Straight consistent body scores on plastic corrugated boxes and a process for making same
The invention is directed to straight, consistent body scores on plastic corrugated boxes and a process for making the body scores.
METHOD OF TEMPLATE MANUFACTURING FOR PAPER DIE-CREASING AND FOLDING APPLICATION
A method of template manufacturing for paper die-creasing and folding application is disclosed; first of all, an image file having die-creases is output to a UV inkjet printer first, and a template is disposed in the UV inkjet printer to allow the UV inkjet printer to print the image file on the template, thereby forming the image file having die-creases on the template; then the template with the image file having die-creases thereon is assembled onto a roller of a die-creasing machine to carry out a die-creasing process for paper materials.
Plastic corrugated container with soft score line
A box formed from a plastic corrugated material with soft score lines is provided. The soft score lines are formed to enable the top flaps of the box to lay substantially flat against the outer surface of the box when folded to an open position.
Process for forming plastic corrugated container with ultrasonically formed score lines
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
Converting machine
A system that converts sheet material into packaging templates includes a converting assembly that performs conversion functions, such as cutting, creasing, and scoring, on the sheet material as the sheet material moves through the converting machine in a first direction. The converting assembly may be mounted on a frame such that the converting assembly is elevated above a support surface. One or more longhead converting tools performs conversion functions on the sheet material in a first direction and a crosshead converting tool performs conversion functions on the sheet material in a second direction in order to create packaging templates.
Roller mounting arrangements
The invention relates to an apparatus comprising a pair of rollers (2) with a nip and having respective axes thereof in a common plane therebetween, first and second roller mounting arrangements (8) at respective opposite ends of said pair (2), said arrangements having a hinging system (26, 30) at one side of said common plane and whereby one of the pair of rollers (2) can be turned relative to the other. The invention also relates to an associated method.
Creasing plate for creasing a sheet from paper, cardboard, carton, foil or a similar material
A creasing plate (24) for creasing a sheet (12) from paper, cardboard, carton, foil or a similar material, the creasing plate (24) consisting of plastically deformable material and comprising at least one creasing projection (26) formed from a plurality of small, plastically deformed areas which merge into each other so as to form the creasing projection (26).
METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZING A BLANK, AND THE RESULTING BLANK
A method for customizing a blank of sheet material delimited by first and second opposite sides and third and fourth opposite sides orthogonal to the first and second sides involves doing, on a face of the blank, a first couple of first and second wave-shaped crease lines and a second couple of third and fourth wave-shaped crease lines, each wave-shaped crease line being crossed by straight crease tracts, so that the third side, the first, second, third and fourth wave-shaped crease lines and fourth side delimit in succession a first top panel, a first side panel, a bottom panel, a second side panel and a second top panel, doing first and second continuous straight crease lines parallel to each other and to the straight crease tracts and delimiting respective back and front wings of each of the first top panel, first side panel, bottom panel, second side panel and second top panel. Glue is transversally applied to the straight crease lines.
Interchangeable die-cutting creasing system
A cutting-die creasing apparatus includes anchors that together with crease members allow for the quick exchange or replacement of crease members on a die-cutting board. The creasing apparatus does not require fasteners such as nails or staples, nor does it require adhesives or other adherents to attach the crease members to the board and to maintain the structural integrity of the overall system. The creasing apparatus also maintains a more consistent geometric alignment due to the anchor being located via the initial geometrically located cut into the die board as opposed to surface mounted creasing systems, the location of which may vary dependent on how it is applied. The system also provides for a wide variety of designs that can be customized and produced to fit specific applications.
Polymeric rule die, and formulations therefor
Die and counter-die systems, polymeric rule dies for such systems, and polymeric formulations suitable for producing such rule dies using digital rule writing. There is provided a rule die for pressure-contacting of a cardboard workpiece surface, including: (a) a die body; and (b) at least one elongate polymeric rule, each rule having: (i) a first elongate base surface adhesively attached to a surface of the die body; and (ii) an elongate protrusion, distally protruding from the die body, the elongate protrusion having an elongate die surface, the elongate die surface including a polymeric material, the elongate die surface having a contact surface adapted to contact the workpiece surface; the contact surface having a length of at least 5 mm and a first width (W) within a range of 0.4 to 1.0 mm, the rule having a height (H) within a range of 1.0 to 4.5 mm; wherein, over a total length of the contact surface, the contact surface having at most 5 surface pocks/meter, the pocks having a diameter above 0.1 mm.
