Molded Part and a Method for Manufacturing Such a Molded Part
20190061614 · 2019-02-28 ·

A molded part can comprise a backing and a decorative layer. The decorative layer has a back side facing the backing and a visible front side. A transparent or translucent layer is provided on the front side of the decorative layer, with a light source being provided about the molded part. An optical fiber can be connected to the light source on the visible, front side of the decorative layer. The optical fiber(s) can run parallel to the front side of the decorative layer in one or more grooves in at least some sections on the front side of the decorative layer. The optical fiber(s) may be formed by a transparent or translucent filler material introduced into the groove(s), the refractive index of the filler material being greater than the refractive index of the high-gloss layer. Implementations further include a method of making the same.

Method of forming a lighted dryer housing

A lighted dryer assembly for a vehicle wash system including a housing portion, having a head portion, a body portion, and an outlet portion. The head portion includes an air inlet portion for drawing air into the head portion and an outlet for passing the air to the body portion. The outlet portion has a plurality of exit nozzles that are configured to emit high velocity air therefrom for removing water from an exterior surface of a vehicle while disposed in a vehicle treatment area. The body portion includes an upper portion where air is received from the head portion and a lower portion disposed remote from the upper portion. A light source is disposed within the housing portion and configured to emit light that can be seen by a vehicle disposed in the vehicle treatment area.

FUSING AGENTS WITH BENZOTRIAZOLE RADIATION ABSORBERS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING

A three-dimensional printing kit can include a build material having from about 80 wt % to 100 wt % polymeric particles with a D50 particle size from about 10 ?m to about 150 ?m, and a fusing agent including from about 0.5 wt % to about 20 wt % benzotriazole radiation absorber solubilized in a liquid vehicle.

FUSING AGENTS WITH TRIAZINE RADIATION ABSORBERS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING

A fusing agent for three-dimensional printing can include from about 0.5 wt % to about 6 wt % triazine radiation absorber; from about 40 wt % to about 90 wt % organic cosolvent; from about 0.4 wt % to about 4 wt % of a surfactant selected from a polyethylene sorbitol ester, a polyoxyethylene lauryl ether, or a mixture thereof; and water.

Method of manufacturing moulded articles
12059817 · 2024-08-13 · ·

A method of producing a moulded article comprising a thermoset polymer and particles of porous natural materials, such as wood materials, and uses thereof. The composite material has a continuous matrix of a hardened thermoset polymer and, distributed within the matrix, and the particles are at least partially encased by the thermoset polymer. The method comprises the steps of providing a mould with two opposite pressing surfaces, said pressing surfaces defining a space between them; feeding particles of porous natural materials into the space between the pressing surfaces; advancing the surfaces towards each other to compress the particles in said space; feeding unhardened thermoset resin in liquid form into the mould so as to fill at least said space between pressing surfaces while keeping the particles compressed between the pressing surfaces; and curing the thermoset resin in the mould to provide a moulded composite article.

Methods And Systems For Making An Optical Functional Film
20180354211 · 2018-12-13 ·

A method to make dyed functional film comprising the steps of providing a soluble polymer material; adding an appropriate solvent to the polymer material to make a soluble polymer solution; providing a soluble dye; adding an appropriate solvent to the dye to make a soluble dye solution; adding the dye solution to the polymer or PVA solution, and introducing the dyed polymer or PVA solution to a solution casting device; removing a thin dyed functional film from the casting device; and letting the dyed functional film dry and solidified.

SKIN ANTISEPTIC APPLICATOR AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
20180326192 · 2018-11-15 ·

The invention relates to applicators for applying a solution or other composition (e.g., an antiseptic composition) to skin of a patient. The applicator may include a container body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a frangible member disposed at the distal end of the body. The applicator includes a first position where the container body and frangible member are a unitary piece (e.g., blow molded as a single piece), and a second position when the frangible member is rotated relative to the body to irreversibly break a weak point therebetween, releasing the composition in the hollow body through an opening. A porous applicator head may be positioned adjacent the distal end of the body and frangible member, so that the composition flows out the body, through the opening, and onto the head. The applicator may be formed in a blow-fill-seal process for improved sterility and ease of manufacture.

System including a seamless lens cover and related methods
10127686 · 2018-11-13 · ·

A seamless lens cover, and methods of forming such a seamless lens cover. The cap structure that covers a camera of a rotating panoramic camera system includes a seamless lens cover through which images are obtained by the camera. The cap structure may be injection molded at an initial lens cover thickness, and then a portion of the as molded initial lens cover thickness may be removed (e.g., by machining away) to achieve the final desired thickness. By such a method, the lens cover may be injection molded at thicknesses suitable for injection molding (e.g., about 0.06 to about 0.1 inch), after which most of the thickness may be machined away, to provide a seamless lens cover having a thickness of less than about 0.015 inch, exhibiting at least 60% transmittance to the thermal spectrum, no lensing characteristics, and no curvature effect.
