A shutdown temperature of the laminated polyolefin microporous membrane is from 128° C. to 135° C., an air permeation resistance increase rate from 30° C. to 105° C. per 20 μm of thickness of the laminated polyolefin microporous membrane is less than 1.5 sec/100 cc Air/° C., and a variation range in an F25 value of the laminated polyolefin microporous membrane in a longitudinal direction is not greater than 1 MPa. The F25 value represents a value determined by dividing the load at 25% elongation of a sample of the laminated polyolefin microporous membrane as measured with a tensile tester by the cross-sectional area of the sample polyolefin microporous membrane.

LIDDING FILM FOR ASEPTIC PACKAGING

A method for providing a film lidding structure which can survive aseptic processing, the method comprising: providing a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP) film layer; laminating the HDPE or PP film layer to at least one base layer to form a lidding; adhering the at least one base layer to the rim of a container to form a lidded container; and sterilizing the lidded container using high concentration hydrogen peroxide at elevated temperature.

TOOTH WHITENING PRODUCT

A tooth whitening product comprises a multi-phase oral composition contained in a package. The multi-phase composition comprises a hydrophobic phase comprising a flavor, and a hydrophilic phase comprising a peroxide bleaching agent. The package comprises a container formed of an oxygen-permeable substrate comprising one or more layers, wherein the substrate has an oxygen transmission rate at 23° C. of at least about 5 cc/(m2*day) and the substrate is free of a barrier layer. A dispensing orifice in fluid communication with the container is covered by a cap.

POLYETHYLENE-BASED THERMALLY-SHRINKABLE MULTILAYER FILM FOR PACKAGING, AND PACKAGE AND PACKAGING METHOD THEREFOR

A polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable film for pack-in box packaging, in which: a product is not damaged due to breakage or looseness of a film during packaging and transportation of the product; because of the low-temperature shrink characteristic, the product is not exposed to excessively high heat during shrink wrapping and power consumption in a shrink tunnel can be reduced; and because of a small thickness of the film, garbage and other wastes can be reduced. The film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging obtained by biaxial orientation in MD and TD and stretching in MD only further after biaxial orientation. Preferably, the film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging in which the film as a whole has a thickness of 25 μm or less.

Barrier film laminate, method of producing the same, wavelength conversion sheet, backlight unit, and electroluminescent light-emitting unit

The present invention provides a barrier film laminate including a first barrier film that includes a first substrate layer and a first barrier layer formed on the first substrate layer, a second barrier film that includes a second substrate layer and a second barrier layer formed on the substrate layer, and an adhesive layer. In the barrier film laminate, the first barrier film is bonded with the second barrier film so that the first barrier layer faces the second barrier layer with the adhesive layer interposed therebetween. In one embodiment of the barrier film laminate, the adhesive layer is formed of an adhesive containing an epoxy resin, a curing agent having an amino group, and either a silane coupling agent having an epoxy group or a silane coupling agent having an amino group and two hydrolyzable functional groups.

FENDER FOR STRADDLED VEHICLES AND STRADDLED VEHICLE

A fender for straddled vehicles according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a base made of a crystalline resin and disposed above a wheel, and a film which is in close contact with the back side of the base facing the wheel. The hardness of the surface of the base is lower than the hardness of the interior of the base. The hardness of the film is higher than the hardness of the surface of the base.

Incrementally stretched films with tailored properties and methods for making the same

Methods of enhancing one or more physical properties of a thermoplastic film include incrementally stretching thermoplastic films in the machine direction and/or transverse direction. In one or more implementations, methods of incrementally stretching thermoplastic films include reducing the gauge of the films while maintaining or increasing a ratio of the machine direction to transverse direction resistance to tear. The methods can involve cold stretching the films and imparting rib patterns into the film. The linear ribs can have alternating thick and thin gauges.

This invention relates to inner-plies for bulk-bags that surprisingly offer not only high thermal resistance, but also high flex-crack resistance. This invention also relates to such bulk-bags made for packaging of flowable materials, aseptic or otherwise, and the process for improving their flex-crack and thermal resistance. Preferably, the packaging is aseptic. More specifically, the inner-ply of the invention comprises a resin blend comprising the Exceed® XP resin; an LDPE resin or an ethylene—α-olefin copolymer (EAO copolymer); or a blend of said LDPE resin and said EAO copolymer, with flex-crack resistance improved in both machine direction and transverse direction, in conjunction with an improved thermal resistance. Thus, in addition to possessing good flex-crack resistance, the bulk-bags can withstand steam sterilization and/or aseptic packaging conditions.
