CONTACT LAYER WITH A SOLID FILLER COMPONENT
A contact layer used in waterproofing and roofing applications. The contact layer includes a solid filler component F and a thermoplastic polymer component P. Also directed to a method for producing the contact layer, to a method for binding two substrates to each other, to a method for waterproofing a substrate, to a waterproofed structure, to a method for sealing a surface against water penetration, to a sealed construction for sealing a substrate against water penetration and to use of the contact layer as waterproofing membrane.
Multipurpose blast, ballistic resistance, thermal and noise insulation non-metallic wall panels
A method includes providing a plurality of prefabricated parts for assembly, where the plurality of prefabricated parts comprises one or more rubber mats and a central core. The method also includes preparing one or more external surfaces of the central core, applying a sealer to the one or more external surfaces of the central core, applying a bonding agent primer and a top coat to the one or more external surfaces of the central core, and pressing the one or more rubber mats to the one or more external surfaces of the central core. The method further includes applying a constant pressure to the one or more rubber mats and the central core, where a combination of the one or more rubber mats and the central core forms a blast and ballistic resistance wall.
METHOD OF MAKING AN ENHANCED MEMBRANE FOR SINGLE-PLY ROOFING
A method of making an enhanced membrane suitable for use in single-ply roofing applications is disclosed. The method comprises mixing a masterbatch comprising an EPDM rubber and combining the masterbatch with a curing package to form a final batch. An adhesion promoter is incorporated in either the masterbatch or the final batch. The method further includes forming a sheet from the final batch and vulcanizing the sheet.
Facilitated Detailing for Pre-Applied Waterproofing Membranes
The invention provides a waterproofing membrane which does not require a removable release sheet but which nevertheless bonds to post-cast concrete and facilitates water-tight sealing at membrane-to-membrane overlaps. The waterproofing membrane comprises a carrier and pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) layers, an inorganic particle layer having particulate bodies which are partially embedded in the PSA and which have an average particle size less than the average thickness of the PSA layer, and an anti-submarining nano-silica-containing coating layer attached to un-embedded portions of the inorganic particles to prevent total embedding into the PSA when the membrane is rolled or unrolled, whereby water-tight seams are facilitated between overlapped portions of adjacently installed waterproofing membranes, and whereby the water-tight seam is achieved preferably using only detailing or waterproofing tape and without the additional use of a liquid primer, mastic, or other coating.
BONDING ADHESIVE AND ADHERED ROOFING SYSTEMS PREPARED USING THE SAME
A bond adhesive composition comprising a polymer having a silicon-containing hydrolyzable terminal group and a hydrocarbon resin, where the composition is substantially devoid of phenolic resin.
SOUND ATTENUATING BUILDING PANELS
An acoustical ceiling panel including a first layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, a second layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, and a sealing layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween. The sealing layer may be positioned between the first major surface of the first layer and the second major surface of the second layer. The side surface of the sealing layer may extend beyond the side surface of the first layer and the side surface of the second layer.
Rubber part for incorporation into a brick or masonry wall in a reinforced concrete frame to protect against damage caused by seismic activity
A rubber part for use as a structural component for incorporation into a brick or masonry wall structure in a reinforced concrete frame, to be located within the plane of the wall, has a length x and a stiffness along its length of S.sub.x, a width y and a stiffness across its width of S.sub.y, and a thickness z and a stiffness across its thickness of S.sub.z, the stiffness of the part being anisotropic with S.sub.y>S.sub.x. The part is adapted such that, when in use, it is capable of controlling vibrations of the wall caused by seismic activity and also of having a damping effect thereby increasing the energy dissipation capacity of the structure. The rubber part is preferably in the form of a sheet and can be laminated on one or both major surfaces. The two major surfaces of the sheet may be contoured, for instance being corrugated across its width.
Acoustical gypsum wallboard
This invention provides acoustical building panels and methods for imparting the acoustical property to wallboard with help of a compliant coating.
MOLDED COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MOLDING THE COMPOSITE STRUCTURE
A thermoset structural laminate is provided. The thermoset structural laminate includes a fiber-reinforced layer having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, and a cementitious composite layer having a third side and an fourth side opposite the third side. The second side of the fiber-reinforced layer is molded on or over the third side of the cementitious composite layer.
ACOUSTICAL GYPSUM WALLBOARD
This invention provides acoustical building panels and methods for imparting the acoustical property to wallboard with help of a compliant coating.
