PREPREG, LAMINATE, AND MOLDING
An object of the present invention is to provide a prepreg and a laminate for producing a laminate suitable as a structural material, which have excellent compressive strength and interlaminar fractural toughness values, and can be firmly integrated with another structural member by welding. The present invention provides a prepreg including the following structural components [A] reinforcing fibers, [B] a thermosetting resin, and [C] a thermoplastic resin, in which [B] has a rubbery state elastic modulus of 10 MPa or more at a temperature obtained by adding 50° C. to a glass transition temperature in a state in which a degree of cure is 90% or more, [C] is present in a surface of the prepreg, and the reinforcing fibers [A] are present, which are included in a resin area including {B] and a resin area including [C] across an interface between the two resin areas.
MULTILAYER RIBLET APPLIQUES
Multilayer riblet appliques are disclosed. An example riblet applique includes a fluorosilicone riblet structure including riblet ridges and a base from which the riblet ridges extend, and a support layer proximate the fluorosilicone riblet structure. The support layer includes a vacuum-plasma-treated polymer film having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and a polymer sub-layer proximate the second surface of the polymer film.
Intermediate transfer member
An intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use with a printing system, the ITM having (a) a support layer; and (b) a release layer having an ink reception surface and a second surface opposing the ink reception surface, the second surface attached to the support layer, the release layer formed of an addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material, wherein the release surface of the release layer has relatively hydrophilic properties with respect to the addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material.
FLAME RESISTANT NON-NEWTONIAN PAD
A pad for protective garments comprises an outer layer of heat and flame resistant material, and inner layer of heat and flame resistant material, and a cushioning layer disposed therebetween. The cushioning layer is produced from a non-newtonian material. A pad assembly may be formed using the pad along with a piece of flexible material attached thereto. The pad, or the pad assembly including the pad, may be used with protective garments such as firefighter turnout gear.
POLYMER FILM AND LAMINATE
An object of the present invention is to provide a polymer film, in which in a case where a laminate is manufactured by sticking a metal foil to the polymer film, the adhesiveness between the polymer film and the metal foil is excellent, and the performance of suppressing a misregistration of a wiring line formed on the metal foil is excellent even in a case of further laminating a sticking material on the wiring line; and a laminate.
A polymer film including a liquid crystal polymer, in which in a case where an elastic modulus at a position A at a distance of half of a thickness of the polymer film from one surface toward the other surface of the polymer film is defined as an elastic modulus A and an elastic modulus at a position B at a distance of ⅛ of the thickness of the polymer film from one surface toward the other surface of the polymer film is defined as an elastic modulus B in a cross-section along a thickness direction of the polymer film, a ratio B/A of the elastic modulus B to the elastic modulus A is 0.99 or less and the elastic modulus A is 4.0 GPa or more.
