ADAPTER FOR A DRUG MIXING AND INJECTION SYSTEM
The invention provides a drug mixing and injection system, in particular an adapter for said system enabling the preparation of drug formulations. In a first aspect, the invention relates to an adapter for a drug mixing and injection system comprising a first subunit (110) adapted to hold a vial (113) and a reservoir (115) with injectable liquid, a second subunit (120) comprising a valve (115) and an outlet port (122), at least one internal adapter channel (131), a first cannula (134) between the vial (113) and the internal adapter channel (131), wherein the adapter (100) has a resting position and an activated position. In another aspect, the invention relates to a drug mixing and injection system (200) comprising the adapter of the first aspect of the invention, a vial and a reservoir with injectable liquid. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a method of preparing an injectable drug formulation by use of the drug mixing and injection system (200) of the above mentioned aspect of the invention comprising activation of the system and transferring an injectable liquid from the reservoir to the vial, mixing the drug and transfer the resulting injectable drug formulation back to the reservoir, bringing the valve to a second position and transferring the injectable drug formulation to the outlet port.
FOOD REFLUX REDUCING TWO-PIECE NASOGASTRIC TUBE
A food reflux reducing two-piece nasogastric tube includes a first tube body and a second tube body. The first tube body has a first connector on one end, and a protrusion edge on an outer side of the first connector in adjacent to the first positioning portion. The first connector has a through hole having a seal portion in adjacent to the first positioning portion. The seal portion has a cross break. A convex portion is on an inner edge of the through hole between the seal portion and the first positioning portion. The second tube body has one end provided with a second connector and an insertion combination tube extending therefrom. Two elastic arms extend from an outer side of the second connector and comprise a hook portion respectively. Thus, the second tube body is efficiently connected with and removed from the first tube body.
Method of Repositioning a Catheter Distal Tip and Related Systems
A catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end of the catheter adapter. The catheter assembly may also include a catheter extending from the distal end of the catheter adapter. The distal tip of the catheter may include a magnetic material. A method of repositioning the distal tip of the catheter may include inserting the distal tip of the catheter into a blood vessel. The method may include attaching another magnetic material to skin, and the distal tip of the catheter may move toward the other magnetic material. At least one of the magnetic material and the other magnetic material may include a magnet. A kit may include the catheter assembly and/or the other magnetic material.

Spinning female luer with threadably removable feature
An adapter for connection with a fluid container includes an outer housing having a distal end, a proximal end, and a substantially cylindrical sidewall extending between the distal end and the proximal end, an inner member including a body rotatably inserted within the outer housing, a connector extending from the body configured to connect the adapter to a fluid container, and at least one grasping member extending from the inner member, the grasping member being configured for grasping by a user of the adapter, a first locking arrangement engageable with a distal end of the inner member and configured to restrict the inner member from rotating relative to the outer housing in a first direction, and a second locking arrangement engageable with a proximal end of the inner member and configured to restrict the inner member from moving in a proximal direction relative to the outer housing.
Device for temporary local application of fluids
One embodiment is a medical device with a flexibly deformable external hose. The external hose includes multiple openings, at least one of them arranged in a first end of the external hose. It includes a flexible internal hose, which is arranged on the inside of the external hose. The internal hose, in an expanded state, has an external diameter that is at least equal to the internal diameter of the external hose, closing the openings of the external hose. The external diameter of the internal hose can be transitioned from the expanded state into a radially contracted state, exposing the openings. A connection firmly connects the external hose and the internal hose on the first end of the external hose, and closes them in fluid-tight manner. A connector supplies the fluid into the intervening space between the external and the internal hose.

Universal cap for male and female connectors
A cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, and an integrally formed protrusion. The protrusion includes an inner thread on an inner surface, the inner thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a female needleless connector. The inner surface of the protrusion defines a second cavity. The outer surface of the sidewall of the protrusion is tapered and adapted to engage a male luer connector in a press-fit connection. The second cavity configured to define a chamber to contain an absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent. The cap may also include a peel seal to prevent the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the second cavity. An exterior sidewall surface of the housing may include a plurality of grip members.
