Polyurethane bonding process for fuel bladders
A method of bonding a metal fitting to a polyurethane structure, the method comprising abrading a surface of the metal fitting with an abrasive; cleaning the metal fitting with a solvent; cleaning a surface of the polyurethane structure with an alcohol; applying a primer to the surface of the metal fitting; applying an adhesive to the surface of the metal fitting and the surface of the polyurethane structure; applying a liquid polyurethane compound to the surface of the metal fitting and the surface of the polyurethane structure; and pressing the surface of the metal fitting against the surface of the polyurethane structure to form an assembly. The primer can comprise a first resin and a first catalyst in a ratio of about 1.1 to 1; the adhesive can comprise a second resin and a second catalyst in a ratio of about 3 to 1; and the liquid polyurethane compound can comprise a third resin and a third catalyst in a ratio of about 10 to 1.
Controlling application of forces to different portions of object surface using bladder
Provided are methods and apparatuses for processing objects by applying different forces and/or pressure levels to different portions of surfaces of these objects. An apparatus may include a flexible wall and a contact member. In some embodiments, the flexible wall forms a bladder such that the contact member is disposed inside the bladder. During operation, the flexible wall may be pressed against an object using a pressure differential across the wall (e.g., by pressurizing the bladder). This creates a first force acting on a first portion of the object surface. Furthermore, the contact member may be forced against the flexible wall and apply a second force to a second portion of the object surface through the wall. The second portion of the object surface may be a subset of the first portion or an entirely different portion.

Method for the production of a bladder accumulator and bladder accumulator produced according to said method
A method for the production of a bladder accumulator (10) that separates two media chambers (16, 18) from one another in a storage housing (12) by a bladder body (14). The following production steps include extruding a plastic tube over the bladder body (14), shaping the plastic tube with the integrated bladder body (14) in a molding tool that corresponds to a predeterminable plastic core container (20), and winding at least one plastic fiber from the outside on the plastic core container (20) for the purpose of creating the storage housing (12).
Water storage tank bladder, manufacturing method therefor, water storage tank including bladder, and water treatment apparatus including water storage tank
Disclosed are a water storage tank bladder, a manufacturing method therefor, the water storage tank including the bladder, and a water treatment apparatus including the water storage tank. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the water storage tank bladder used in the water storage tank to receive and store water and discharge the stored water has a lower side of which the thickness can be thicker than the thickness of the upper side of the bladder and thicker than the thickness of the lateral sides of the bladder.
Method of reinforcing a seam and a product with a reinforced seam in accordance with the method
A method of reinforcing a seam on a body involves folding a seam allowance into a series of accordion folds to form a series of parallel reinforcement layers. The parallel reinforcement layers are of similar size and form a ridge. A ridge cap of flexible material is placed over the ridge. The ridge cap provides at least one further parallel reinforcement layer. The method involves securing the ridge cap and parallel reinforcement layers together with rows of stitching, with the stitching extending through all of the parallel reinforcement layers.
Inflation and sealing device with release features
The present disclosure is related to an inflation and sealing device that can include low or non-stick surfaces and bump-off elements to prevent sticking to a holding region proximal to the exit from the inflation and sealing device.
Inflatable article of footwear or bladders for use in inflatable articles of manufacture
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable articles, or bladders for inflatable articles, that is time-efficient, simple, inexpensive and permits the uninterrupted manufacture of numerous and even customized article or bladder configurations and sizes, without expensive configuration-specific, metal tooling. The method includes the steps of applying a barrier material to a side of a first film, providing a second film with the first film so that the barrier material is disposed between the first and second films, adhering the first film to the second film so that the films are sealed together in areas except where the barrier material has been applied to form at least one inflatable compartment and sealed peripheral edge, and cutting along the sealed peripheral edge to form an inflatable article or bladder for use in an article of manufacture. The barrier material may be a paint, ink, paper or surface treatment that effectively prevents the first film from adhering to the second. The inflatable article or bladder of the present invention may be used as or in athletic equipment, for example, including footwear.
Device and Method for Manufacturing Cylindrical Member
A cylindrical member manufacturing device is provided.
A rear end of an arm is rotatably supported by a base fixed to a rotation shaft coaxial with a drum shaft and separated from the drum shaft in a drum width direction; the arm is set to rotate in a direction so that a front end moves toward and away from an outer circumferential surface of a forming drum; and the base , the arm, and the rotation shaft are integrally rotated about the rotation shaft with the rotating forming drum with the front end moved toward the outer circumferential surface and the arm pressing a front end of a band-like rubber member disposed on the outer circumferential surface and holding a first end on the outer circumferential surface in order to wind the band-like rubber member around the outer circumferential surface and form the band-like rubber member into a cylindrical shape.
BLADDER FILLABLE WITH PRESSURE MEDIUM AS AN ADJUSTMENT ELEMENT FOR A SEAT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE BLADDER
To produce a bladder which can be filled with pressure medium, a one-piece hose-like bladder body is provided with a casing surface which extends from a first end portion to a second end portion and encloses a bladder chamber. Furthermore, a pressure medium line is introduced into the bladder chamber in particular through the first or the second end portion. Finally, at least one joint connection is produced for closing the open end portions so as to form a bladder chamber sealed against pressure medium. By using a hose-like bladder body as the base body for the bladder, the manufacturing complexity for production is minimized.
