The shaped article according to the present invention is a shaped article including a hardcoat layer, a substrate layer, and a thermoplastic resin layer and having a curved shape. The hardcoat layer defines an outermost surface of the shaped article. The hardcoat layer includes a cure product of a curable composition. The curable composition includes a cationically curable silicone resin and a leveling agent. The cationically curable silicone resin includes a silsesquioxane unit. The cationically curable silicone resin includes an epoxy-containing monomeric unit in a proportion of 50 mole percent or more of the totality of all monomeric units and has a number-average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000.
Cellulosic articles made from cellulosic materials and methods therefor
The invention relates to systems and techniques for manufacturing articles containing cellulosic material, a coupling agent, and a binder resin, and related processes of making and using the cellulosic articles. In particularly exemplary embodiments, the manufactured articles are door skins, sometimes known as door facings, and doors made from the door skins. The article contains a lipophilic cellulosic material, a coupling agent, and a binder. The coupling agent is believed to increase the hydrophilicity (wetability) of the lipophilic cellulosic material.
SYSTEM CONSISTING OF TWO UV-CURING DRY-TRANSFER COATING LAYERS FOR THE PROTECTION OF A HOLOGRAM IN A PHOTOPOLYMER FILM COMPOSITE
The invention relates to a scaled holographic medium comprising a layer construction B-C1-C2, to a process for producing the sealed holographic medium, to a kit of parts, to a layer construction comprising a protective layer and a substrate layer and to the use thereof.
TWO-COMPONENT SOLVENTLESS ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
Two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive compositions comprising an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component are disclosed, the compositions comprising an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, and an isocyanate-reactive component comprising a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and, a bio-based polyol. Methods for forming laminate structures are also disclosed, the methods comprising forming an adhesive composition by mixing an isocyanate adhesive component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and an isocyanate-reactive adhesive component comprising a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and a bio-based polyol, applying the adhesive composition to a surface of a first substrate, and bringing a surface of a second substrate into contact with the adhesive composition on the surface of the first substrate, thereby forming the laminate structure. Laminate structures are also disclosed.
TWO-COMPONENT SOLVENTLESS ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
Two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive compositions comprising an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive are disclosed, the compositions comprising an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and an isocyanate-reactive component comprising a hydroxy-terminated polyurethane resin, a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and, optionally, a bio-based polyol. Methods for forming laminate structures are also disclosed, the methods comprising forming an adhesive composition by mixing an isocyanate adhesive component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and an isocyanate-reactive adhesive component comprising a hydroxy-terminated polyurethane resin, a polyether polyol, a phosphate ester adhesion promoter, and optionally, a bio-based polyol, applying the adhesive composition to a surface of a first substrate, and bringing a surface of a second substrate into contact with the adhesive composition on the surface of the first substrate, thereby forming the laminate structure. Laminate structures are also disclosed.
LAMINATE
An object of the present invention is to provide a laminate having a good appearance, such as surface smoothness (thickness uniformity); high surface hardness; recoatability that enables the functional layer to be provided on the hard coat layer; and a function, such as scratch resistance and stain repellency. The present invention relates to a laminate including a laminated portion constituted of two or more layers including a hard coat layer and a functional layer in contact with the hard coat layer, and a substrate in contact with the hard coat layer, the functional layer being the outermost surface of the laminate: wherein the hard coat layer is a cured product layer of a curable composition containing a polyorganosilsesquioxane and silica particles, the silica particles including a group containing a (meth)acryloyl group on the surface.
SOUNDPROOF STRUCTURE, SOUND ABSORBING PANEL, AND SOUND ADJUSTING PANEL
There are provided a soundproof structure, which can have high soundproofing performance in a wide frequency band and in which visual recognition of through-hole can be suppressed, and a sound absorbing panel and a sound adjusting panel using the soundproof structure. A sheet member having a plurality of through-holes passing therethrough in a thickness direction and a sound absorbing body disposed in contact with one main surface of the sheet member are provided. An average opening diameter of the through-holes is 0.1 m or more and less than 100 m. Assuming that the average opening diameter of the through-holes is (m) and an average opening ratio is a parameter A expressed by A=+.sup.2 is 92 or less.
TEXTURED CLEANSING ARTICLE
The present invention relates to dual textured treatment cleansing articles comprising first and second outer members forming first and second sides of the article. The first and second sides are both textured, although preferably the sides have different textures to provide the user with differing degrees of cleaning in a single cleansing article. For example, in one embodiment, the first side has coefficient of friction greater than 0.50, such as from 0.50 to about 0.75 and more preferably from about 0.55 to about 0.65, and the second side has coefficient of friction less than 0.50, such as from about 0.30 to 0.50 and more preferably from about 0.35 to about 0.45
