The curable composition includes a cationically curable silicone resin and a leveling agent. The cationically curable silicone resin includes a silsesquioxane unit. The cationically curable silicone resin includes an epoxy-containing monomeric unit in a proportion of 50 mole percent or more of the totality of all monomeric units and has a number-average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000.

An adhesive skin patch with a support liner comprises at least a strip drug product and a release liner longer than the drug product. The support liner includes a backing film and an adhesive layer; the drug product is quadrilateral with two long sides being straight in parallel and two short sides each elliptical arcs convex outward; a longest interval between the two short sides is 20.0 mm or more and 50.0 mm or less, and an interval between the two long sides is 5.0 mm or more and 37.5 mm or less; and the elliptical arc has: an ellipse major axis of 20.0 mm or more and 50.0 mm or less, an ellipse minor axis of 14.8 mm or more and less than 50.0 mm, and the minor axis of at least 2.0 mm wider than the interval of the two long sides.

Herein is described a method of applying foil from a foil web to a substrate. The method may comprise: ink-jet printing a UV-curable adhesive onto the substrate in a predetermined image area; subjecting the adhesive to a first curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage range of 140-170 mJ/cm.sup.2; passing the substrate and a foil web through a nip where the foil web is pressed against the adhesive; subjecting the adhesive disposed between the substrate and the foil web to a second curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage of at least 250 mJ/cm.sup.2; and separating excess foil from the substrate, to leave foil on the predetermined image area. Substrates and UV-curable adhesives are also described.

ADHESIVE ARTICLES COMPRISING POLYLACTIC ACID POLYMER FILM AND METHOD OF MAKING

A method of making an adhesive article is described comprising melt extruding a core film layer comprising a comport comprising at least 50% of a polylactic acid polymer. The method further comprises melt extruding an adhesive layer on a major surface of the core film layer such that regions of interdiffusion are present between the core film layer and adhesive layer. The adhesive layer may comprise C1-C10 (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof, vinyl acetate, ethylene vinyl acetate, hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol and combinations thereof. The adhesive layer may also be a pressure sensitive adhesive. The method further comprises melt extruding a release film layer on an opposing major surface of the core film layer. The layers are sequentially extruded or co-extruded and can be uniaxially or biaxially oriented. Articles comprising a core film layer comprising a composition comprising at least 50% of a polylactic acid polymer and an adhesive layer disposed on a major surface of the core layer are also described.
