Catheter with formed guide wire ramp

A rapid exchange catheter comprises a guide wire lumen including a substantially sealed portion in which a lumen wall extends around an entire periphery thereof and a channel portion including a channel opening the lumen to an exterior of the catheter, wherein a width of the channel is less than a maximum width of the channel portion. A guide wire ramp extends into the channel portion, with the ramp extending further into the lumen of the channel portion as a distal end of the ramp is approached.

Reentry catheter and method thereof

Embodiments of the invention are directed towards a rapid exchange catheter configured for insertion into a subintimal space and crossing an occlusion in a subintimal space. The catheter includes a proximal end, a distal end, a first lumen configured to receive a first wire, the first lumen extending longitudinally through a least a lateral port of the catheter, and a second lumen having at least a portion distal of the lateral port and extending through at least the distal end of the catheter. The catheter also includes an exchange port arranged on a exterior portion of the catheter configured to the receive a second wire and second rapid exchange port in communication with the second lumen. Moreover, other embodiments of the invention are directed towards methods for using the rapid exchange catheter to cross an obstruction in a vessel, e.g., a total or partial occlusion, in a subintimal space.

ROBOTIC EMBOLISATION DEVICE AND SYSTEM

The invention has been particularly developed for a controlled embolisation application in arterial and venous embolisation, and relates to a device used for halting the progression of aneurysm and reflux closing/aneurysms, blocking/arteries closing/arteriovenous malformations/-venous reflux procedures.

INSERTION GUIDE
20170258489 · 2017-09-14 ·

A device for insertion of a flexible needle or other such instrument into a tissue, incorporating a collapsible support guide which supports that part of the needle which has not yet penetrated the tissue, preventing it from buckling, and an arrangement which pulls the needle from its proximal end to provide sufficient force for the penetration process. The collapsible support guide can be a pair of flexible strips connected along their length and enclosing the needle along its uninserted length in order to support it, with a mechanism at the distal end of the device to peel the strips from the needle as it is inserted. Insertion can be achieved by a pair of rollers engaging and advancing the strips distally. Alternatively, a telescopic support tube can be used to support the needle, the tube collapsing telescopically as the needle is inserted, to maintain clearance above the needle.

Apparatus and methods for treating obstructions within body lumens

Apparatus and methods are provided for delivering fluid into a body lumen during a medical procedure. A distal end of an apparatus may be introduced into a body lumen, and a valve on the distal end may be opened to deliver fluid through a first lumen into the body lumen, e.g., contrast and/or other diagnostic or therapeutic agents. The valve may be closed, and a procedure may be performed within the body lumen, e.g., using a treatment element carried on the distal end. For example, the treatment element may include a balloon that may be inflated when fluid is delivered through the first lumen with the valve closed. Optionally, a prosthesis, energy source, drug platform, and the like may be carried by the balloon for treating the body lumen. In various embodiments, the valve may be located proximal or distal to the treatment element.

Arterial cannula which allows perfusion along opposing directions within a cannulated vessel

A cannula includes at least one opening at a distal tip, and further includes multiple fenestrations that are maintainable in position substantially immediately or slightly beyond a site or point of cannula entry into a vessel. The fenestrations, in combination with the opening(s) at the cannula's distal tip, enable the simultaneous perfusion of blood into the cannulated vessel along multiple directions, including opposing or anti-parallel blood flow directions relative to a central axis of the cannulated vessel. During a medical procedure (e.g., an extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) procedure) blood introduced into a vessel such as the femoral artery by way of the cannula can thus exit the cannula in a manner that provides concurrent blood flow in a first direction towards the heart and a second direction away from the heart.
