CHEMICAL MECHANICAL POLISHING PAD AND PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention concerns a chemical mechanical polishing pad having a polishing layer. The polishing layer contains an extruded sheet. The extruded sheet is prepared by extruding a compounded photopolymerizable composition followed by exposure to UV light.
Multi-layered plastic casing having a porous food contact side, suitable for transferring food additives
A coextruded, multi-layered, water vapor-impermeable, tubular, and seamless food casing having at least three layers is provided. The layers include at least one porous layer having a porous food contact side suitable for transferring food additives having a porous food contact side, at least one carrier layer based on at least one aliphatic and/or partially aromatic (co-)polyamide, and at least one water vapor-impermeable layer. At least one adhesive layer including an adhesion-promoting component is arranged between the adjoining layers or an adhesion-promoting component is contained in one or more of the water vapor-impermeable layer(s). At least one porous layer includes an aliphatic (co-)polyamide and a hydrophilic (co-)polymer having a mean molar mass M.sub.w of at least 8000 Da. A method for producing the food casing is provided. The food casing is used as an artificial sausage casing, especially, for cooked or boiled sausage.
MULTILAYER FILMS, METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF AND ARTICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a multilayered article comprising a core layer comprising a thermoplastic polymer; where the thermoplastic polymer comprises a polyolefin, thermoplastic starch, and a compatibilizer; where the compatibilizer does not contain ethylene acrylic acid; where the polyolefin is not polypropylene and where the polyolefin present in an amount of greater than 40 wt %, based on a total weight of the core layer; a first layer comprising a thermoplastic resin; and a second layer comprising a thermoplastic resin; where the first layer and the second layer are devoid of fillers; where the first layer is disposed on a side of the core layer that is opposed to the side that contacts the second layer; where the multilayered article has an optical clarity of greater than 80% when measured as per ASTM D 1746 and a total haze less than 8% when measured as per ASTM D 1003.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A BUILDING PANEL AND AN ASSOCIATED BUILDING PANEL
The disclosure relates to a process for manufacturing a building panel, such as a floor panel, including a core. The process includes providing a core material including a thermoplastic material, a filler and hollow microparticles, and applying heat and pressure to the core material to form the core. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding building panel.
Fungal textile materials and leather analogs
Textile compositions comprising at least one filamentous fungus are disclosed, as are methods for making and using such textile compositions. Embodiments of the textile compositions generally include at least one of a plasticizer, a polymer, and a crosslinker, in addition to the filamentous fungus. The disclosed textile compositions are particularly useful as analogs or substitutes for conventional textile compositions, including but not limited to leather.
STEERING WHEEL
A steering wheel includes a core and a foamed polyurethane coating that covers a ring section of the core. The foamed polyurethane coating is formed by foam molding of a polyurethane material containing 91 parts by mass of a base polyol, 10 to 25 parts by mass of a pigment, 1 to 3 parts by mass of a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorber, 0.8 to 2.5 parts by mass of a hindered amine photostabilizer, and a polyisocyanate. A total amount of the ultraviolet absorber and the photostabilizer is 2.7 parts by mass or more. The foamed polyurethane coating is in the form of an integral skin foam including a highly foamed core foam and a lowly foamed skin layer. The surface of the skin layer is not provided with a coating film formed from a coating material, and serves as a product surface that assumes a color of the pigment.
POLYAMIDE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR DAMPING MATERIAL
A polyamide resin composition for a vibration-damping material, containing a polyamide resin, a plasticizer in an amount of from 7 to 35 parts by mass, and one or more members selected from the group consisting of plate-like fillers and acicular fillers in an amount of from 15 to 80 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the polyamide resin. The polyamide resin composition of the present invention can be suitably used as a vibration-damping material for a material for audio equipment such as, for example, speakers, television, radio cassette players, headphones, audio components, or microphones, and manufactured articles such as electric appliances, transportation vehicles, construction buildings, and industrial equipment, or parts or housing thereof.
THERMAL CONDUCTING SHEET AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A thermal conducting sheet having a high adhesion between layers even if the thermal conducting sheet has a multilayer structure is provided. The thermal conducting sheet including a low-hardness layer and a reinforcing layer laminated on one side or both sides of the low-hardness layer. The reinforcing layer having a hardness greater than a hardness of the low-hardness layer. The low-hardness layer comprises: acrylic polymer, silicon carbide, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and plasticizer.
