Laminated film structure comprising at least one first film having a thin ceramic or metal coating, being laminated to a second film and whereby the laminated film structure is based on polyethylene only, i.e. polymers other than polyethylene are substantially absent and whereby the laminated film structure has good barrier properties
HIGH PRESSURE LAMINATE PANEL AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to a high pressure laminate panel having a surface layer on at least one panel surface, which has as the outermost layer a polymer coating with a polyurethane(meth)acrylate polymer, and which is characterized by excellent scratch resistance and resistance to weathering. Furthermore, a method for the production of polyurethane(meth)acrylate-coated high pressure laminate panels is provided.
Chromatic mirror, chromatic panel and applications thereof
Chromatic components are presented which alleviate the usage in various applications in that this chromatic component is, according to a first aspect of the present application, made-up of a mirroring surface and a diffusing layer in front of the mirroring surface, which preferentially scatters short-wavelength components of impinging light with respect to long-wavelength components of the impinging light, and in that according to another aspect, the chromatic component is made up of a stratified-glass panel which comprises two less sheets sandwiching an adhesive transparent polymeric film wherein the adhesive transparent polymeric film forms a diffusing layer which preferentially scatters short-wavelength components of light passing the stratified-glass panel with respect to long-wavelength components of this light with respect to long-wavelength components of the same.
Conformable reflective film having specified reflectivity when stretched at room temperature
The present disclosure includes a stretchable reflective film comprising a transparent polymer layer; a continuous metal layer comprising at least one of tin or indium; a non-reactive adhesive layer; and a stretchable film layer. The stretchable reflective film has at least 30% specular reflectivity when stretched by 50% of the unstretched length according to Specular Reflectivity Test Method.
LOW STRESS ATTACHMENT FOR HIGH GLOSS WEATHERABLE POLYCARBONATE DECORATIVE APPLICATIONS
A vehicle body assembly includes a first body wholly or partly made of a first polymeric material. The first polymeric material includes a polycarbonate and has a 60-degree gloss that is equal to or greater than 80 gloss units. The first body defines an outermost surface of the vehicle body assembly. The first body may be an exterior trim component, such as a grille portion, and may have a black color. The vehicle body assembly further includes a second body coupled (e.g., chemically bonded) to the first body. The second body may be a support body configured to support the exterior trim component and is wholly or partly made of a second polymeric material. The second polymeric material is different from the first polymeric material, and the outermost surface of the first body faces away from the second body.
MONOVINYLIDENE AROMATIC MULTILAYER SHEET CONTAINING IMPACT MODIFIERS
FDisclosed herein are compositions including a thermoformable sheet having three of more layers. Two layers include one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber, one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer and unsaturated nitrile containing copolymers, or a blend of one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers and a polyolefin, which exhibit resistance to environmental stress cracking. At least one of the two layers is an outer layer. An inner layer includes post-consumer recycled monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber, post-industrial recycled monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber. Optionally, the composition may include virgin monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber. Optionally, the composition may include an outer layer which is a gloss layer.
Decorative sheet and decorative plate
A pattern layer formed on a sheet base material, a first surface protective layer formed on the pattern layer, and a second surface protective layer partially formed on the first surface protective layer. The first surface protective layer and the second surface protective layer each have a gloss different to each other. The sheet base material is a thin paper that has a T-type peeling strength of 130 gf/15 mm or more and 210 gf/15 mm or less and an air permeability in accordance with JIS P 8117 of 150 seconds or more.
Method for evaluating laminate, device for evaluating laminate, method for manufacturing laminate, and device for manufacturing laminate
A method of evaluating a laminate formed of two or more layers bonded to each other includes an image obtaining step of obtaining a two-dimensional image of the laminate; a detecting step of detecting air-pocket corresponding regions from a two-dimensional image; a characteristic value obtaining step of determining a characteristic value related to areas of the air-pocket corresponding regions; and an evaluation step of evaluating the laminate based on the characteristic value. is a method of evaluating a laminate.
