Atomizer
An atomizer includes a motor mounted in a housing. First and second cylinder units are received in the housing. The first cylinder unit includes a first piston and a first coupling bearing connected to the first piston. The second cylinder unit includes a second piston and a second coupling bearing connected to the second piston. An eccentric transmission shaft of the motor extends through the first and second coupling bearings of the first and second cylinder units. The first and second pistons of the first and second cylinder units move reciprocatingly when the motor operates. An intake check valve is mounted in an intake passage between an intake port of the first cylinder unit and an inlet of the housing. An outlet check valve is mounted in an outlet passage between an outlet port of the second cylinder unit and an outlet of the housing.
Inhalation device
The present invention provides for the integration of drug dispersion methods into a drug or medicine delivery system. The drug dispersion methods used include shear (e.g., air across a drug, with or without a gas assist), capillary flow or a venturi effect, mechanical means such as spinning, vibration, or impaction, and turbulence (e.g., using mesh screens, or restrictions in the air path). These methods of drug dispersion allow for all of the drug in the system to be released, allowing control of the dosage size. These methods also provide for drug metering, fluidization, entrainment, deaggragation and deagglomeration. The present invention also provides for the integration of a drug sealing system into the device. The drug sealing system provides a way of blocking the migration of drug from one area of the package to another. The drug seal system can also provide a method of tightly containing the drug until the package is opened, of directing airflow through the package and of managing and containing the drug during the package/device manufacturing process.
MULTIPLE FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH MULTI-USE DISPOSABLE SET AND FEATURES THEREOF
A multi-fluid injector system having a powered injector having a housing enclosing at least one reciprocally operable piston is described. The injector system includes a multi-use disposable set (MUDS) connectable to the powered fluid injector. The MUDS has at least one syringe having a proximal end and a distal end and a plunger reciprocally movable by the at least one piston element within a syringe interior between the proximal end and the distal end; a manifold in fluid communication with the distal end of the at least one syringe; at least one valve in fluid communication with the syringe interior, the at least one valve operable between a filling position for filling the syringe interior with fluid and a delivery position for delivering the fluid from the syringe interior; and at least one connection port in fluid communication with the manifold and the syringe interior when the at least one valve is in the delivery position. The injector system further includes a coupling mechanism for operating the at least one valve between the filling position and the delivery position. Various features of the MUDS assembly and methods of interaction between the injector system and the MUDS assembly are also described.
Medical fluid cassette leak detection methods and devices
A method is provided for detecting leaks in a disposable medical fluid cassette that includes a base and a flexible membrane attached to the base in such a way that the base and the flexible membrane cooperate to at least partially form a fluid passageway. The method includes applying a first force to the flexible membrane, measuring a first physical property of a system that includes the medical fluid cassette a medical fluid pumping machine, removing the first force from the flexible membrane, applying a second force to the flexible membrane, measuring a second physical property of the system, and determining whether the medical fluid cassette leaks based on a comparison of the first physical property and the second physical property.
Breast pump system
The invention is a wearable breast pump system including a housing shaped at least in part to fit inside a bra and a piezo air-pump. The piezo air-pump is fitted in the housing and forms part of a closed loop system that drives a separate, deformable diaphragm to generate negative air pressure. The diaphragm is removably mounted on a breast shield.
SURGICAL GAS DELIVERY DEVICE WITH INTERNAL GASEOUS SEALING MODULE AND FILTERED TUBE SET THEREFOR
A system for performing an endoscopic surgical procedure in a surgical cavity of a patient that includes a gas delivery device configured to deliver a flow of pressurized gas to a gas delivery lumen extending therefrom, a gaseous sealing module communicating with a distal end of the gas delivery lumen and configured to generate a gaseous seal within a gas sealed lumen extending therefrom, and an access port communicating with a distal end of the gas sealed lumen so as to provide sealed instrument access to the surgical cavity and maintain a stable pressure within the surgical cavity.
METHOD FOR QUALITATIVE AND/OR QUANTITATIVE DETECTION OF SUBSTANCES CONTAINED IN A HEMP PLANT AND KIT FOR USE THEREIN
The present invention relates to a kit comprising: a) an ampoule; b) a material comprising a hemp plant or parts thereof; and c) a color indicator capable of reacting by contacting the hemp plant and/or at least a part thereof to change the color of the color indicator, wherein the material and the color indicator are disposed in the ampoule; and a method for qualitatively and/or quantitatively detecting one or more substance(s) contained in the hemp plant using the kit.
SMART MASKS
A smart mask includes a face covering, an attachment member, one or more sensors, and a controller. The face covering is configured to cover a face area of a wearer. The attachment member is configured to attach the face covering onto the face area of the wearer. The one or more sensors comprises an air quality sensor configured to obtain first data associated with nearby air quality or a breathing pattern sensor configured to obtain second data associated with the wearer's breathing pattern. The controller is configured to process the first data associated with nearby air quality to identify a current air quality, or process the second data obtained by the breathing pattern. In response to determining that the current air quality is worse than a predetermined threshold, or identifying a particular breathing pattern, the controller is configured to generate a notification, notifying the wearer.
DISPENSER FOR SPRAYING POWDER AND POWDER SPRAYER INCLUDING SAME
The present invention provides a 2-way air flow type dispenser for spraying powder and a powder sprayer including the same. The present invention adopts a 2-way air flow manner in which an air flow causing the powder to be sprayed and an air flow causing the powder to be transferred from a container to a spraying nozzle are separately formed, thereby enabling the smooth spraying of the powder.
