Portable compressor for a tire repair kit
A portable compressor for a tire repair kit comprises an adaptor mobile or removable from a force transmitting use position, the adaptor having an upper edge projecting with respect to an outer side wall of the compressor and defining a seat for a container of sealing fluid, the upper edge being spaced in use from a surface on which the compressor rests; and being configured to define a side support by means of a force transmission to the compressor to oppose an excessive inclination of the container of sealing fluid during the injection of sealing fluid by means of pressurized air.
METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING A TREAD FOR AGRICULTURAL TIRE USING A DINITRILE OXIDE CURE SYSTEM
A method of manufacturing a tread for agricultural tires, the method comprising providing an agricultural tire casing, providing a cured rubber component having first and second planar surfaces, providing a plurality of cushion gums, wherein the plurality of cushion gums contains a cure system comprising a stable dinitrile oxide compound, providing a plurality of lugs, and forming an agricultural tread composite by mating the lugs to a planar surface of the cured rubber component using the cushion gum.
METHOD OF LASER CLEANING A TIRE INNER SURFACE, AND A TIRE
The present invention is directed to a method of cleaning an innermost surface of a pneumatic tire, the surface having a residue deposited thereon, comprising the steps of: activating a laser to generate laser radiation; directing a pulse of laser radiation to impinge on an area of the innermost surface, the pulse of radiation having a pulse width and a fluence sufficient to remove at least part of the residue in the area to form a cleaned area; repeating the step of directing the pulse of radiation sequentially over the innermost surface to form a sequence of cleaned areas, the sequence of cleaned areas defining a stripe, the stripe following a continuous nonlinear path extending at least one circumference about the inner surface, the stripe having a stripe width W2. The invention is further directed to a tire made by the method.
Pneumatic Tire and Method for Manufacturing Same
Provided are a pneumatic tire where a band-shaped surface fastener extending in a tire circumferential direction is mounted on a tire inner surface, a cut portion composed of a group of a plurality of notches extending in a width direction of this surface fastener without traversing this surface fastener is formed in this surface fastener repetitively along the tire circumferential direction, the surface fastener is divided into a plurality of components by these notches, and the surface fastener is disposed on the tire inner surface in a state where the cut portion is stretched so the components are continuous in the tire circumferential direction.
Tire with reinforced tread
A tire includes a circumferential tread constructed of a base material. The circumferential tread has a plurality of bars, each of the plurality of bars having a top surface and a plurality of side surfaces. The circumferential tread further has a plurality of valleys disposed between the plurality of bars. A reinforcement layer covers at least some of the plurality of valleys and an outer layer covers at least a portion of the reinforcement layer.
Tire with non-spliced multilayered film innerliner
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire having a non-spliced film innerliner comprised of a plurality of film layers where said film layers are of varied film moduli physical properties.
AIR BARRIER FILM TUBING TO REPLACE INNER-LINER (BUTYL)
In one aspect, the invention is directed to a method of providing an air barrier layer to a tire comprising at least the following steps: providing a tire comprising a tire cavity and an inner surface facing the tire cavity, providing a tubular film with at least one open end, and molding at least a portion of the tubular film to form an air barrier layer adapted to the inner surface of the tire. In another aspect, a cured tire is provided which comprises a tire cavity and an inner surface facing the tire cavity, and a tubular film of molten polymer is extruded. Said film is inserted into the tire cavity of the cured tire and expanded in the tire cavity to form an air barrier layer adapted to an inner surface of the tire.
Methods of Making a Film of Dynamically Vulcanized Thermoplastic Elastomeric Materials
Methods and systems for making a film made of dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomeric material are provided herein. The subject methods and systems achieve dimensional stability of an elastic film by applying thermal treatment as part of the film making process and enhance the shrinkage of the film by intentionally with stretching the film while hot and freezing the film in the stretch. The systems and methods are useful in controlling shrinkage of DVA post film extrusion.
MAGNETIC TIRE SEALANT FOR PUNCTURE DETECTION
Tires having a magnetic tire sealing material containing magnetic particles are described for detecting the presence of one or more sealed punctures in the tire. The tires can have a sealed tire portion that is formed by the magnetic tire sealing material flowing into and filling a puncture in the tire. The sealed tire portion includes a portion having magnetic particles and the portion being at the outer surface of the tire such as in the tread area. The tire can be positioned within the detection zone of an apparatus capable of detecting magnetic particles to indicate whether the tire contains a sealed puncture filled with the magnetic tire sealing material.
PNEUMATIC TIRE HAVING FILM INNERLINER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a tire innerliner film coated with a new rubber adhesive liquid containing a specific component in a specific admixing ratio, a pneumatic tire manufactured using the innerliner film, and a method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire. The method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire includes the steps of winding a tire building drum with an innerliner film coated with the above rubber adhesive liquid; and overlapping both ends of the innerliner film with each other to form a splice joint, wherein the rubber adhesive liquid is coated in a thickness of 10 to 100 m, and the splice joint has a length of 20 to 100 mm.
