Method of joining polymeric biomaterials
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of joining objects of hydrophilic polymeric biomaterials. In the method, an ionic liquid is applied onto the surfaces of the objects; the surfaces are pressed together; and the ionic liquid is removed. The method produces a product that can consist to 100% of biomaterial, with no synthetic polymer or chemicals remaining in the product.
Decorative sheet and decorative plate
A decorative sheet in which squashing of an embossed shape is suppressed when bonded to an adherend, even when an embossed shape is deeply formed to improve the designability and texture of the decorative plate. More specifically, a decorative sheet having a laminate sequentially including a base material sheet, a transparent resin layer, and a surface-protecting layer in the thickness direction, wherein (1) the decorative sheet has an embossed projection and depression pattern on the surface-protecting layer side, (2) the projections of the embossed projection and depression pattern are rising portions successively connected to the depressions, and are projected from a reference plane, the reference plane being a portion of the surface of the surface-protecting layer without the embossed projection and depression pattern, and (3) the surface of the surface-protecting layer has a maximum profile peak height Rp specified in JIS B0601 (2001) of 30 μm or more.
Bamboo Unit
The invention relates to a bamboo unit (1) comprising at least one bamboo element (2), wherein the bamboo element (2) can be produced from several bamboo parts (3), wherein the bamboo parts (3) can be arranged next to each other in at least one plane, and wherein the individual bamboo parts (3) are connected to each other in a force- and/or form-locking manner.
TRANSPARENT RESIN FILM, DECORATIVE BOARD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE BOARD
The present invention provides a transparent resin film which enables visual check of the adhesion state after lamination of the transparent resin film on a picture layer provided on a substrate, a decorative board including the transparent resin film, and a method for producing the decorative board. Provided is a transparent resin film for protecting a picture layer provided on one side of a substrate, the transparent resin film including at least: a thermoplastic resin layer; and an external haze layer on a picture layer side.
LAYERED COMPOSITE ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Described is a method of making a densified fiber batt that includes the steps of: a) providing a fiber batt with a first plurality of fibers having a first melting point and a second plurality of fibers having a second melting point different from the first melting point; and b) subjecting the fiber batt to heat and pressure in a static press, thereby forming a densified fiber batt having a first surface and an opposed second surface.
Floor Panel and Method of Manufacturing a Floor Panel
A panel suitable for constructing a floor or wall covering includes a core comprising a mineral composite comprising a mineral and a filler. The panel further comprises an additive within the core in order to improve the flexibility and/or tensile strength of the panel.
Decorative sheet and decorative material using same
Provided is a decorative sheet comprising a base material layer, a transparent resin layer and a surface protection layer in the presented order, wherein at least one of the base material layer and the transparent resin layer is constituted by a resin composition comprising a resin having an ultraviolet absorption wavelength at least at 270 to 300 nm; absorbance All of the surface protection layer at wavelengths from 270 to 300 nm is 0.6 or more; and absorbance A.sub.12 of the transparent resin layer and the surface protection layer at wavelengths from 270 to 300 nm is 2.7 or more, and wherein the decorative sheet can suppress time-dependent degradation caused by ultraviolet ray, and has excellent weather resistance. Also provided is a decorative material obtained using the decorative sheet.
Flame retardant clear coatings for building panels
Described herein is a barrier coating composition comprising an organic blend comprising a first component and a second component, the first component comprising latex polymer and the second component being selected from polyurethane emulsion, wax emulsion, and alkyd emulsion, wherein the first component and the second component are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 2:1 to about 20:1, and the latex polymer has a glass transition temperature of less than about 18° C.
DECORATIVE SHEET AND DECORATIVE PLATE
The present invention provides a decorative sheet with excellent flame retardance and high sharpness such that patterns are clearly visible and discoloration is suppressed. The present invention provides a decorative sheet characterized by comprising one or more thermoplastic resin layers selected from the group consisting of a transparent resin layer, a base material sheet, and a synthetic-resin backer layer, wherein (1) at least one of the thermoplastic resin layers contains a metal phosphinate-based flame retardant; and (2) the transparent resin layer and the base material sheet contain at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin-based resins and polyester-based resins.
LAMINATED DOOR CORE FOR USE IN FIRE RATED DOORS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A laminated door core for use in fire rated doors includes a center layer having a first side and an opposing second side, where the center layer comprises fire rated particleboard. The laminated door core also includes a first layer comprising calcium silicate adhered to the first side of the center layer, a second layer comprising calcium silicate adhered to the second side of the center layer, a first layer of high-density fiberboard adhered over the first layer of calcium silicate, and a second layer of high-density fiberboard adhered over the second layer of calcium silicate. A vertical stile may be positioned along each opposing longitudinal edge of the laminated door core, and a horizontal rail may be positioned along each of a top end and a bottom end of the laminated door core.
