Embossing device with embossing roller storage unit
An embossing device (1) includes an embossing area in which are arranged at least: a first embossing roller (5); a second embossing roller (7;9); a first pressure roller (11) co-acting with the first embossing roller; and a second pressure roller (15) co-acting with the second embossing roller. The embossing device further includes a storage unit (51) configured for containing spare embossing rollers (55, 57, 59), for replacing one or the other of the embossing rollers (5, 7) in the embossing area. The storage unit (51) develops substantially vertically, with mutually superposed seats (53) for receiving embossing rollers (55, 57, 59, 5, 7).
EMBOSSED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCT
Disclosed are multi-ply embossed tissue products having improved softness, strength, embossment clarity and/or embossment height compared to prior art embossed tissue products. The multi-ply tissue products may comprise an embossed tissue ply having a basis weight less than about 25 grams per square meter (gsm) and relatively deep embossments, such as an embossment height from about 500 to about 1,000 gm and relatively narrow bottom portions compared to top portions. The combination of these elements provides an aesthetically pleasing and well-defined embossment, while improving important tissue product properties such as sheet and roll bulk and softness.
DEVICE FOR MICRO-EMBOSSING OF PAPER AND PAPER PROCESSING LINE COMPRISING SAID DEVICE
A device for micro-embossing paper includes at least one micro-embossing unit to micro-emboss a wet paper ply. The micro-embossing unit includes a micro-embossing cylinder and a counter cylinder facing the micro-embossing cylinder at an embossing area where the wet paper ply is subjected to micro-embossing, and a heater to dry the wet paper ply. The micro-embossing cylinder includes a side surface partially wrapped by the wet paper ply. The heater heats at least one portion of the side surface partially wrapped by the wet paper ply to dry the wet paper ply.
EMBOSSING APPARATUS AND EMBOSSING METHOD
An embossing apparatus which forms an emboss pattern on a sheet-type workpiece using a template sheet with the emboss pattern cut out therefrom, the embossing apparatus comprising: a mounting unit on which both a cutter member for cutting and an embossing pen for embossing are mounted simultaneously or one of the cutter member and the embossing pen is mounted alternatively; a holding member configured to hold the template sheet and the workpiece; a transfer mechanism configured to move the holding member and the mounting unit relative to each other; and a controller configured to control the transfer mechanism, the controller being configured to control the embossing apparatus to: specify the emboss pattern, cut the specified emboss pattern out of the template sheet held by the holding member using the cutter member mounted on the mounting unit by controlling the transfer mechanism, and press part of the workpiece which corresponds to a cutting region cut out, using the embossing pen mounted on the mounting unit by controlling the transfer mechanism, the workpiece being placed on the template sheet held by the holding member.
Method And Apparatus for Changing Rolls on an Embosser/Laminator Machine
An embosser/laminator machine has an adhesive unit releasably connectable with a main frame structure of the machine, and a roll extractor configured to move a roll between the main frame structure and an exchange position between the main frame structure and the adhesive unit when the adhesive unit is spaced from the main frame structure during removal and installation of the roll. The sub-frame comprising the adhesive unit may be formed with a bearing cap that cooperates with the main frame structure such that when the adhesive unit is connected with the main frame structure, the roll is operatively secured to the machine between main frame structure and the sub-frame of the adhesive unit for normal operation of the machine. When the sub-frame comprising the adhesive unit is released and spaced from main frame structure, the roll may be removed from and installed into the main frame structure.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE SHEET
A method for manufacturing a composite sheet includes a first step of, in a state that a curved part of a first sheet whose one surface rises and whose another surface is recessed and that a second sheet is overlaid on the first sheet, revolving a first roller to convey the first sheet and the second sheet; a second step of passing the sheets between the first roller and a second roller revolving so that a pressing part protruding outward in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the second roller is inserted into the recess of the first roller; forming, in a region within the second sheet opposing the curved part, a protruding part which is surrounded by a flat part; and a third step of joining a boundary part of the first sheet to the second sheet.
Embossing device and method
An embossing device (1) includes three embossing rollers (5, 7, 9), each co-acting with a pressure roller (11, 15, 19), to emboss a plurality of paper plies (V1, V2, V3). Two embossing rollers can be easily interchanged to switch from a nested configuration to a tip-to-tip configuration, or to switch from one type of pattern to another. A lamination roller and a glue dispenser are arranged around one of the embossing rollers.
Embossed multilayered cellulose product and means for the production thereof
The cellulose product comprises at least a first ply of embossed cellulose material and a second ply of embossed cellulose material, glued together. The first ply comprises: a first series of embossing protuberances with a first height (H1) and a top surface to which a glue is applied which bonds the first ply and the second ply to one another; a second series of micro-embossing protuberances with a second height (H2) lower than the first height (H1); a third series of micro-embossing protuberances with a third height (H3) lower than the second height (H2). The protuberances of the first series are distributed over areas of the first ply, where the micro-embossing protuberances of the second series and the micro-embossing protuberances of the third series are absent.
