A singularizing drum is positioned to rotate with a portion of the singularizing drum exposed to the interior of the hopper. The singularizing drum includes at least one groove in an outer surface of the singularizing drum. A positioning drum positioned to rotate adjacent to the singularizing drum. The positioning drum includes at least one groove in an outer surface of the positioning drum. The singularizing drum and the positioning drum rotate in coordination to pass a needle from the at least one groove of the singularizing drum to the at least one groove of the positioning drum.

Positioning cartridge for electrode

A positioning cartridge is disclosed for use during manufacture of an electrode. The positioning cartridge may have a plurality of positioning inserts, each with proximal and distal ends, and a scaffold secured to the proximal ends of each positioning insert. The scaffold may be configured to place the positioning inserts in a defined orientation with respect to each other that corresponds to a plurality of longitudinal bores of the electrode. An electrode may be manufactured using the positioning cartridge. The positioning cartridge may have a plurality of components, such that at least one component is associated with each positioning insert. The plurality of components may be temperature sensors. The positioning cartridge may be configured to position each temperature sensor at a location adjacent an outer surface of the electrode.

Intravascular blood pumps and methods of use and manufacture

Devices for moving blood within a patient, and methods of doing so. The devices can include a pump portion that includes an impeller and a housing around the impeller, as well as a fluid lumen. The impeller can be activated to cause rotation of the impeller and thereby move fluid within the fluid lumen.

A Method Of Inserting A Lubricant Free Stopper Into A Lubricant Free Barrel Or A Lubricant Free Cartridge Tube And A System For Assembling Same
20220016351 · 2022-01-20 ·

A method of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free syringe barrel or lubricant free cartridge tube is disclosed. The method includes (1) inserting a stopper with a sealing rib into a placement region, (2) lowering the body of the insertion tube into a syringe barrel or cartridge tube to a position located past the barrel flange or top of the cartridge tube, (3) maneuvering the stopper to a distal opening of the insertion tube using an insertion pin, (4) retracting the insertion tube while the stopper remains in a fixed position within the syringe barrel or cartridge tube, and (5) fully retracting the insertion pin and the insertion tube from the syringe barrel or cartridge tube. The method is lubricant free or substantially lubricant free. The insertion tube may be electropolished and/or extrude honed.

Microstructured nozzle and production thereof

The invention relates to a nozzle for use in a device for administering a liquid medical formulation, to a method for producing the nozzle in the form of a microfluidic component and to a tool for producing microstructures of the microfluidic component. The nozzle is formed by a plastics plate with groove-like microstructures which are covered by a plastics cover on the longitudinal side in a fixed manner. The production method includes a moulding process in which a moulding tool is used, which moulding tool has complementary metal microstructures which have been produced from a semiconductor material in an electrodeposition process by means of a master component.

PROCESS FOR ASSEMBLING A PROTECTIVE SHEATH ON A DRUG-COATED BALLOON CATHETER
20220001152 · 2022-01-06 ·

A process for arranging a protective sheath on a drug-coated balloon catheter in a machine. The protective sheath is transported via a transport system into a holding device. A drug coated area of the balloon catheter from contact with the machine. The protective sheath is arranged on a drug-coated area of the balloon catheter by machine relative motion between the balloon catheter and the protective sheath. The protecting can be placing at least one first and one second flexible film between the balloon catheter and a guide of the machine during the relative motion or can be holding the balloon catheter at a position on the catheter away from the drug-coated area during the relative motion.

Thermoformed mask

Respiratory masks made of thermoformed EVA foam are provided. A mask can include a seal that contacts a user's face in use and a housing permanently joined to the seal. Both the seal and housing can be made of EVA foam. The seal and housing can be made of EVA foam having different densities. The mask can further include a frame removably or permanently coupled the housing. Headgear can be coupled to the frame and can couple the mask to the user's face in use.
