during the thermoforming for shaping, and in that it comprises a step of prior depositing, on the textile receiving the layer of reinforcement (8), of a barrier layer of an elastic material, which is polymerized before the depositing of this reinforcement.

An apparatus and method for stamping a thermoplastic matrix composite blank, in view of heating and stamping the blank. The apparatus includes a machined blank and a frame. A plurality of cleats are fixed on the frame, extend towards the interior of the frame. The cleats delimit an internal opening surface of the frame, free from any obstacle. A locator is linked with a cleat and configured to cooperate with a hole machined in the blank. A heat sink is located near the locator and configured to maintain locally the blank temperature under the melting temperature of the polymer constituting the matrix, during the heating and transfer of the blank.
