Acoustic enclosure for motor vehicle
A method of creating in situ an acoustic enclosure in a space that is between body panels of a motor vehicle, wherein the space defines an empty volume, the method comprising placing into the space between body panels a molding tool that comprises a solid barrier that divides the space between body panels into an interior portion on an inside of the molding tool and an exterior portion that is external to an outside of the molding tool, where the outside of the molding tool is exposed to the space between body panels, and while the molding tool is in the space between the panels, introducing a fluid material into the exterior portion of the space between the body panels, wherein the fluid material is configured to cure into a solid shell.
Coextruded, crosslinked multilayer polyolefin foam structures from recycled metallized polyolefin material and methods of making the same
A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ISOCYANATE-BASED FOAM CONSTRUCTION BOARDS
A process for producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate construction board, the process comprising of providing an A-side reactant stream that includes an isocyanate-containing compound; providing a B-side reactant stream that includes a polyol, where the B-side reactant steam includes a blowing agent mixture including isopentane and a blowing agent additive that has a Hansen Solubility Parameter (δ.sub.t) that is greater than 15 MPa.sup.0.5; and mixing the A-side reactant stream with the B-side reactant stream to produce a reaction mixture.
Buoyant element
A buoyant element includes an elongate buoyant body that defines: (i) a major side; (ii) a minor side that is parallel to the major side; (iii) axial ends connecting the major and minor sides at an angle of substantially 45° from the orthogonal spanning the major and minor sides; and (iv) means for connecting adjacent buoyant elements together. The length of the major side is twice the length of the minor side.
POLYOLEFIN RESIN FOAM SHEET AND ADHESIVE TAPE
There is provided a polyolefin resin foam sheet having a plurality of cells which is formed by foaming a polyolefin resin, wherein, in the polyolefin resin foam sheet, the average cell sizes and the maximum cell sizes in the MD direction and the TD direction are each a predetermined value, and a ratio [TD strength at break/MD average cell size] and a ratio [MD strength at break/TD average cell size] are both 80 kPa/μm or more.
ELECTRODE FOR ELECTROSTIMULATION
An electrode for electrostimulation includes an electric path having a storage structure for an electrolyte which comprises a front side for placing the electrode onto the skin of a living being and a rear side for making electric contact, at least one electrically conductive contacting structure, and an electric pad comprising at least one barrier structure for preventing a lateral flow of electrolytes.
Polymeric Membrane Useful As A Commercial Roofing Membrane
The present disclosure provides a polymeric membrane. The polymeric membrane includes a first thermoplastic elastomer layer. The thermoplastic elastomer layer includes a filler component that is at least about 30 wt % of the thermoplastic elastomer layer. The polymeric membrane can further include an optional second thermoplastic elastomer layer in contact with the first polyolefin layer.
Hand-held channel marker
A buoy comprising: an annular upper portion disposed on a lower portion; a drain hole disposed in the upper portion proximate to the lower portion; a handhold disposed in the upper portion distal to the lower portion; an attachment member disposed in the lower portion and protruding from a bottom of the lower portion, wherein the bottom is opposite the upper portion; and wherein at least one of the upper portion and the lower portion comprises a closed cell foam.
Method of Making a Polymer Foam
In general, the present invention is directed to a continuous method of making a polymer foam by using a polymer having a first monomeric component and a second monomeric component. The method employs a tandem type extruder having a first extruder and a second extruder. The method disclosed herein can provide a foam having a desired cell size, cell density, porosity, foam density, and/or thermal conductivity, etc. In turn, the polymer foams produced according to the present method can have numerous applications, such as thermal insulation applications for appliances including ovens, freezers, refrigerators, etc.
SELF-FOAMING HOT MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
The present invention relates to self-foaming hot melt adhesive compositions and methods of making and using the same. Self-foaming hot melt adhesive compositions are formed by admixing a dispersion concentrate including a chemical blowing agent and a compatible carrier (liquid or molten) with a molten base hot melt adhesive composition at a temperature below the decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent. The resolidified material is processed through a device that heats the material above the decomposition temperature of the chemical agent and cools it below such temperature before being dispensed. The device preferably includes sensors and a controller configured to prevent the material from accumulating an adverse thermal history during processing.
