Method and arrangement for portion-packing of an oral pouched snuff product
The present invention relates to a method for portion-packing of an oral pouched snuff product (1′, 1″). The method comprises a) supplying and advancing a tubular web (19, 19′, 19″) of packaging material enveloping a continuous feed (23, 23′, 23a″, 23b″) of filling material in a direction of travel (L), b) forming transverse seals (39) in the tubular web across the continuous feed of filling material by means of ultrasonic welding, the transverse seals extending in a transverse direction (T) being perpendicular to the direction of travel. The present invention further relates to an arrangement (17, 17′, 17″) for portion-packing of an oral pouched snuff product.
Labelling apparatus and method
This invention relates to application of labels from a supply of labels which are defined in sheet material and in which adjacent labels are joined together by a line of weakening to form a continuous label supply. The label sheet material is provided with a layer of adhesive which contacts with a backing layer to form the label supply. The leading label is provided with a leading edge portion detached from the backing layer from application at an application point to an article and the article and label feed movement are controlled such that the remainder of the label can be detached from the backing layer, and the line of weakening broken effectively and accurately and without the need for the sheet material of the label supply and/or backing layer to have a thickness to provide the level of rigidity or stiffness of the material which is conventionally required, thereby reducing material usage and wastage.
Tube Sealer
A device for sealing sample tubes comprises a tool assembly configured to interface with a rack holding a plurality of sample storage tubes, the tool assembly holding a plurality of punches and a die plate including a plurality of cutting holes, with each of the plurality of cutting holes accepting one of the plurality of punches. The tool assembly receives a foil sheet between the punches and the die plate. The device includes an actuator enabling linear movement of the tool assembly. Linear movement of the tool assembly towards the rack engages the die plate against the rack and punches the punches through the cutting holes of the die plate to punch a plurality of sealing sections from the foil sheet and to press and seal each of the sealing sections against a top end of each of the plurality of sample storage tubes in the rack.
Method and apparatus for producing a breathable web and relative web
A method for producing a breathable web, comprising: feeding a web on the surface of an anvil roller rotatable about its axis and having a plurality of welding protrusions cooperating with a welding element, welding said web at a plurality of welding spots on head surfaces of said welding protrusions and forming respective annular welding seams at said welding spots, about respective welding projections, and respective thin membranes located within said annular welding seams and adjacent to the head surfaces of said welding protrusions, and removing said thin membranes after said welding by means of a peeling roller having an outer surface tangent to said head surfaces of said welding protrusions.
Tube sealer
A device for sealing sample tubes comprises a tool assembly configured to interface with a rack (10) holding a plurality of sample storage tubes (20), the tool assembly holding a plurality of punches (322) and a die plate (324) including a plurality of cutting holes, with each of the plurality of cutting holes accepting one of the plurality of punches (322). The tool assembly receives a foil sheet (131) between the punches (322) and the die plate (324). The device includes an actuator enabling linear movement of the tool assembly. Linear movement of the tool assembly towards the rack (10) engages the die plate (324) against the rack (10) and punches the punches (322) through the cutting holes of the die plate (324) to punch a plurality of sealing sections from the foil sheet (131) and to press and seal each of the sealing sections against a top end of each of the plurality of sample storage tubes (20) in the rack (10).
System and method for spin welding fittings to maple sap lines
A maple sap line system and method for spin welding provides secure, unobstructed lines for collecting sap by creating a hermetically sealed connection between a lateral line and a mainline. A fitting connects the mainline to the lateral line. The fitting is spin welded to the mainline at a contact interface. The fitting comprises a protruding member that easily melts to create the frictional weld. The fitting has an elongated body comprising barbs that receive the lateral line. The fitting has a channel that enables fluid communication between the mainline and the lateral line. The flanges in the fitting register with a chuck to rotate the fitting against the main line at a high rpm. Molten debris formed in the channel is dislodged by drilling with a collared drill. The drilling provides fluid communication and creates a smooth inner surface in the mainline, and cuts off flanges from the fitting.
SEALING TOOL ASSEMBLY
A sealing tool module (100) is provided. The sealing tool module (100) comprises a housing; a heat-sealing plate (120); and a first actuator for use in moving said heat-sealing plate between a retracted position and a heat-sealing position, the first actuator being movably mounted with respect to the housing; wherein the first actuator is a first shaft on the end of which the heat-sealing plate (120) is mounted, the first shaft being axially movable relative to the housing; and the first shaft comprises a channel configured to guide wiring through the housing and to the rear of the heat-sealing plate (120). A sealing tool assembly (1) for heat sealing a cover film to a container is also provided. The assembly comprises a sealing module support (10) having a plurality of openings therethrough and a plurality of sealing modules each disposed in a respective one of the plurality of openings and configured to independently perform heat sealing, wherein each of the plurality of sealing modules is removable from the sealing module support independently of the other sealing modules.
Automated balloon assembly machine
An assembly for manufacturing a balloon envelope includes a table component and a sealing component. The table component may include a first platform, a second platform, a third platform, and a lateral opening between the first and second platforms. The first and second platforms can receive a first sheet of material that forms a first gore of the balloon envelope and a second sheet of material that forms a second gore of the balloon envelope. At least a portion of the first platform may move relative to the third platform so as to allow for the tendon and the portion of the second sheet attached to the tendon to move toward the third platform. The sealing component may be configured to bond the first sheet to the second sheet in order to join the first and the second gores of the balloon envelope.
FLEXIBLE CONTAINER WITH FITMENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
A flexible container is provided. The flexible container includes four panels. The four panels form (i) a body portion; (ii) a neck portion, and a flare portion that extends from the neck portion; (iii) a tapered transition portion between the body portion and the neck portion; and (iv) the neck portion has a reduced width. The flare portion has an expanded end. The width of the flare portion gradually increases from the neck portion to the expanded end.
