STYRENE-BASED BLOCK COPOLYMER LATEX
A latex of a styrene-based block copolymer includes a styrene-based block copolymer and water. The styrene-based block copolymer includes a toluene insoluble content of 30 to 95 wt %. The latex of the styrene-based block copolymer is superior in the processability and can provide a molded film such as a dip-molded product having the high tear strength, the high stress retention and the soft texture.
Composite product and a process for producing said product
The present invention relates to a method of making a foamed cellulosic fiber-thermoplastic composite article. The method includes the steps of providing a copolymer composition, combining the copolymer composition and cellulosic fibers, applying heat, mixing energy and pressure to form a foamable mixture, and forming the foamable article in a molding or extruding operation. The method is characterized in that at least 10% of the cellulosic fibers have been thermally modified prior to being combined with the copolymer composition.
POLYBUTYLENE TEREPHTHALATE THERMOFORMING PROCESS
The invention relates to the use of a thermoplastic polymer having a melting point below 220° C. as additive in polybutylene terephthalate molding compositions for reducing the necking upon elongation of sheets or films of the polybutylene terephthalate molding composition, preferably wherein the polybutylene terephthalate molding composition comprises a) 50 to 95 wt % of polybutylene terephthalate as component A, b) 5 to 50 wt % of the thermoplastic polymer having a melting point below 220° C., as component B, c) 0 to 45 wt % of filler as component C, d) 0 to 20 wt % of further additives as component D, wherein the total of components A to D is 100 wt %.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO FACILITATE PLASTIC FILM PROCESSING
A system includes a film processing module, a processor, and memory. The processor and memory are in communication with the film processing module. The processor is configured to dynamically coordinate movement of the film processing module relative to a moving web of film and to perform a function on the web of film with the film processing module.

Hair Fasteners and Methods of Manufacture Thereof
There is disclosed a hair fastener. The hair fastener is in the form of a loop for securing a log of hair within the loop. The hair fastener has an inner elastic core and an outer fabric enveloping the inner elastic core, wherein the elastic core is made of a band with a width of 2 to 6 mm and a thickness of 1 to 3 mm, and made of silicone or a material of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) selected from the consisting of hydrogenated styrenic block copolymers (SEBS), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV). The hair fastener is adapted to assume a first, default, configuration in which an opening defined and surrounded by the loop has a first area and a second, fully expanded, configuration in which the opening defined and surrounded by the loop has a second area.
METHOD FOR SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING, USING THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER POWDERS
The present invention relates to a process for producing a three-dimensional component by means of selective laser sintering (SLS), wherein a processing temperature T.sub.x is established in a build chamber, and a powder layer consisting of a thermoplastic polymer powder is provided in the build chamber. The thermoplastic polymer powder comprises a blend of a semicrystalline polymer, an amorphous polymer and a polymeric compatibilizer. The polymer powder is then melted in a spatially resolved manner by means of a directed beam of electromagnetic radiation, wherein binding of the regions of the melted and resolidified polymer layer by layer in multiple steps affords a three-dimensional component. In the process of the invention, the temperature in the build chamber during the performance of the individual steps varies by not more than +/−10% from the processing temperature T.sub.x set. In addition, the processing temperature T.sub.x differs by not more than +/−20 K from the processing temperature T.sub.x(A) of a polymer powder comprising the corresponding semicrystalline polymer as the sole polymeric component.
Oral care implement having multi-component handle
A method of forming a handle for an oral care implement. The method may include first forming a core structure out of a first hard plastic. Next, an elongated handle body may be formed out of a second hard plastic, whereby during formation the elongated handle body is made to partially surround the core structure, while leaving opposing surfaces of the core structure exposed. Finally, a grip cover may be formed out of a resilient material and positioned over at least a portion of the elongated handle body. The oral care implement handle formed by the method may include a handle having an elongated handle body and a core structure. The elongated handle body may have openings in opposing surfaces. The core structure may be partially surrounded by the elongated handle body while protruding from the openings.
Mechanical assembly for securing sheets and related method
A mechanical assembly for securing a first sheet to a second sheet includes a first projection having a first sidewall and a first top wall. The first sidewall extends from the first top wall at a first acute angle. The first sidewall includes a first top end and a first bottom end. A first discontinuity is defined in the first sidewall between the first top end and the first bottom end. A first base wall extends from the first bottom end. The first base wall extends generally parallel to the first top wall.
