Fungal textile materials and leather analogs
Textile compositions comprising at least one filamentous fungus are disclosed, as are methods for making and using such textile compositions. Embodiments of the textile compositions generally include at least one of a plasticizer, a polymer, and a crosslinker, in addition to the filamentous fungus. The disclosed textile compositions are particularly useful as analogs or substitutes for conventional textile compositions, including but not limited to leather.
BALANCE TRAINER, MOLD ASSEMBLY FOR MAKING THE SAME, AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS THEREOF
A balance trainer having a dome and a base formed integrally is provided. Besides, a mold assembly for manufacturing the balance trainer that has a dome mold, a girdle, and a cover is provided. The girdle is sleeved on the dome mold and the cover is fixed on the girdle and thereby a cavity is formed in the mold assembly. Furthermore, a manufacturing process of the balance trainer is also provided. The process has the following steps: preparing ingredients of the dome and the base; feeding the ingredients of the dome into the dome mold; fixing a membrane on the dome mold via the girdle; feeding the ingredients of the base; sealing the ingredients via the cover; and then rotational molding. With the process and the mold, the rotational molding step can mold two materials at the same time, so the product can have two parts with different hardness.
Free-flowing pressure sensitive adhesives
The invention relates to hot melt adhesives which are pressure sensitive adhesives whereby the adhesive is provided in a granulated form and is free-flowing and does not block during storage. Such pellets can be used as feed for automated feeder devices for the supply hot melt application systems.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN EXTRUDED SHEET
The disclosure relates to a method for producing an extruded sheet, which includes: a) providing calcium carbonate (CaCO.sub.3) powder; b) providing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) powder; c) providing additives as stabilisers, e) heating the mixture until the PVC softens to form a kneadable mass and the CaCO.sub.3 at least partially bonds to the PVC; f) cooling the mass; g) conveying the mass to an extruder; h) melting and extruding the mass by means of an extruder and moulding into a sheet by means of a slotted nozzle; i) pressing the still-warm sheet to a desired final thickness by means of at least two calendar rolls; and j) at least one layer of a pigmented lacquer is applied to the upper side; and k) an additional lacquer is applied to the pigmented lacquer to increase the scratch resistance.
Extruded extended release abuse deterrent pill
The present disclosure relates to an oral, extended release pill containing a drug which is homogenously spread throughout a matrix. The pill can be prepared using a hot melt extrusion process and a forming unit. The formed pill meets regulatory guidelines for extended release formulations and can be abuse deterrent to parenteral administration due at least to particle size, viscosity, or purity limitations.
High strength stone plastic floor and manufacturing method thereof
The invention provides a high strength stone plastic floor and manufacturing method thereof. The stone plastic floor comprises a PVC substrate and a surface layer on a surface of the PVC substrate. Compositions of PVC substrate comprise: PVC powder from 20 to 35 weight percent, calcium carbonate from 60 to 70 weight percent, stabilizer from 1 to 3 weight percent, flexibilizer from 1 to 3 weight percent, lubricants from 0.4 to 1 weight percent, and colorant from 0.4 to 1 weight percent. The high strength stone plastic floor does not contain plasticizer so environmental risks are completely avoided. The contractility is good. The high strength stone plastic floor is resistant to high temperature and direct sunlight. Compared with conventional stone plastic floor, lifespan of the present invention is prolonged. The PVC substrate of the floor can be combined with different layers and can integrate different advantages of other floors.
NEEDLE SHIELD REMOVER AND A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE COMPRISING THE NEEDLE SHIELD REMOVER
A needle shield remover for a medicament delivery device is presented that has a metal tubular body, a proximal part, a distal part, and a substantially circular cross-section, where the tubular body is arranged with a slot extending from a distal end of the body, at least half the length of the body, towards a proximal end, such that at least the distal part of the body may flex radially outwards to exert a radially inwardly directed clamping force on a needle shield accommodated by the body.
THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL
A thermoplastic material is based on a mixture of thermoplastic and non-thermoplastic polymers, optionally recycled materials including tires. One thermoplastic material comprises a non-thermoplastic phase, comprising a mixture of natural and synthetic rubber and optionally a cross-linked polyurethane, and a thermoplastic phase comprising a thermoplastic polymer, wherein said thermoplastic material preferably comprises 10% to 40% by weight of a thermoplastic polymer, 0% to 30% by weight of across-linked polyurethane and 10% to 85% by weight of a mixture of natural and synthetic rubber, with the provision that the non-thermoplastic phase is in an amount of between 40% and 85% by weight. An process for obtaining the thermoplastic material is also disclosed.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LAMINATED FOAM SHEET AND EXTRUDED LAMINATED FOAM SHEET
A laminated foam sheet having a polyethylene resin foam layer and an antistatic polyethylene layer laminated on one or both sides thereof is produced by coextruding melts for respective layers, wherein the melt for the antistatic layer contains a polyethylene resin, an ionomer resin antistatic agent and a specific amount of volatile plasticizer blend containing an alcohol and a saturated hydrocarbon or a dialkyl ether. The antistatic layer of the obtained laminated foam sheet has specific morphology.
ELASTOMERIC STATOR WITH MODIFIED FIBER ORIENTATION
A stator for use in a positive displacement motor or a progressing cavity pump. The stator comprises an elastomer mix preferably including rubber and a fiber reinforcement. The fiber reinforcement includes a plurality of fibers. The elastomer mix is formed into a stator via an injection molding process. The injection molding process includes a shear flow step in which shear flow is induced in the elastomer mix while the elastomer mix is in an uncured state. The shear flow modifies the orientation of the fibers into an advantageous modified fiber orientation. Shear flow is induced preferably via differential rotation of injection mold assembly elements during the injection molding process. Methods of manufacturing the stator are also disclosed.
