Method and machine for forming cardboard boxes by gluing, computer program, and computer-readable device that has stored said program

A method to form cardboard boxes by gluing into a box-forming machine from sheets, said machine, a computer program with instructions for said machine to execute said method, and a computer-readable device that has stored said computer program. In this method, a stage of the movement of inserting a pintle into a mold starts with a controlling element when the position of a drag element of sheet to a delivery position, where you place a sheet aligned between said pintle and mold, it corresponds to a second intermediate position between a source position and said delivery position; and a stage of activation of a supplying actuator starts with a controlling element to supply a sheet subsequent to the source position, when the position of said drag element corresponds to a third intermediate position between said source position and said second position.

MULTIPLE-MODE CASE ERECTOR

A case erector may operate in multiple modes. In a slotted-case mode, the case erector may accept and erect slotted cases, while various plunger-case erection components are deactivated. A packaging for modified atmosphere packaging includes a flangeless cardboard tray having a bottom and an upstanding peripheral wall. A plastic flange is arranged on top of the edge of the peripheral wall. The plastic flange has in cross-section a first part extending horizontally, substantially parallel to the bottom of the tray, a second part depending from the first part downward along the outside of the peripheral wall and a third part depending from the first part, opposite of the second part, along the inside of the peripheral wall. A plastic barrier foil is adhered to and lines the inside of the cardboard tray and extends over the plastic flange to fix the plastic flange onto the flangeless cardboard tray.

Methods And Systems For Forming Trays

A method of forming a tray includes obtaining a blank, the blank having a plurality of panels and a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels. The method further includes positioning the blank in a blank feeder assembly of a system for forming a tray, moving the blank to a tray forming assembly, the tray forming assembly including a tray forming assembly, the tray forming assembly including a turret assembly comprising a plurality of female tray forming members, the tray forming assembly further comprising a piston assembly including a male forming member, positioning the blank between the turret assembly and the piston assembly, and moving the piston assembly into at least partial engagement with the turret assembly to form a tray from the blank.

Paper-based composite container for off-gassing products, and method for making same
11760528 · 2023-09-19 · ·

A paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal to establish fluid communication between an interior of the container and the environment outside the container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.
