REMOTE RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEVICE MANAGEMENT
A system and method for updating patient devices is disclosed. The patient devices may include respiratory therapy devices that operate in accordance with instruction sets, such as software or firmware. A server may maintain a database of configuration data indicating the versions of the software and firmware that is currently installed on the patient devices. The server may also transmit updated instructions from over a network, including a wireless network. Particular patient devices may be selected for updating based on the configuration data. Upon performing an update a patient device may transmit configuration data to the server.
Endotracheal tube system and method for maintaining airway patency
An endotracheal tube airway patency system and method are provided. The system includes an endotracheal tube having a tube body having a proximal end, a distal end, an inner surface, a distal opening disposed at the distal end of the tube body, a proximal opening disposed at the proximal end of the tube body, and an airflow-effacing surface disposed within the tube body. The airflow-effacing surface includes a telescoping inner sleeve configured to be removed from the endotracheal tube body. The system further includes a tool for removal of the telescoping internal sleeve from the endotracheal tube body. The tool includes an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end; a handle located at the proximal end of the elongated body; and at least one extension member disposed at the distal end of the elongated body. The at least one extension member is configured to couple to the telescoping internal sleeve for removal of the telescoping internal sleeve from the endotracheal tube body.
LOADING TOOLS FOR USE WITH A MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device may be a loading tool including a tubular member having a lumen extending therethrough. The tubular member may include a distal portion and a proximal portion. The proximal portion of the tubular member may include a flexible member. The flexible member may be axially and radially adjustable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The distal portion of the tubular member may be configured to engage a valve, and the valve may be in communication with a lumen of an elongated medical device.
Catheter Associated Apparatus and Methods of Making and Using Same
An apparatus comprising: (a) a hub assembly engaged by a podium in a manner which restricts rotation of said hub assembly with respect to said podium to a defined angle of rotation; (b) a swivel installed within said hub assembly in a manner which permits rotation of said swivel with respect to said hub assembly; and (c) a blade installed on an outer surface of said swivel, a cutting edge of said blade facing an inner wall of said hub assembly.
Pen-type drug injection device and electronic add-on monitoring module for|monitoring and logging dose setting and administration
A supplemental device for attachment to an injection device, the supplemental device is presented having a processor arrangement; and a quantity determiner for determining a quantity of medicament that has been delivered, wherein the quantity determiner has a sensor arranged to detect movement of a drive screw of the injection device during medicament delivery.
Supplemental Device for Attachment to an Injection Device
A supplemental device for attachment to an injection device, the supplemental device comprising: a housing; an electromechanical switch arrangement having an open state and a closed state, the electromechanical switch arrangement comprising a protrusion configured to contact a surface of the injection device while the supplemental device is attached to the injection device; a dose dialled detector operable to detect a dose of medicament dialled into the attached injection device; and a processor arrangement configured to: monitor the detected dose of medicament dialled into the attached injection device; detect a change in the state of the electromechanical switch arrangement; and change a display output of the supplemental device when a change in the state of the electromechanical switch arrangement is detected while a zero dose is dialled into the attached injection device.
AID TO BE APPLIED TO NEEDLELESS SYRINGE, NEEDLELESS SYRINGE PROVIDED WITH AID, AND INTRADERMAL INJECTION METHOD
An aid of a jet injector includes a first pinching piece and a second pinching piece that face each other, and pinches a skin in a state of holding the skin with pinching surfaces facing each other and thus forms a fold shape part where the skin is raised in a fold shape; and a reception portion that is provided in the first pinching piece, exposes a fold top part vicinity region, which is a region in a vicinity of a fold top part, in the fold shape part, and can receive the nozzle portion of the jet injector.
WIRE LOCK FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
A pull wire assembly for a steerable medical device can include wire lock and a wire. The wire lock includes a spool body having first and ends and first and second rims respectively around the first and second ends. A through-hole extends diametrically through the spool body. The wire enters through a distal end of the through-hole, emerges through a proximal end of the through-hole, wraps around an exterior of the spool body, re-enters into the distal end of the through-hole, and re-emerges through the proximal end of the through-hole. The wire may make multiple such passes. The wire may also be tensioned to at least partially embed into the surface of the spool body.
Peritoneal dialysis system and methods
Described herein are systems and methods for performing peritoneal dialysis. According to one aspect, the disclosure provides a sterile interface connection for connecting a water purification system to a disposable source of dialysate concentrates. The sterile interface connection can include a chamber comprising an inlet adapted to be connected to the water purification system on a proximal end and a valve on a distal end. The sterile interface connection can also include spring-loaded needle disposed in the chamber. The spring-loaded needle can move between a retracted configuration in which the spring-loaded needle is fully retracted into the chamber and the valve is closed and sealed, and an extended configuration in which the spring-loaded needle extends through the valve into the disposable source of dialysate concentrates.
Parallel path puncture device guide
A puncture device guide includes a body member configured to fixedly attach to an ultrasound probe, a slide member slidingly received within the body member; and a cradle member slidingly received within the slide member and longitudinally fixed relative to the body member. The cradle member is configured to receive a puncture device therein. Longitudinal movement of the slide member causes radial movement of the cradle member relative to the body member.
