MEDICAL DEVICE WITH PRINTED BATTERY
A medical device such as a catheter includes a shaft that extends from a proximal region to a distal region and that defines a shaft lumen extending therethrough. A hub is secured relative to the proximal region. A strain relief extends proximally over the shaft from the hub. At least one of the hub and the strain relief include a printed battery.
TRAY FOR TEMPORARY STORAGE OF CATHETERS AND OTHER COILED SURGICAL DEVICES
A storage tray provides storage for multiple types of wires, catheters, and other instruments used during surgical procedures. The storage tray includes a base and a set of walls forming a basin that holds liquid. A wire containment section within the basin holds multiple coiled guidewires in a channel filled with the liquid. The wire containment section includes an inner wall and one or more wall segments forming an outer boundary of the channel. A wire holder outside the channel holds end portions of the guidewires. Pulling an end portion of one of the coiled guidewires horizontally causes the guidewire to slide along the inner wall for separation and removal from the storage tray.
Wrap systems for medical device kits
Medical device kits for use in placing, maintaining, altering, and/or removing medical devices in, on, and/or from the body of a patient are disclosed. Such medical device kits can include one or more wrap assemblies for use in the placement/maintenance procedure. In accordance with present embodiments, the one or more wrap assemblies of the medical device kit can include various features to assist the clinician performing the particular procedure. In one embodiment, a medical wrap assembly is disclosed, comprising a foldable wrap body that includes a front surface, wherein the front surface is configured to define a sterile field. A plurality of pockets is included on the front surface of the wrap body. The pockets are configured to contain therein a plurality of medical components. The medical components are arranged in the pockets in a predetermined order of use for the medical procedure.
URINARY CATHETER ASSEMBLY HAVING A URINARY CATHETER SEALED INSIDE OF A CLOSED PACKAGE
A urinary catheter assembly includes a urinary catheter sealed inside of a closed package. The urinary catheter has a first closure sealing a proximal opening and including a first extension portion that is coupled to the closed package, and a second closure sealing a distal opening and including a second extension portion coupled to the closed package.
CATHETER DEVICE AND CATHETER PACKAGE
Provided are a catheter device and a catheter package which are capable of preventing a bend from being formed in a catheter body.
The catheter body includes a wire state discrimination portion which discriminates a protruding state and a non-protruding state, in which the wire state discrimination portion includes a stopper which allows a transition from the protruding state to the non-protruding state, and blocks a transition from the non-protruding state to the protruding state.

PACKAGING BODY
A packaging body includes first and second sheet members superimposed on each other, and a sticking region formed on an outer periphery of the first and second sheet members. The sticking region has an opening portion in at least one part of the sticking region. The opening portion has an angled, convex shape and includes (i) a non-sticking portion in which the first and second sheet members are not stuck together and (ii) a plurality of first sticking portions that sandwich the non-sticking portion and in which the first and second sheet members are stuck together.
APPARATUSES FOR CLEANING CATHETER PORTS
Methods and apparatus for cleaning a central venous catheter port are disclosed. An apparatus includes a body, a coupling configured to connect the body to the hub, a cleaning cap coupled to the body, and an actuator disposed within the body for rotating and translating the cap relative to the hub. The cleaning cap includes a cap body defining a cavity and a cleaning member disposed within the cavity, the cleaning member having threads that engage with the threads on the hub.
HYDRATION SOLUTIONS CONTAINING VOLATILE SOLUTIONS AND MEDICAL DEVICE PRODUCTS INCLUDING THE SAME
Hydration solutions including a liquid and a volatile solute, assemblies containing hydration solutions and methods of making the same.
Catheter Tray, Packaging System, Instruction Insert, and Associated Methods
A tray (100) for accommodating a coiled medical device, such as a catheter assembly (700), includes a first compartment (101), a second compartment (102), and a third compartment (103). The catheter assembly (700) and devices associated with a catheterization procedure, such as syringes (701,702) containing sterile water and lubricating jelly and a specimen container (703) can be disposed within the tray. Printed instructions (1001) can be included with the tray (100). One or more layers of wrap material (2200) can be folded about the tray (100) to enclose the tray (100) and other items, such as an additional layer of wrap material (2701), packaged liquid hand sanitizer (2401), and packaged gloves (2402). When a health care services provider (3101) unfolds the wrap material, the same can be used to create a sterile field beneath a patient (3201).
