Disclosed are a sandwich panel capable of being advantageously applied to a body wearable device, and a method of manufacturing the same. The sandwich panel includes: a core; and face sheets attached to both surfaces of the core, wherein the face sheet is made of a two-dimensional auxetic material. The core has a neutral surface in accordance with bending moment and is made of a porous material. The face sheet is made of metal, polymer, ceramic, or a composite material, and has higher density, strength, and rigidity than the core. The method includes: processing face sheets; and attaching the face sheets to both surfaces of a core, wherein the face sheet is processed to have a two-dimensional auxetic structure.

Antimicrobial Roll-Up Floor Cover
20220087462 · 2022-03-24 ·

A temporary antimicrobial roll-up floor cover includes a rugged upper layer that is impervious to water and pervious water vapor, and a lower antimicrobial wicking layer that quickly spreads water while transmitting water vapor, to facilitate evaporation of moisture that gets under the cover. The cover may also include one or more of a central layer containing a microporous membrane, a coating or film layer which may be perforated, and a stiffener lattice that resists folding, gathering and puckering without preventing the cover from rolling up. The coating layer adds additional resistance to folding, gathering and puckering without preventing the cover from rolling up. The coating may be perforated to increase water vapor transmission through the cover. One or more antimicrobial agents is incorporated into the wicking layer during extrusion of the airlaid mat forming the wicking layer.

Insulated building studs and methods of manufacturing the insulated building studs are disclosed. The insulated building studs includes a first portion, a second portion, an insulated portion with a first side and a second side, wherein the first portion is coupled to the first side of the insulated portion and the second portion is coupled to the second side of the insulated portion to form a building member, and at least one mesh coupled to at least one of a top and a bottom of the building member. A method of manufacturing insulated building studs is also disclosed.

PANEL FOR STONES AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
20220090387 · 2022-03-24 ·

Panels for coupling stone or brick units to a wall structure are disclosed herein. The panels can include an expanded polystyrene foam having a plurality of laterally extending channels formed on one or more of a first and second side of the panel. The channels can aid in adhering a plurality of stone or brick units to the panel. The width of the channels can be less than the width of the stone or brick units such that the stone or brick units are disposed outside the channels when coupled to the panel.

MICRO-SUCTION REUSABLE AND REPOSITIONABLE WRITING SURFACES
20220063324 · 2022-03-03 ·

A re-useable writing surface reusably and removably coupled to exterior surfaces is disclosed. The re-useable writing surface may include a porous layer. The porous layer may define one or more cells. The re-usable writing surface may further include a non-adhesive coating applied to a side of the porous layer. The re-usable writing surface may further include a writeable layer coupled to a different side of the porous layer. The writeable layer may be configured to allow a user to draft and erase content. The non-adhesive coating can enable the re-useable writing surface to reusably and removably couple to exterior surfaces.

Composite Foam Article

A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article also comprises at least one supplemental layer comprising an ethylene and acrylic acid copolymer dispersed in and/or disposed between any of said aforementioned skins and core.

DEVICE FOR SURFACE COVERING
20220063234 · 2022-03-03 ·

A device includes a substrate (20), a first adhesive (33), and a carrier layer (50). The substrate has a finish layer (40). The substrate has sufficient flexibility to allow manual rolling and to allow manual unrolling without damage. The substrate has a plurality of discontinuous segments (70A, 70B, 70C). The first adhesive is disposed on an opposing side of the finish layer. The first adhesive is configured for pressure sensitive bonding. The first adhesive has a release characteristic such that the substrate can be bonded and disbonded relative to a substantially planar surface and incur no damage. The carrier layer (50) is bonded to the finish layer by a second adhesive (55). The second adhesive is configured to retain the plurality of discontinuous segments infixed spatial alignment. The second adhesive is configured to cleanly disbond from the finish layer by manual peeling.

Cover Film for Plastic Foam Laminates
20220065025 · 2022-03-03 · ·

This application is designated for use on the adhesive surface of plastic foam laminates. Such laminates can stop heat loss from architectural glass about 90-98%. The industry standard for covering silicone adhesive calls for fluoro-silicone coated films. Due to the unsuitability of these cover films, a new cover film is proposed. The preferred cover film is described as a tulle polyester/nylon mesh film about 1-5 mils thick.
