Method to produce a coating layer, a building panel and a coated foil
The present disclosure relates to a method to produce a coating layer, including applying a coating composition on a surface of a carrier, curing the coating composition to a coating layer, and subsequently applying pressure to the coating layer. The disclosure further relates to a method to produce a building panel, and such a building panel, and to a method to produce a coated foil, and such a coated foil.
METHOD TO PRODUCE A VENEER ELEMENT AND A VENEER ELEMENT
A method to produce a veneer element, including defects and dense portions. The method includes providing a substrate, providing a sub-layer, including a binder and colored filler particles, applying the sub-layer on a first surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure, preferably heat and pressure, to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, thereby forming a veneer element wherein, after pressing, the sub-layer is visible through a defect of the veneer element such as crack, cavity, hole and/or knot of the veneer layer. Also, a veneer element.
MULTI-MATERIAL SKATEBOARD DECK
A skateboard deck with multiple layers constructed from multiple materials is disclosed. Embodiments for design and manufacture are disclosed.
ASYMMETRIC FUNCTIONAL PANEL
The invention relates to a functional panel for receiving surface loads comprising a plurality of veneer layers that are arranged one on top of another and are connected together in a materially bonded manner, wherein a part of these veneer layers has an A-fibre direction, and another part of these veneer layers has a B-fibre direction oriented at more or less 90° to the A-fibre direction. The functional panel has a central plane defined substantially in the middle of the functional panel in the in the thickness direction. The cumulative thickness of the veneer layers with the A-fibre direction differs from the cumulative thickness of the veneer layers with the B-fibre direction on a first side of the central plane, and the cumulative thickness of the veneer layers with the A-fibre direction differs from the cumulative thickness of the veneer layers with the B-fibre direction on the second side located on the opposite from the first side of the central plane. As a result, the functional panel has an asymmetric structure in its thickness direction. The invention also relates to the use of a functional panel as a formwork shell for the formwork of a building part, and a method for producing the formwork of a building part with at least one functional panel.
Adhesive bonding composition and method of use
A method of and system for adhesive bonding by a) providing a polymerizable adhesive composition on a surface of an element to be bonded to form an assembly; b) irradiating the assembly with radiation at a first wavelength capable of vulcanization of bonds in the polymerizable adhesive composition by activation of sulfur-containing compound with at least one selected from x-ray, e-beam, visible, or infrared light to thereby generate ultraviolet light in the polymerizable adhesive composition; and c) adhesively joining two or more components together by way of the polymerizable adhesive composition, and a curable polymer for use therein.
FIRE-RATED STRUCTURAL OSB PANELS WITH OVERLAID WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
A wood or engineered wood structural panel, such as, but not limited to, OSB (“oriented strand board”) or plywood, that is both fire-resistant and water resistant. The panel is factory-coated with a product that provides fire resistance. The treatment gives it a Fire-Resistant (FR) performance (for use in a one- or two-hour rated assembly). The panel also is overlaid or coated in a factory setting with a weather/water resistive barrier (WRB). The structural panel thus combines a fire-resistant structural sheathing and WRB product in one integrated panel produced at a factory prior for installation at a job site.
REFORMABLE EPOXY RESIN FOR COMPOSITES AND METHODS THEREOF
The present invention contemplates a method for forming a composite structure including a plurality of rigid layers and one or more reformable epoxy resin layers. The resulting composite is molded to form a non-planar composite structure.
Compounds containing cyclic structural elements, urethane/ureido linkages and a free radical-polymerizable functional group
Compounds useful for formulating inks, 3D printing resins, molding resins, coatings, sealants and adhesives which exhibit reduced shrinkage stress and high hardness and stiffness when cured are described which include a single free radical-polymerizable functional group, one or more urethane and/or ureido linkages and one or more cyclic structural elements per molecule.
WATERBORNE TWO-PART ADHESIVES AND USE THEREOF
A waterborne, two-part adhesive composition having improved wet tack properties is disclosed. The two-part adhesive composition is particularly suitable for making laminates, including paperboard products.
