METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRINTING THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES WITH IMAGE INFORMATION
A method and system for printing 3D structures using 2D monochromatic images (for example, greyscale images) is provided. The method can include instructing a printing device to print a 2D monochromatic image using print material in a reservoir known to contain a structural print material. Greater amounts of print material are printed in locations corresponding to relatively darker regions of the 2D monochromatic image.
Method of printing grayscale and full-color 3D articles
In one aspect, methods of printing a 3D article are described herein. In some embodiments, a method of printing a 3D article comprises selectively depositing a first portion of build material in a fluid state onto a substrate to form a first region of build material; selectively depositing a first portion of support material in a fluid state to form a first region of support material; and selectively depositing a second portion of build material in a fluid state to form a second region of build material, wherein the first region of support material is disposed between the first region of build material and the second region of build material in a z-direction of the article. In some cases, the first region of support material forms a grayscale pattern and/or a CMY color pattern in combination with the first region of build material and/or the second region of build material.
SYNTHETIC RESIN MOLDED-ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MOLDING SAME
A molding method for a synthetic resin molding reduces a disturbed flow of molten resin at a side edge of a molding body during injection molding, and allows the design surface of the molding body to have aesthetic appearance. The synthetic resin molding includes a bend arranged on a side edge of the molding body and bending toward its back surface, and a flange protruding laterally from the bend and including a notch. The molding method includes arranging a gate at a position corresponding to an end of one side of the flange in a longitudinal direction and performing injection molding using a colored resin material containing a luster agent kneaded in the material, and forming a thin portion of the bend in a longitudinal direction of the bend to form a groove on a back surface of the bend.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR APPLYING A FINISH TO THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED OBJECTS
A three-dimensional object printer varies the finish in exposed surfaces of a printed object. The printer includes a controller operatively connected to at least two ejector heads, a leveling device, a curing device, and an actuator that is operatively connected to a member to which the at least two ejector heads, the leveling device, and the curing device are mounted. The controller is configured to detect a next layer to be formed being within a predetermined number of layers before an exposed surface is formed, to modify rendered data for the layers within the predetermined number of layers received from the source of rendered data, and to operate a plurality of ejectors in the at least two ejector heads with reference to the modified rendered data to apply a finish to the exposed surface.
FUNCTIONAL SHEET INCLUDING POLYESTER RESIN, AND LENS USING FUNCTIONAL SHEET
The present invention provides a functional sheet including a functional layer provided between protective layers. The functional layer is a polarizing film layer, a photochromic layer, or a combination of the polarizing film layer and the photochromic layer. At least one of the protective layers includes a layer formed of a resin (C) containing a polyester resin (A) obtained as a result of polycondensation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and an aromatic polycarbonate resin (B), the polyester resin (A) being contained at a content of 10 to 100 parts by mass and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B) being contained at a content of 0 to 90 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass as a total of the polyester resin (A) and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B). A lens is provided with such a functional sheet.
Method for producing a plastic molded article, plastic molded article and mold
A method for producing a decorated plastic molded article with the steps: a) providing a base body made of a fiber composite plastic b) providing a decorative film; c) heating the base body; d) joining the base body and the decorative film in a mold.
LUMINOUS DEVICE COMPRISING AT LEAST TWO LASER-WELDED PORTIONS
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle luminous device including at least one first portion that is transparent to at least one laser beam, the portion having at least one first polymer material, and at least one second portion that absorbs the laser beam and is transparent to at least some of the visible spectrum, including at least one second polymer material, the second portion being laser welded to the first portion.
FORMING DEVICE AND FORMING METHOD
A forming device that forms a 3D object includes a head section including a plurality of nozzle rows, and a scanning driving section that causes the head section to carry out a scanning operation; where the head section includes a first nozzle row group, a second nozzle row group, and a support nozzle row group; in an operation of at least one of the forming modes, the forming device forms at least one part of the 3D object using the first nozzle row group and the second nozzle row group and forms a support layer in a periphery of the 3D object; and when a maximum value of a material dischargeable in unit time in one scanning operation is defined as a material discharging ability, the material discharging ability of the support nozzle row group is greater than the material discharging ability of the first nozzle row group.
Dripless liquid color feed throat adaptor and method for dripless liquid color delivery
Apparatus and methods for converting granular plastic resin into colored finished or semi-finished plastic parts include a process machine having a barrel with a vertically opening feed throat, a rotatable screw inside the barrel, and a color feed conduit assembly positioned at least partially within the process machine and extending into the barrel for passage of liquid color downwardly through the color feed conduit assembly into proximity with the screw.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RADAR COVER AND RADAR COVER
A method for manufacturing a radar cover which covers a radar unit configured to detect surrounding conditions of a vehicle includes: preparing a base having a recessed portion formed of a transparent layer and comprising a colored layer stacked on a portion other than the recessed portion, and a shining member comprising a basal portion including a shining layer on a surface thereof and an edge portion; arranging the base and the shining member such that the edge portion of the shining member and the colored layer of the base are in contact with each other and the shining layer of the basal portion and the recessed portion face each other; and fixing the edge portion and the colored layer to each other.
