Building membrane with porous pressure sensitive adhesive
A breathable multilayer spun bonded polypropylene membrane having a coated pressure sensitive adhesive capable of allowing air and moisture vapor to pass through it. The adhesive is formed of a copolymer comprising a backbone of n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, and vinyl acetate which is mixed with a surfactant and emulsified to produce bubbles which form pores when the copolymer is set with about 80% to about 90% of the pore sizes ranging from about 200 microns to about 300 microns and a pore density in the cured pressure sensitive adhesive ranging from about 4200 per inch.sup.2 to about 4600 per inch.sup.2, said pores being uniformly distributed to form a flow path through the adhesive.
Electrical arrangement on an aircraft fuselage with an electrical consumer on the outside of the fuselage
An electrical arrangement on an aircraft fuselage has a fuselage component, an electrical consumer and a conductive electrical connection element. The connection element extends outwardly through an opening in the fuselage component and may have a bearing section on an inside or outside of the fuselage component that is arranged so as to tap or feed a voltage pole. The electrical connection element is electrically insulated from the opening and the fuselage component and is able to be connected to a voltage supply arranged on the inside. The electrical consumer is arranged on the outside of the fuselage component and is electrically connected to that part of the connection element projecting towards the outside of the fuselage.
CURABLE REACTIVE SILICONE COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT THEREOF AND USES OF COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT
Provided is: a curing reactive silicone composition having sufficient toughness and pressure sensitive adhesive strength to temporarily secure various substrate even in an uncured state, having heat meltability and excellent moldability of a sheet or the like, and that can be quickly cured by high energy irradiation to achieve high adhesive strength; a method of manufacturing a sheet thereof a cured product thereof that can achieve high adhesive strength by crimping; and applications thereof. The curing reactive silicone composition comprises: (A) an MQ resin; (B) a chain organopolysiloxane having at least two groups containing an aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bond, and a degree of siloxane polymerization within a range of 80 to 3000; (C) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane; and (D) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst activated by a high energy beam. The amount of component (A) is more than 55 mass % and less than 90 mass % of the sum of components (A) to (C).
METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE MATERIAL
Provided is a method for producing a decorative material, including: a preparation step of preparing sheet printed matters each including a substrate and a picture layer on one surface of the substrate and a roll of a transparent resin film having a first surface and a second surface opposing to each other, the first surface having a pattern of protrusions and depressions, the second surface having a pattern of protrusions and depressions that is shallower than the pattern of protrusions and depressions on the first surface; an application step of winding off the transparent resin film from the roll of a transparent resin film and applying an adhesive to the second surface of the transparent resin film; and a bonding step of bonding the second surface of the transparent resin film and the picture layer of each of the sheet printed matters with the adhesive.
HYDROCARBON ABSORBENT STRUCTURES
A method of manufacturing a hydrocarbon absorbent structure comprises providing a lower sheet of material and dispensing a hydrocarbon absorbent polymer mixture thereon. The polymer mixture is then preheated so as to at least partially melt the polymer mixture. An upper sheet of material is then provided onto the at least partially melted polymer mixture on the lower sheet of material. The lower sheet of material, polymer mixture and upper sheet of material are then laminated together to form a hydrocarbon absorbent laminate structure.
Adhesive dispensing system with convertible nozzle assemblies
An adhesive dispensing system for applying liquid adhesive to a substrate using different nozzles with the same manifold is disclosed. The adhesive dispensing system includes a manifold having a body, a first clamp configured to engage the body of the manifold, a second clamp configured to engage the body of the manifold, and a nozzle. The first and second clamps secure the nozzle to the body of the manifold. The body of the manifold has a first contact surface that engages the first clamp and a second contact surface that engages the second clamp and the nozzle, where the second contact surface is angularly offset from the first contact surface.
COMBINED RECEIPT AND LABEL ROLL HAVING OPTIMAL ADHESIVE PATCH PATTERNS AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A combined receipt and label roll comprises a core, and a web having a longitudinally-extending axis and wound on the core along the axis. The web includes (i) a substrate having a front side and a back side opposite the front side, (ii) a thermally-sensitive coating disposed on the front side of the substrate, and (iii) a water-based microsphere adhesive disposed on the back side of the substrate along the web axis. The water-based microsphere adhesive comprises at least four separate adhesive patches. The at least four adhesive patches are both sized relative to each other and positioned relative to each other on the back side of the substrate such that additional tack desired can be obtained by increasing volume of the adhesive patches without having to increase coat weight of the adhesive patches.
POST CONSUMER WASTE THERMAL FACE SHEET
Label assemblies and methods of manufacturing label assemblies are described. In an aspect, a label assembly includes a post-consumer waste (PCW) paper layer and a thermal coating applied at a side of the post-consumer waste paper layer. The post-consumer waste paper layer may have a fiber density that allows the thermal coating to sit on the side of the post-consumer waste paper layer while reducing absorption of the thermal coating within the post-consumer waste paper layer.
