Systems and methods for treating blood
According to some embodiments, a system may treat blood containing metformin outside the body of a patient. The system may include one or more pumps configured to pump blood in a fluid flow path at a collective rate over 4 liters per minute. The system may include one or more heat exchangers operable to heat at least a portion of the blood to a temperature of at least 42 degrees. The system may include one or more convection dialysis modules configured to perform convection dialysis on at least a portion of the blood at least after the one or more heat exchangers allow the blood to cool one or more degrees.
NASOGASTRIC PROBE
A nasogastric probe comprises at least one substantially flexible tubular element of elongated shape, provided with at least one main channel communicating with at least one feeding mouth of nutritive substances or the like, which is arranged at a first end stretch of the tubular element itself, and with at least one delivery mouth of nutritive substances or the like, which is arranged at a second end stretch opposed to the first end stretch and intended to be inserted into the patient's stomach passing through the esophagus; and it comprises pressure detecting means inside the esophagus comprising at least one pressure sensor associated with the tubular element and interposed between the feeding mouth and the delivery mouth.
Method and system for controlled hyperthermia
Methods and for treatment of cancer and other diseases including complications from late stage viral infections by inducing hyperthermia in a patient relying on withdrawing blood from the patient and returning the withdrawn blood to the patient to establish an extracorporeal flow circuit. Blood is heated by passing through the extracorporeal circuit at a controlled rate until a target body core temperature in is achieved. Usually, the blood will be subjected to a continuously re-circulating dialysis to balance electrolytes. Additionally, the blood will be subjected to a continuously recirculating regeneration through a carbon sorbent column where toxins and contaminants are removed. The blood temperature is maintained at the target blood temperature for a treatment period, and the blood is cooled after the treatment period has been completed. The method can also be effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, hepatitis, sepsis, the Epstein-Barr virus, and patients with life threatening complications from other viruses, including the COVID-19 virus. A method for removing viruses from the blood supply in an external circuit is also presented.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF A PET PRODUCT WITH TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATORY OUTPUT
Certain pet products, such as collar, halters, pet beds, and the like, may be adapted to provide transcutaneous vibratory output. A device adapted to be worn by a non-human animal may include i) at least one of a collar or a harness structured to fit the non-human animal; and ii) at least one transducer located at least partially within the at least one collar or harness and structured to deliver a transcutaneous vibratory output to the non-human animal, the transcutaneous vibratory output having variable parameters comprising a perceived pitch, a perceived beat, and a perceived intensity.
Bioelectric blood pressure management
Described are a system and method that utilize bioelectric signaling to balance electrical potentials in a subject's body via neuro-hormonal circuit loops, to increase elasticity of the subject's arteries to promote protein release to dampen arterial blood pressure, and to change arterial electrical charges to reduce narrowing of the arteries. The described system is designed to localize and stimulate the fibers inside the vagus nerve without inadvertent stimulation of non-baroreceptive fibers causing side effects like bradycardia and bradypnea. The system also controls release of specific proteins known to lower blood pressures including tropoelastin (known to increase elasticity in the aorta and other peripheral blood vessels).
SKIN TREATMENT SYSTEM
A skin regeneration therapy combining precise bioelectric signals, light, and biologics for skin treatment and regeneration. Precise bioelectric signals give clear instructions to the stimulated cell DNA/RNA to produce specific regenerative proteins on demand. Bioelectric signals give clear instructions to cell membranes on what to let in and what to let out and serve as an equivalent or surrogate of environmental stimuli to cause a cell action in response.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INCREASING THE WELL-BEING OF LIVING BEINGS
A device for increasing the well-being of living beings, including a brain stimulator for generating a stimulation signal in the infrasonic range, the brain stimulator being used to stimulate the brain of the living being. A massager is provided for generating a massage signal, by means of which body parts of the living being can be massaged.
VASCULAR ABLATION
The disclosure includes a vein ablation system, comprising a catheter having an elongated body. In some embodiments, the vein ablation system comprises an ablation device at a distal portion of the elongated body. According to some embodiments, the vein ablation system comprises a control device at a proximal portion of the elongated body. The control device may comprise an input mechanism configured to simultaneously control at least two of a longitudinal translation of the ablation device through a target vessel, a rotation of the ablation device about a central longitudinal axis, and an infusion of a chemical agent into the target vessel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A ROBOTIC ARM
Systems and methods for controlling a robotic arm are provided. A breathing pattern of a patient may be controlled and a sample of the breathing pattern may be obtained. A pattern of movement of an anatomical element based on the sample may be determined. A trajectory of a robotic arm may be adjusted based on the pattern of movement.
Apparatus and methods for restoring tissue
An apparatus and methods tissue restoration are provided. The apparatus may include a catheter shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal tip, a plurality of serial balloons positioned on a translucent distal segment of the catheter shaft proximal to the distal tip and positioned inside of and concentric with a second distal balloon, the plurality of serial balloons in fluid communication with an inflation source via a first lumen, each of the plurality of serial balloons having a selectively expandable outermost radial surface. The plurality of serial balloons may include a translucent material, a series of isolated volumetric regions positioned between the plurality of serial balloons and recessed from the outermost radial surfaces of the serial balloons. The apparatus may include a distal balloon positioned around the plurality of serial balloons, and a light fiber positioned in the catheter shaft and extending through the translucent distal segment.
