Double shell fastener caps
A cover that extends over a fastener and methods of installing the cover over the fastener. The cover includes an open end positioned at a member from which the fastener extends. The cover also includes a closed end that extends over the fastener and shields the fastener from the exterior environment that can be combustible. The cover includes an outer shell with one or more windows. An inner shell is positioned within the outer shell. The inner shell includes one or more windows that are offset from the windows of the outer shell. One or more flow paths extend through the windows for gas, liquid, and/or some particles to flow through the cover while removing the thermal and/or kinetic energy that may ignite the combustible exterior environment.
Strengthened thin glass-polymer laminates
A glass-polymer laminate structure includes a flexible glass substrate having a thickness of no more than about 0.3 mm. A polymer layer is laminated to a surface of the flexible glass substrate having a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) that is at least about 2 times a CTE of the flexible glass substrate. The polymer layer is laminated to the surface of the flexible glass substrate after thermally expanding the polymer layer to provide the flexible glass substrate with an in-plane compressive stress of at least about 30 MPa along a thickness of the flexible glass substrate.
Apparatus and method for forming an article
A method for forming an article of manufacture using additive manufacturing, includes: a processor executing program instructions to: (a) rotate an object continuously about a horizontal axis using a first rotational stage, wherein the object is partially submerged in a bath of energy curable liquid formulation during the rotation; (b) control a rate of rotation of the object to achieve a desired radial thickness of a sub layer of uncured liquid formulation at a desired rotational location on the object; (c) direct an energy source to provide an energy dose onto the object at a desired rotational location, wherein the energy dose is configured to cure and solidify the sub layer; and repeat (a), (b) and (c) until a desired radial thickness of a cured liquid formulation layer is a achieved.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLASTIC DUCT BANK MANUFACTURE
A method and apparatus for manufacturing a duct bank comprising the steps of loading a frame with a series of templates, positioning the frame adjacent a pipe extruder, aligning a set of a plurality of holes with a die of the pipe extruder, extruding a pipe of a first length into the set of holes, repeating the steps of aligning and extruding for each set of holes, thereby forming the duct bank, banding the duct bank, and removing the duct bank from the frame.
PRODUCTION OF LOW DENSITY PRODUCTS BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Provided herein according to some embodiments is polymerizable liquid useful for the production of a three-dimensional object by additive manufacturing, said polymerizable liquid comprising a mixture of: (a) at least one photopolymerizable component; (b) a photoinitiator; (c) at least one heat polymerizable component; and (d) heat expandable microspheres. A method of making a three-dimensional object from such a polymerizable liquid by additive manufacturing and objects so produced are also provided.
Sheet-like member forming method and apparatus
An insulating sheet is pushed into a first mold portion, and formed in a first shape along a shape of the first mold portion. The insulating sheet of the first shape inside the first mold portion is pushed into the second mold, and is deformed by a front mold portion, a front guide portion, and a bent convex portion of the front mold, and a rear mold portion and a rear guide portion of the rear mold, and is formed in a second shape. The insulating sheet of the second shape is inclined such that the front end portion overlaps the rear end portion in a first direction, and the width in a front-rear direction becomes narrower toward the front and the rear end portions. The insulating sheet inserted in the second mold and formed in the second shape is inserted into a slot of a stator core.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SPACERS FOR A WINDING UNIT AND VOLTAGE-RESISTANT SPACERS FOR CAST RESIN TRANSFORMERS
In a cost-effective and qualitatively better method for producing spacers for a winding unit of an electrical high-voltage device, at least two starting components are mixed together in a mixing chamber under vacuum to form a component mixture. The component mixture is transferred to an extrusion housing, likewise under vacuum, of an extruder in which a transport device is arranged and which is equipped with a mouthpiece delimiting an outlet opening. The extrudate exiting from the mouthpiece is cured by the addition of heat in a vacuum in order to obtain the spacers.

Transformer insulation
The present invention relates to an electrical transformer comprising an electrical insulator and a winding of an electrical conductor around a core, said insulator being formed of an essentially non-porous composite material comprising a resin matrix and up to 85% by weight of insulating fibres surrounded by the resin matrix, the composite material having a maximum moisture content of less than 0.5% by weight at 23 C. and 50% relative humidity.
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR FORMING PRE-SHAPED INSULATING SHEETS
An apparatus for forming pre-shaped insulating sheets comprises first bending station and a second bending station. The first bending station is used for bending a flat sheet of insulating material into a Z-shaped sheet (5). The second bending station is used for bending the Z-shaped sheet into an S-shape. The first and second bending stations comprise pairs of first (13a, 13b) 13b and second bending operators for creating bending movements.
