Coextruded, crosslinked multilayer polyolefin foam structures from recycled metallized polyolefin material and methods of making the same
A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
RECYCLED RUBBER BACKED CUSHIONED VINYL
A laminated surface covering including a facing material made of vinyl and a backing material comprising a rubber component. The rubber component comprising at least a matrix of bonded rubber granules. A bonding material disposed between the facing material and the backing material. The facing material configured to melt at a temperature between 165° F. and 248° F. infiltrating the backing material thereby essentially encasing the rubber granules of the matrix and providing fire retardation and smoke suppression qualities.
CERAMIC-CONTAINING AND CERAMIC COMPOSITE TRANSACTION CARDS
A transaction card includes a monolithic ceramic card body having one or more pockets, and at least one of a magnetic stripe, a barcode, and a laser signature portion. The one or more pockets may be configured to receive at least one of the magnetic stripe, the barcode, a contact chip module, a contactless chip module, a dual interface chip module, a booster antenna, a hologram or commercial indicia. A transaction card may also include a substrate layer having a first side and a second side. A first ceramic layer is connected to the first side of the substrate layer.
EPIDERMIS MATERIAL FOR VEHICLE SEAT
A cover material for a vehicle seat provides favorable touch while utilizing the texture of a leather material. A cover material for a vehicle seat includes: a leather portion made of natural leather or artificial leather; and a mesh fabric portion bonded to the back side of the leather portion.
Anti-slip coverings for surfaces
Anti-slip coverings for underlying surfaces are shown and described. The anti-slip coverings include a layer made of a semi-flexible material that is configured to receive contact from an object and has slits at least partially extended through the layer. The layer includes a cut-out pattern comprised of a plurality of cut outs cooperatively aligned with the slits to enable the slits to at least partially open when one or more of a downward force and a horizontal force is applied by the object onto the anti-slip covering. In some examples, the anti-slip covering includes a second layer disposed between the first layer and the underlying surface to allow compression of the first layer when a downward force is applied on the anti-slip covering.
Decoration article having clear layer and method of forming the same
A decoration article having a clear layer includes a rod-shaped core material, a cylindrical decorative cover having a shape retaining property, configured to cover the core material over an entire circumference in a sectional circumferential direction of the core material, including a plurality of split members split along the sectional circumferential direction of the core material and having a base part and a decoration layer provided on a surface of the base part, and a transparent clear layer formed by a mold forming so as to cover an outer surface of the decoration layer over an entire circumference in a sectional circumferential direction of the decoration cover covering the core material.
INTERIOR TRIM PART OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to an interior trim part of a motor vehicle, which includes a support layer (10), a cover layer (14) on a front side of the support layer and an illumination unit (16-26) on an opposite rear side of the support layer. The support layer includes a perforation (12), which forms an illuminated structure when the illumination unit emits light through the perforation.
LAMINATING PROCESS EMPLOYING GRID-LIKE ADHESIVE APPLICATION
The present invention relates to a process for laminating components with sheets, in which an adhesive is applied to the surface of the laminating sheet and/or of the component in a grid-like manner, so that, after the sheet and the component are joined, the adhesive is arranged between the sheet and the component, and the regions between the applied adhesive form a channel system that enables the removal of the air that is present between the component and the sheet. The invention further relates to a laminated molded part obtainable by the above-outlined process. The use of an adhesive grid provided between a component and a laminating sheet results in a reduction or prevention of air inclusions when the component is laminated with a laminating sheet.
SYSTEMS AND APPARATUS FOR HOUSING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS AND METHODS THEREOF
A structure for housing electronic components. The structure includes a first layer and a second layer. One or more layers may each have a modulus of elasticity of less than 2.41 MPa. One or more layers may be at least partially affixed to form a combined layer. The combined layer may have a combined modulus of elasticity of less than 2300 MPa. The combined layer may be transparent to electromagnetic waves. The combined layer may be not electrically conductive across an entire surface area of the combined layer. The combined layer may be polycarbonate free. An outermost layer may be a textile layer.
Engineered Plank and Its Manufacturing Method
A plank is described and a method for manufacturing the plank. The plank can be produced by mixing polyvinyl chloride powder, coarse whiting and light calcium compound powder, stabilizer, polyethylene wax, internal lubricant, plasticizer, and impact modifier together, and stirring this mixture. The mixture is then extruded through an extruder compound to form a plastic composite base material. A surface layer is then tiled onto the plastic composite base material using thermal compression, without the use of intermediate adhesive materials. The surface layer can be embossed when it is combined with the mixture being extruded.
