Pipe insulation jacket with reinforcement member
A reinforced insulation jacket for a pipe includes a first jacket member and a second jacket member, each jacket member including a dimensionally stable, thermally insulating material having the shape of a semi hollow cylinder. Both the first jacket member and second jacket member have substantially identical cross sectional shape and are adapted to be joined to form a hollow cylinder, thereby enclosing the pipe to be insulated. A reinforcement member is located within the dimensionally stable, thermally insulating material body of at least one of the jacket members. This reinforcement member generally comprises a rod component and two end cap pieces. The end cap pieces generally are plastic, and rod component, in various embodiments, generally includes iron, steel, or a hard plastic, and generally is a rigid rod. The reinforcement member provides additional stiffness to the dimensionally stable, thermally insulating material body of the jacket member.
Tile with imitation grout line
A tile that may be used as a covering on a floor, wall, or other surface comprises a top section, a protective section, a vinyl layer, an optional core layer, and an exposed portion formed along at least one of its sides and structured to represent an imitation but highly realistic looking grout line. The exposed portion may be formed on at least a portion of the top section. The vinyl layer is generally disposed between the top section and the core layer. The vinyl layer generally comprises a solid vinyl material comprising polyvinyl chloride and stone dust. In some embodiments, the exposed portion is also formed across a middle section of the tile, and may further include an interconnecting mechanism to facilitate installation. The exposed portion may also be formed at least one a portion of the top section above the interconnecting mechanism.
Hydrogel-elastomer hybrids
Hydrogel-elastomer hybrids with interfacial bonding tougher than epidermis-dermis interfaces and functional micro-channels and micro-patterns can be created by pre-shaping both elastomers and hydrogels before bonding to conserve their micro-structures, modifying cured elastomer surfaces with benzophenone for chemical bonding with hydrogels, and harnessing dissipative properties of tough hydrogels to achieve robust interfaces.
DECORATIVE SHEETS
A decorative sheet includes a primary film layer; a transparent resin layer; and a surface protective layer, in this order; the surface protective layer is formed of a plurality of layers with a layer located on an outermost surface is a surface protective layer, and a layer underlying the surface protective layer is a second surface protective layer and includes one or more ionizing radiation-curable resins having an erosion rate E in a range of 0.10 μm/g or more and 0.45 μm/g or less, and one or more thermosetting resins having an erosion rate E in a range of 0.30 μm/g or more and 0.6 μm/g or less, the erosion rate E being measured by using polygonal alumina powder having an average particle size (D50) of 1.2 μm, and a mass ratio between the ionizing radiation-curable resin and the thermosetting resin (ionizing radiation-curable resin/thermosetting resin) is 95/5 to 40/60.
