In some embodiments, the methods include providing a dual cure resin with a photoinitiator, monomers and/or prepolymers that are polymerizable by exposure to actinic radiation or light, at least one cyclic ester, a ring-opening polymerization initiator, and a ring-opening polymerization catalyst. Resins useful for carrying out such methods, and products produced from such methods, are also described.

PHOTOHARDENABLE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF FORMING AN OBJECT

The present invention relates to photohardenable compositions and methods of forming an object, the method preferably including a photohardenable composition described herein. Preferred photohardenable compositions and methods include a photohardenable resin component, a first photoinitiator that is activatable by exposure to light at a first wavelength and light at a second wavelength, and a second photoinitiator that is activatable by exposure to light at a third wavelength, wherein the first, second, and third wavelengths are not the same, and the third wavelength is shorter than the first wavelength and the second wavelength. Preferred first photoinitators include photoswitchable photoinitiators. Preferably the second light-activated photoinitiator comprises a free-radical photoinitiator. Hardenable resin compositions and methods of forming an object including the hardenable resin composition are also disclosed.

System and method for fluid cavitation processing a part

Disclosed herein is a system for surface treating an internal surface of a part. The system comprises a tank within which the part is locatable. The system also comprises a fluid within the tank and capable of submersing the part when the part is located within the tank. The system further comprises a nozzle submersed in the fluid and configured to generate a stream of cavitated fluid directed in a first direction. The system additionally comprises a deflection tool submersed in the fluid and comprising a deflection surface that redirects the stream of cavitated fluid from the first direction to a second direction. The first direction is away from the internal surface of the part and the second direction is toward the internal surface of the part.

PHOTOSENSITIVE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR FORMING CELL CULTURE SUBSTRATE
20170137767 · 2017-05-18 ·

A photosensitive resin composition for cell culture substrates that enables the low-cost manufacture of a cell culture substrate, that can easily form patterns of various shapes when providing a pattern on the surface of a cell culture substrate, has low cytotoxicity, and that can form a cell culture substrate; a cell culture substrate that is formed using the photosensitive resin composition; and a cell culture substrate manufacturing method that uses the photosensitive resin composition. The photosensitive resin composition includes a photopolymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator. The photopolymerizable monomer contains a defined amount of a polyfunctional monomer that is at least trifunctional, and the content of the photopolymerization initiator is within a prescribed range.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOVING SUPPORT STRUCTURE FROM THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED OBJECTS USING MICROWAVE ENERGY

A method of manufacturing a three-dimensional object facilitates the removal of support material from the object. The method includes moving the object to a position opposite a microwave radiator and operating the microwave radiator to change the phase of the support material from solid to liquid. A controller either monitors the expiration of a predetermined time period or a temperature of the object to determine when the microwave radiator operation is terminated. The microwave radiation does not damage the object because the support material has a dielectric loss factor that is greater than the dielectric loss factor of the object.

GOLF BALL MANUFACTURING METHOD

The invention provides a method of manufacturing a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or more layer over the core, wherein an outermost layer of the cover is molded of a thermoplastic material selected from the group consisting of polyurethane, polyurea and mixtures thereof. The method includes at least the following steps (1) and (2): (1) treating a surface of the cover with an isocyanate compound; and (2) washing off and physically removing excess isocyanate compound by blasting the cover surface with a specific substance at high pressure.

CLEANING DEVICE

It is provided an extrusion device for a plastic profile, in particular a hollow chamber profile, with an extruder, an extrusion nozzle arranged at the exit of the extruder for forming the plastic profile the plastic profile subsequently being guided through a calibration device, a downstream removal device for the plastic profile, a cutting device for cutting off parts of the extruded plastic profile and a weighing device for measuring the profile weight. A profile monitoring device is provided for detecting at least one profile parameter of the plastic profile in the extrusion direction after it has emerged from the extrusion nozzle and/or a process monitoring device is provided for detecting at least one process parameter in and/or before of the extruder, the extrusion nozzle, the calibration device, the removal device and/or the cutting device.
