Dermal adhesive patch
A dermal adhesive patch is provided. The dermal adhesive patch is adhered to skin through an ampoule containing a mixing ingredient, a drying ingredient, a viscosity control ingredient, and a moisturizing ingredient. The dermal adhesive patch includes: a support body; and a membrane layer formed as a nanofiber web having pores to block moisture and to allow air to pass through the membrane layer, and detachably laminated on one surface of the support body.
DEVICES FOR TOPICAL DELIVERY OF ACTIVE AGENTS TO A TARGET SITE
Provided are devices, i.e. medical devices, for topical delivery of various active agents to a target site. More specifically, provided are devices for controlled release of an active agent to a skin portion upon contact with an aqueous fluid, such as perspiration, exudate or external applied water-based fluids.
Therapeutic sock
Disclosed embodiments may include a therapeutic sock for aiding in the treatment of toe and foot ailments. The therapeutic sock may include a sock body, which may be a stocking made from nylon or a similar elastic material, with an upper section and a lower section. The lower section may include a toe end and an absorbent pad. The absorbent pad may be gauze and may contain medicine. The absorbent pad may be attached to the sock body by sewing. The upper section may include a restricting band at the leg end. The restricting band may be made of nylon or elastic and be attached to the sock body by sewing.
Disposable Medicinal Wristlet
A disposable medicinal wristlet includes an elastomeric material formed as a band. A medication within the elastomeric material is operable to be administered in a transdermal manner.
IMPROVED SKIN SUBSTITUTE ADHERENCE, STRETCHABILITY, AND COMPLIANCE FOR SKIN SUBSTITUTES
An improved dressing is presented which enables quicker wound closure and a lower anesthesia requirement, comprised of an improved prior-art skin-substitute. The improvements consist of variations in the thickness of the woven portion of the dressing, to increase wound adherence.
Methods and systems for precision application of agents to a target surface
Method for targeted application of active agents to a target surface including: creating a digital geometric representation of the target surface; providing an array of applicators; selecting an applicator from the array of applicators based on the target surface; disposing the active agent on the applicator surface of the applicator; disposing the applicator on the target surface so that the active agent is in contact with the target surface; and removing the applicator from the target surface while leaving at least some of the active agent in contact with the target surface.
Wearable System for Evaluating Joint Performance and Function
One embodiment of a disclosed wearable plyowrap with a plurality of fluid embedded into the structure of the plyowrap to support a joint of the user. A brace feedback system receives sensor data describing the movement of the joint. The sensor data is collected by an array of tension sensors embedded into the plyowrap. The collected sensor data is input to a machine-learning model to generate a prediction of the performance of the joint and determine whether the joint is at risk of a biomechanical compromise based on the predicted performance of the joint. The brace feedback system generates instructions for adjusting structural properties of the plyowrap to improve performance of the joint by activating electroactive gels in fluid chambers of the plyowrap to adjust the pliability of the plyowrap. The brace feedback system transmits the instructions to a local controller coupled to the plyowrap.
Method of defining a treatment area of an applicator for registration with a condition to be treated
Method of defining at least one treatment area including receiving a first set of data from a digital geometric representation of a target area; receiving a second set of data representing at least a portion of an applicator designed to contact the target area; digitally overlying the second set of data over the first set of data to generate a first digital overlay; digitally defining a treatment area on the first digital overlay surrounding the condition; generating a third set of data representing a portion of the applicator and the treatment area; digitally overlying the third set of data over the first set of data to generate a second digital overlay representing coverage of a condition by the treatment area; and generating a first electronic image that includes a visual depiction of the second digital overlay.
TAMPER EVIDENT TRANSDERMAL PATCH
Transdermal patch having at least one pharmaceutically active ingredient and a tamper-evidencing element, as well as methods of making and using the same.
THERAPEUTIC WEARABLE ARTICLES
A wearable article, comprising a treatment delivery system, the system having a pliable assembly of layers, including an absorbent layer or other receptacle layer having a surface for absorbing or containing a treatment agent and intended to orient against a wearer's skin (dermal embodiment) or outside of the article oriented towards the wearer's olfactory system (aromatherapy embodiment); a base layer for the wearable article; a barrier or other backing layer for selectively blocking the passage of the treatment agent, while preferably allowing skin moisture to pass through the backing layer disposed between the receptacle layer and the backing layer.
