An adhesive layer is formed by curing an adhesive composition [I] containing an acrylic resin (X), and has an adhesive strength (?) of not less than 25 N/25 mm, a bending durability (?) of not less than 100,000 times, and a moist heat haze resistance (?) of not greater than 1.0% as measured under predetermined conditions. The adhesive layer has excellent adhesive strength to adherends, excellent bending durability, and excellent moist heat haze resistance.

The present invention relates to a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, comprising a brown or dark bulk layer from non-bleached, cellulose-based material, an outside substrate layer having a white print surface to hide the dark colour of the bulk layer, and on the inside an oxygen barrier layer and an innermost heat sealable layer. The invention further relates to the method for manufacturing the laminated packaging material and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material.
LAP-FILLET ARC WELDING JOINT AND JOINT STRUCTURE FOR PRESS FORMING PARTS
A lap-fillet arc welding joint includes a weld bead, the weld bead being formed on an end portion of one sheet of overlapped two sheets and a surface of other sheet along the end portion. The other sheet includes a projecting portion projecting from the surface at a side of a weld toe of at least one of a start portion and a termination portion of the weld bead. The weld toe is located on a slope surface portion of the projecting portion at a side of the end portion of the one sheet.
FOIL PRINTING
Herein is described a method of applying foil from a foil web to a substrate. The method may comprise: ink-jet printing a UV-curable adhesive onto the substrate in a predetermined image area; subjecting the adhesive to a first curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage range of 140-170 mJ/cm.sup.2; passing the substrate and a foil web through a nip where the foil web is pressed against the adhesive; subjecting the adhesive disposed between the substrate and the foil web to a second curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage of at least 250 mJ/cm.sup.2; and separating excess foil from the substrate, to leave foil on the predetermined image area. Substrates and UV-curable adhesives are also described.

Provided is a battery packaging material that comprises a laminated body formed by sequentially stacking at least a base layer, a metal layer, and a sealant layer, and that has a thin overall thickness, and has excellent formability and piercing strength. This battery packaging material comprises a laminated body formed by sequentially stacking at least a base layer, a metal layer, and a sealant layer, with the overall thickness of the laminated body being 50-80 m, and the ratio of the sum of the thicknesses of the base layer and the metal layer with respect to the overall thickness of the laminated body being in a range of 0.380-0.630.

A disposable placemat system is provided. The disposable placemat system includes a sheet of a first material having a front surface and a back surface opposite to the front surface. The disposable placemat system includes a sheet of a second material attached to the sheet of the first material at the front surface. The first material is liquid impermeable and different from the second material. The second material is absorbent and configured to absorb a fluid used in conjunction with a medical procedure utilizing acoustic energy to monitor a subject.

A transparent electrode includes: a substrate; and a conductive metal layer on the substrate. The conductive metal layer has a thin metal wire and a plating layer. The plating layer covers the thin metal wire. The transparent electrode further includes a transparent conductive layer on a surface of the substrate on a side on which the thin metal wire is formed. The transparent conductive layer covers the substrate and the conductive metal layer. The thin metal wire is formed using a metal nanoparticle ink or a metal complex ink.

Provided are: a base member; a black-colored layer provided on the base member; and a laminate provided on the black-colored layer, the laminate having a plurality of transparent layers having different refractive indexes such that the plurality of transparent layers are layered. The refractive indexes of the transparent layers in the laminate are increased in order toward the base member.

A polyester pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is provided including a polyester resin having a predetermined amount of a structural unit derived from a hydrogenated polybutadiene structure-containing compound, or a polyester resin having a structural unit derived from a hydrogenated polybutadiene structure-containing compound and a predetermined amount of a structural unit derived from an aromatic ring structure-containing compound. The polyester pressure-sensitive adhesive composition has superior adhesion to a polyolefin base material and is highly transparency.
Composition and films comprising polylactic acid polymer and copolymer comprising long chain alkyl moiety
Compositions and films are described comprising a polylactic (PLA) polymer and a copolymer comprising a first moiety comprising a C12-C30 alkyl group and a second moiety that is miscible in the composition. Suitable first moieties include a C12-C30 alkyl (meth)acrylate or a polyvinyl alcohol comprising pendent C12-C30 alkyl groups. Suitable second moieties include C1-C10 (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof, vinyl acetate and ethylene vinyl acetate. The aforementioned composition may be used to form a release layer of an adhesive article such as a pressure sensitive adhesive tape. The films may be a monolithic film or a film layer of a multilayer film. The release layer may be disposed upon a substrate layer that may also comprise PLA. The films are produced by melt extrusion of the aforementioned composition and may be oriented.
