METHODS AND A MACHINE FOR FORMING A CONTAINER FROM A BLANK
A machine a mandrel assembly includes a mandrel having an external shape complimentary to an internal shape of at least a portion of a container, a first lift mechanism operatively coupled to a first servomechanism to wrap a first portion of a blank about the mandrel, a second lift mechanism operatively coupled to a second servomechanism to wrap a second portion of the blank about the mandrel, and a folding arm coupled to the first lift mechanism and operatively coupled to a third servomechanism. A control system is in communication with the first servomechanism, the second servomechanism, and the third servomechanism and is configured to transmit a signal to each of the servomechanisms to independently control movement of the first lift mechanism, the second lift mechanism, and the folding arm to wrap at least the first and second portions of the blank about the mandrel to form the container.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A PAPER CONTAINER AND RELATED METHODS AND MATERIALS
Processes, assemblies, and sleeve blanks for forming a two-piece paper container are provided in which the sleeve blank includes an adhesive printed onto the sleeve blank while the sleeve blank is still part of the paper web. The adhesive can optionally be printed onto the sleeve blank in-line with printing a graphic on the sleeve blank prior to providing the sleeve blank to a container forming machine that wraps and seals the sleeve blank to a bottom blank.

Method of aligning an upper and a lower changeable tool, and device for processing workpiece sheets
In a method of aligning an upper and a lower changeable tool (2, 10, 18) in a device for processing, e.g., sheets of paper, provision is made that with the aid of at least one digital camera (50, 51), the upper changeable tool (2) is aligned with a sheet that has been moved in and the lower changeable tool (18) is aligned relative to the upper changeable tool (2) after the sheet has been moved out.
Method and device for forming package bodies open at one end from package sleeves open at both ends
The invention relates to a method for forming package bodies open at one end from package sleeves open at both ends for the manufacture of filled packages. In order to allow packages with a cross section which is neither square nor rectangular to be formed more simply and reliably, the package sleeves are kept ready for further processing in a stack, folded flat along at least two folded edges running in the longitudinal direction of the package sleeve, the flat-folded package sleeves are transferred in succession from the stack to a forming station, the package sleeves are unfolded in a forming station and the unfolded package sleeves are, in the forming station, pushed onto a mandrel in order to close, in particular seal, a longitudinal end of the package sleeve.

Device and method for removing a box from a chuck
The present invention relates to a device for removing a box or box part with a polygonal section from a chuck (51) comprising an upper face (511), an application face (510) interconnected by lateral faces and an end face (514), a chuck whereon the box has been previously formed from a blank (1). It comprises a plate (64) comprising first gripping means and translatably movable between a deployed position wherein the plate is near the end face (514) of the chuck whereon the lateral flaps (16a to 16d) are intended to be folded and folded position wherein the plate (64) is away from the chuck (51). The chuck (51) itself is movable between a first forming position wherein the outer cross-section thereof corresponds to the inner cross-section of the box or box part and a second retracted position wherein the outer cross-section thereof is smaller than the inner cross-section of the box or box part.
