FLOOR, WALL, OR CEILING PANEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A floor, wall, or ceiling panel and to a method for producing same. The panel has a base made of a wood material and an upper veneer. The base and the veneer are hot-pressed together while incorporating a resin layer. During the pressing process, pores, cracks, and/or gaps in the veneer are filled with resin. In particular, the pressing process is carried out such that the veneer is saturated with resin, and the resin can be seen on the surface of the veneer after the pressing process. The adhesion of the veneer to the base and the smoothing of the veneer are thus carried out in one operation.
Fire resistant article, and associated production method
A method of forming an article and associated article are provided. Multi-fiber cellulose strips are interacted with a bonding agent and layered in a plurality of layers, the layered cellulose strips collectively defining opposed major surfaces. A porous sheet member, interacted with a fire-retarding solution, is engaged with at least one of the major surfaces of the layered cellulose strips, such that the porous sheet member substantially covers the at least one major surface. The layered cellulose strips and the porous sheet member are collectively exposed to an actuating element, configured to actuate the bonding agent to facilitate cohesion of the layered cellulose strips and the porous sheet member, to form a board member, wherein the at least one major surface cooperates with the porous sheet member engaged therewith, in response to the actuating element, such that the porous sheet member forms a substantially smooth and uniform surface.
FLOOR PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLOOR PANELS
A floor panel has a substrate and a decorative layer of wood veneer provided thereon having a thickness of 1 millimeter or less. The substrate has an average density of more than 750 kilograms per cubic meter. The floor panel is rectangular and oblong and comprises a pair of opposite short edges and a pair of opposite long edges. The floor panel, on at least said two opposite long edges, is provided with coupling means allowing that two of such floor panels can be coupled to each other in a vertical direction perpendicular to the plane of the coupled panels and in a horizontal direction in this plane and perpendicular to the respective edge. The wood veneer and/or the substrate immediately underneath the wood veneer is treated at least at the short edges with a fluoro copolymer or a polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate.
MANUFACTURING OF DECORATIVE SURFACES
A method for manufacturing decorative surfaces includes, in order, the steps of a) inkjet printing an image on a first thermoplastic foil by jetting and UV curing one or more pigmented free radical UV curable inkjet inks on the first thermoplastic foil; b) applying on the inkjet printed image a second thermoplastic foil carrying a layer containing a vinylchloride-vinylacetate-vinylalcohol copolymer with the layer facing the inkjet printed image on the first thermoplastic foil; and c) heat pressing the first and second thermoplastic foils into a decorative laminate; wherein at least one of the first and second thermoplastic foils is transparent, and the one or more pigmented free radical UV curable inkjet inks contain a polymerizable composition having: 30 to 90 wt % of one or more compounds with one ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable group; 10 to 70 wt % of one or more compounds with two ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups; and 0 to 10 wt % of one or more compounds with three or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups.
CONSTRUCTION ASSEMBLY MADE WITH FIBER GLASS
Provided is a construction assembly comprising: a. a base; b. a layer of glass fiber placed directly on the base; and c. a decorative layer having a plurality of tiles placed immediately on the glass fiber, wherein the glass fiber is mixed with a hardener and a resin to attach the glass fiber directly to the base and the decorative layer.
FLOOR PANEL AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING FLOOR PANELS
A floor panel with a substrate and a decorative layer of wood veneer with a thickness of 1 millimeter or less and provided on the substrate. The decorative layer is provided on the substrate by means of a glue layer which is situated between the substrate and the decorative layer. The glue layer comprises hard particles with an average particle size which is at least one third of the thickness of the wood veneer. Methods for manufacturing such floor panels are provided.
Composite sandwich components
Methods of manufacturing composite sandwich components (100) and composite sandwich components overcome drawbacks in the prior art. For example, the large number of resin filled perforations that are unavoidable when manufacturing prior art composite sandwich components is avoided.
MICRO-PERFORATED WOOD VENEER ACOUSTIC PANEL
The present disclosure relates to an acoustic panel having a fiberglass layer and a panel disposed on the fiberglass layer, the panel having perforations formed therethrough, wherein the acoustic panel has a noise reduction coefficient of at least 0.7.
Method for manufacturing a molded part
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a molded part, comprising the steps of providing a wood veneer that is intended for forming the decorative layer, applying lacquer, in particular a synthetic material lacquer, to the front side of the wood veneer, the lacquer being applied to some sections of the front side of the wood veneer according to an intended pattern or symbol, back-injecting the wood veneer on the rear side of the wood veneer with a backing material, in particular an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) copolymer synthetic material, for forming the backing, pickling the wood veneer on the front side of the wood veneer, in particular with a water-soluble pickling agent.
BOARD MATERIAL PROCESSING COMPOSITION, BOARD MATERIAL LAMINATE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BOARD MATERIAL LAMINATE
To provide a board material processing composition allowing for production of a board material laminate that is non-combustible and is excellent in adhesion performance. In order to solve this problem, a board material processing composition inhibiting combustion of a board material due to heating, comprises: a carbonization promotion component, being inorganic, promoting carbonization of an organic component within the board material at the heating; a chain inhibition component, being inorganic, inhibiting a reaction chain to a neighboring component due to a product of endothermic decomposition generated at the heating; and binder particles, being inorganic and hydrophobic, bonding the organic component within the board material to the carbonization promotion component and the chain inhibition component, wherein the carbonization promotion component includes boric acid, the chain inhibition component includes ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, and the binder particles include silica sand.
