HIGH-BARRIER RECYCLABLE FILM
Disclosed herein are high-barrier recyclable films for packaging having a composition of at least 95% polyethylene. The film is comprised of an oriented and annealed base film, a sealant and a barrier material between the base film and the sealant. The film can be used for high-performance packaging applications, providing good appearance and high barrier.
SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes: a cylindrical can; an electrode assembly in the cylindrical can with an electrolyte, the electrode assembly including a cathode and an anode; a cap assembly coupled to a top of the cylindrical can; and a plate-shaped upper insulating plate between the electrode assembly and the cap assembly. The upper insulating plate includes: a main layer having a plurality of pores extending between an upper surface and a lower surface thereof; and an auxiliary layer adhered to at least one surface of the main layer and partially melted by the electrolyte.
CONTAINER
A container made of a sheet material including a plurality of layered film layers including a first film layer and a second film layer. The sheet material is formed into a bag by attaching at least a part of a periphery of the sheet material to form a containing region for accommodating a content inside the second film layer. The container includes, between the first film layer and the second film layer, a film attached portion where the first film layer and the second film layer are attached to each other, and a filler enclosed portion bulged out to a thickness direction of the sheet material than the film attached portion because the filler is present therein. A printed layer including an ink layer is formed on at least one surface selected from outside and inside surfaces of the first film layer, and outside and inside surfaces of the second film layer, and the printed layer is removable from the surface of the film layer by washing with an aqueous solvent.
HEAT STABLE MULTILAYER BARRIER FILM STRUCTURE
A durable barrier film including a polymeric substrate layer having a thickness between (10) and (100) pm, an inorganic coating layer, and a polymeric buffer layer positioned between the polymeric substrate layer and the inorganic coating layer, the polymeric buffer layer in direct contact with the inorganic coating layer, wherein the inorganic coating layer comprises a wave structure characterized by an average amplitude between (0.25) and (1.0) pm and a wavelength between (2) and (5) pm.
ADDITIVE-CONVEYING LAMINATE LAYER
A manufactured wood panel or board with an integrated conveying laminate that conveys a fire resistant (FR) additive to specific locations within the panel or board during the manufacturing process, and the process and system for producing a panel or board with an FR conveying laminate. The laminate may be a natural or synthetic material with a closed (i.e., solid) or open (i.e., mesh-like) surface. In addition to providing resistance to fire spread and fire combustion, the laminate also may be selected from a group of materials that produce desired structural properties (i.e., minimize cracking, enhance structural integrity) both before and during a particular event, such as a fire event.
Filler-containing film
A filler-containing film has a structure in which fillers are held in a binder resin layer. The average particle diameter of the fillers is 1 to 50 μm, the total thickness of the resin layer is 0.5 times or more and 2 times or less the average particle diameter of the fillers, and the ratio Lq/Lp of, relative to the minimum inter-filler distance Lp at one end of the filler-containing film in a long-side direction, a minimum inter-filler distance Lq at the other end at least 5 m away from the one end in the film long-side direction is 1.2 or less. The fillers are preferably arranged in a lattice form.
Method for producing a packaging material
A packaging material is provided, comprising a core material layer and at least one polymer layer being laminated thereto. The core material layer is provided with at least one area being configured to assist in folding the packaging material into a bottom end corner of a package to be formed, wherein the packaging material comprises a first set of crease lines being designed to form a bottom end of the package, and a second set of crease lines being designed to form a main body of the package. The at least one area comprises an intersection of a plurality of crease lines, each having a triangular cross-section, while a plurality of crease lines of the first set of crease lines, each having a triangular cross-section and having a virtual extension through the intersection, are terminated such that they end at a distance from the intersection.
Surface veil and surface film integrated prepreg layer and processes for making the same
A ready to use surface veil and surface film integrated prepreg layer which is suitable to use in the production of lightweight structural parts/panels with class A surfaces includes a curable bottom base resin formulation including a curable bottom base resin, at least one first toughening agent, at least one accelerator, at least one curing agent and at least one hardener. The prepreg layer further includes a release paper that is coated with the curable bottom base resin formulation to obtained curable bottom base resin formulation coated release paper as a first resin film; a reinforcement fabric; an outer resin formulation including the outer resin which is the curable bottom base resin being 10% more viscous than the resin, at least one thermoplastic toughening agent, at least one accelerator, at least one curing agent and at least one hardener agent.
Multi-chamber pouch
A multi-chamber pouch is provided having two or more three separate chambers that are stacked. The pouch includes two outer sheets formed of low-oxygen transfer material and one or more interior sheets are disposed between facing inside surfaces of the outer sheets such that all the sheets are stacked face-to-face. Peripheral edges of the sheets are sealed together (e.g., in conjunction with insertion of product) to form fluid tight chambers. In an arrangement using two interior sheets, three chambers are formed between the outer sheets. In an arraignment, alcohol containing liquid products are sealed within the chambers. Such a product may be frozen to provide an alcoholic ice-confection.
PACKAGING FILM FOR RETORT APPLICATIONS
