BALING PRESS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE BALING PRESS
A baling press and a method for operating the baling press. The baling press, or baler, has a baler housing surrounding a bale chamber, and a pressing plate that is movable in the baler housing and which can be driven by hydraulic cylinders arranged in pairs on two opposite sides outside the bale chamber. The baler has a hydraulic control device, by means of which the hydraulic cylinders of each pair of cylinders can each be controlled either selectively individually or jointly, depending on the press pressure. Furthermore, a method for operating the baling press, or baler is taught.
ACCUMULATOR
An apparatus including an accumulator and a drive mechanism. The accumulator includes an energy storage apparatus with a first piston face configured to reversibly compress an energy storage medium and a second piston face forming at least part of an inner surface of a corresponding second fluid chamber reversibly expandable by movement of the second piston face. A third piston face forms at least part of an inner surface of a corresponding third fluid chamber reversibly expandable by the third piston face. The first, second and third piston faces are coupled together
Rubber bales and apparatus and method for making same
Improved bales may be formed using methods that include baling equipment with multi-component bolster assemblies that may ease installation and removal, reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The bolster assemblies may include a plurality of coupling portions that engage a hydraulic rod and may enable the bolster assembly to self-center within a press chamber during normal baling operations. The bolster assemblies also may include an island portion that may be attached to the coupling portions and to a bolster cap, and the latter may be attached using retainer bolts having substantially flat, non-circular heads. The bolts may reduce irregularities in the bale and/or prevent material seepage into the bolster assemblies. During maintenance, an operator may remove only the bolster cap island assembly for cleaning, substantially reducing the time and strength needed to clean and/or repair the baler and reduce downtime.
TRASH COMPACTOR
A trash compactor may include a frame, a cavity, a trash receptacle, a platen movable to compress trash collected in the trash receptacle, a set of linkages and a drive mechanism configured to drive said platen up and down, the drive mechanism further configured as one of the link elements, and a platen guide mechanism configured to restrict the motion of the platen in an up and down manner.

Bin for a rubbish collection vehicle with improved compaction
A system for compacting rubbish, including a frame having a front wall, a carrier to be moved in a forwards-backwards direction relative to the frame, an upper scoop pivotably mounted on the carrier about a first horizontal axis and having an upper face for milling rubbish, and a lower scoop pivotably mounted on the upper scoop about a second horizontal axis, and having a lower milling face rubbish. The upper and lower scoops are to take a downwardly deployed position when their respective milling faces face the front wall. The carrier is to be moved forwards when the upper and lower scoops are in deployed position, in such a way as to compact the rubbish between the milling faces and the front wall. In the deployed position, a projection of the upper milling face in a transverse plane has a surface greater than or equal to a projection of the lower milling face in the transverse plane.
Solar-powered waste compactor and method of operation thereof
A solar-powered waste compactor comprises a waste container for housing waste, a compactor ram actuated by a hydraulic cylinder and piston assembly for compacting the waste in the waste container, and a hydraulic power unit operably associated with the hydraulic cylinder and piston assembly for powering the compactor ram. The hydraulic power unit comprises a motor/pump assembly including a pump unit, a single-phase electric motor driving the pump unit and a flow control valve operating the motor/pump assembly at first or second flow rate depending on an operating pressure. The hydraulic power unit further comprises a battery unit, a solar panel to charge the battery unit, a DC-to-AC inverter, a single-phase AC power inlet connectable to a source of a single-phase electrical power grid, and a reversing contactor providing the electric current only from the inverter or the power inlet at any given time.
DEVICE FOR COMPRESSING AND TYING UP RECYCLING BALES AND METHOD FOR TYING UP RECYCLING BALES USING SUCH A DEVICE
A device for compressing and tying up recycling bales with tying means includes a baling channel and a baling ram mounted for translational motion in the baling channel. The baling ram has a channel for guiding a vertically movable tying tool that transports a tying means, guiding the tying means below the baling channel, around at least one deflector, and over the guide contour of a guide element. The device has a swivel arm which, during normal operation of the device, is in a guiding position in which the tying means is guided along the at least one deflector and over the guide contour of the guide element in a sliding motion. The swivel arm has a gripping device on the tying means side for the automated fixing of a free end of a torn-off piece of tying means.
Rubber balers
A bailing apparatus may include a multi-component bolster assemblies that may ease installation and removal, reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve baling efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The bolster assemblies may include a plurality of coupling portions that engage a hydraulic rod and may enable the bolster assembly to self-center within a press chamber during normal baling operations. The bolster assemblies also may include an island portion that may be attached to the coupling portions and to a bolster cap, and the latter may be attached using retainer bolts having substantially planar heads that may define lips that run about frustums. The bolts may substantially planar head may reduce irregularities in the bale and the lips may prevent material seepage into the bolster assemblies.
Outer space waste compaction
A waste compaction apparatus may include a housing and a connector arm. The housing may define a drive chamber and a compaction chamber and the connector arm may include a drive piston portion movably positioned within the drive chamber and a compaction piston portion movably positioned within the compaction chamber. The drive chamber may be selectively fluidly coupleable to the near-vacuum of outer space, such that the compaction piston portion of the connector arm is configured to move within the compaction chamber to compact waste material contained within the compaction chamber in response to movement of the drive piston portion of the connector arm within the drive chamber.
