Helmet Impact Attenuation Article

An impact attenuation system comprises an aluminum honeycomb sheet having a top surface and a bottom surface. The aluminum honeycomb sheet defines a plurality of approximately hexagonally shaped cells. The bottom surface defines a single sheet of contiguous cells and the top surface defines two or more islands of contiguous cells separated by one or more slits. At least a portion of one or both of the top surface and bottom surface may be covered by a polymer skin. The polymer skin may comprise carbon fibers and/or fiberglass.

Plaster boards having internal layers and methods for making them

Disclosed herein are plaster boards that include first and second layers of hardened plaster material, a liner attached to the first layer of hardened plaster material, and a first material (e.g., a polymer material such as a viscoelastic polymer) adhered between the liner and the second layer of hardened plaster material. The liner includes one or more structurally weakened regions each extending substantially from a first edge to a second opposing edge of the plaster board. The structurally weakened regions of the liner may facilitate creation of a fissure that propagates substantially within a plane within the plaster board. Methods for making the plaster boards may involve drying wet plaster material while it is in contact with a liner having structurally weakened regions, processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with wet plaster material, or processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with hardened plaster material.

Among other things a method including releasing a discrete component from an interim handle and depositing a discrete component on a handle substrate, attaching the handle substrate to the discrete component, and removing the handle substrate from the discrete component.

Packaging film having direct food contact identifiers and method of making thereof

Method for producing a packaging film strip for providing a number of individual packaging film parts for packing food or beverages, wherein the packaging film contains for each designated individual packaging film part an area having a printed two-dimensional code as unique packaging or product identifier. The process comprises the steps of providing at least one first substrate film strip (10, 25), applying on one side of said at least one first substrate film strip (10, 25) an artwork printing (20) for each individual packaging film part, depositing a DFC ink area (28) for each individual packaging film part onto the surface of the substrate film strip (10, 12) lying opposite to the artwork printing (20), slitting the packaging film to provide a series of individual packaging film parts running along the longside of the packaging film, ablating the individual DFC ink areas (28) by a computer-controlled laser beam (8) for providing a predetermined and individual code (2, 3, 30) as unique packaging or product identifier, cleaning the surface of the film strip comprising the individual codes (2, 3, 30), and checking the quality of the codes (2, 3, 30).

Stretchable material, a manufacturing method of a stretch material, a stretchable member, and a clothing product

A stretch material according to one embodiment is a stretch material 10 including an elastomer and having multiple discretely formed slits 15. A stretchable member includes: a stretch part having a structure in which the skin layer of the stretch material 10 is plastically deformed; and a shape retaining part by which the layer structure of the stretch material 10 is maintained. A diaper, which is one example of a clothing product, includes the stretch material 10 or the abovementioned stretchable member.

Support plate for installing tile
11149448 · 2021-10-19 · ·

A support for installing facing materials such as ceramic tiles on a substrate such as floors, walls and ceilings wherein the support plate has a plurality of spaced apart recesses in the plate material, with the recesses being open at the top surface and have solid sidewalls and a base, and a plurality of slots in the non-recessed portions of the plate material extending through the top surface and bottom surface, the slots joining one or more adjacent recesses. The support plate of the invention is used for tile installations between the substrate and such tile. Thin-set mortar that is used to secure the tile to the support plate flows into the recesses and into the slots forming a continuous bond between the mortar and the adjacent slots providing for a strong bond between the support plate, mortar and the tiles.
